Ethereum is losing its value and utility lately as some coins can now perform smart contracts which used to be the winning point for ethereum. Ethereum now has bnb to challenge with as most erc20 tokens are now migrating to binance chain which at current state is obviously more promising. I hope things happens well for ethereum though.

It sounds you are just simply a pro-Eth person than on Bitcoin one.Nothing do last forever on the top spot and cant be replaced but for any altcoin
in the market tending to get that position might take some time.

I do agree with that. I don't think people are really losing confidence with ethereum platform. Most of the projects are still using eth and once they establish their own, they migrate from eth to their own. But it doesn't mean that they lost confidence in that way. Why would they use eth in the first place? Those who are sincere and legit are the ones migrating to their own because they have the capability to proceed with their developments. But all in all, eth is so much alive, their team is doing their job to advance their platform.

Not  all people are losing confident for ethereum capabilities to,rise it again in the market, but we need to admit a lot of people are suffering loses investing in ethereum that's why theynlost their hope and confident.
The reason of the lost confidence and believe is the wrong decision or out of patience holding ethereum and they it in the low value.
We knowa the current price of ethereum is harder to uprise, i think if bitcoin not to reach the 15,000$ margin ethereum will still stay in a low value. That is only my own opinion and observation.

It will not die but the fact the demand for ethereum has already gone, maybe you can argue if the fall and rise the price of ethereum is a common thing but when you are early traders who know everything about ethereum and the fundamental of ethereum is so weak. In 2017 ethereum was so easy to increase and decrease and at that time ether has more volatility compared with this time and it's really different.
IEO market has already caught the ico demand and the majority of ico investors are moving towards IEO.
It's not and FUD but the transition of the old to the new system is a real thing just like what has already happened with IEO that gives a huge impact to the ethereum.

Many altcoins came from eth platform and some were using it before they created their own blockchain why? It is easy and very flexible however since it is very easy to use, there are also a lot of shitcoins that are coming in. And maybe, the team should at least do something about it. Trust lost because they were disappointed with the conditions of Ethereum. Kalu See the situation now Ethereum is running very slowly. And there are other factors like many projects with the Ethereum platform having decreased and failures.

I am one of the ETH believer and enthusiast, As far as I can see with its price in the market, it performs good actually in my opinion.
And why will believe in those FUD news about it. Remember that ethereum has a bright future just be patience and do not lose hope mate.

Altcoin market is very shaky as well, but we don't know, maybe next year we will see a bull run, coinciding with bitcoin anticipated massive run because of the block halving. Plus there is news of Ethereum 2.0 so everything is not lost here.

I think it's not Ethereum per se, but the whole ICO's model here. I mean Ethereum enjoy it's moment when projects left and right are very successful. However, when the whole ICO model is exposed as being used by scammers, investors lost it's trust with Ethereum as well.

I think it is unfair to equate Ethereum with ICO. Ethereum =/= ICO. Therefore, the weakening of ICO is not the weakening of Ethereum. The eventual death of ICO is never the eventual death of Ethereum. The Ethereum platform was used by a lot of crypto projects before simply because it was the best. And thanks to Ethereum, the crypto border is pushed from the inside farther and farther, giving massive opportunities both for traditional companies and start-ups to get involved into the crypto phenomenon.

nobody who had minimal familiarity with economics and this market had any confidence in the long term potential of ethereum ever. the unlimited supply alone guarantees that this coin has no future as a long term investment.
what you saw so far has been two things:
1. the short term confidence in the pump that can only last a short time which is why all the good traders dumped it back in 2017 and got out.
2. the newbies false hope thinking they had struck oil and were going to become rich by bag holding.

this project has too many issues to be able to continue in long term. it simply has an expiration date where the centralized owners would run out of money to inject in it for pumping and keeping alive.

I also still believe in ETH, and I still hold it. Well, many people may be hesitant to hold ETH now, because the development is quite slow. however ETH is still very worth having.

but, I know why many people are disappointed with ETH, maybe because until now, the prediction of high ETH prices has not been achieved. Well, I also feel that, but I still believe in the potential of ETH that can reach high prices.
