SCAM ICOs, what we can do?

if we want to sue them legally, of course, we can, but if we are bounty hunters who want to sue them, of course it will cost a lot to be legally processed, but because we are constrained because our capital can only surrender and try not to choose ICO scam for the future.

It must be done by investors and the bounty hunters have no power to do that cuased by the regulation will only prevent the scammer to run away with the investor's money. Some investors have already taken the legal impact for some scam icos and they were getting jailed.

In my opinion, we should try to avoid involving in a scam project before actually getting into it! The cryptocurrency market isn't new anymore, it has been around for a while! We all are aware of scammers in this market! Therefore, before doing anything, think twice or even more! Doing good research and asking others for confirmation in this forum will help a lot in making decisions!

There is nothing to do legally. In last few years many icos exit scams. Many people try to take legal step. But somehow they escaped. And in most cases it's hard to take action cause they are in other countries. The only thing we could do is not to invest in those icos. For that grow your knowledge and before the investment do some research on your own. That's it. There's nothing more we can do.

In my opinion, the only solution to scam ICO is to carry out strict investigations about any project  and the Team before investing in such projects. However, there is nothing we can do to those developers we cannot punish them .  hence  scam investors and go free because the crypto market is not regulated.
  I wont be surprised if Some developers create  multiple projects and conduct ICOs for the sole purpose of scamming investors.  investors need to be wise in investing.

There is nothing you can do to scammers, the only thing you can do is to save yourself and not patronise them, this can only be done by doing your due diligence and make sure you take all precautionary measures, make sure you have followed all the social handle of the project you want to invest, atleast it will help a little.

The only thing we can do is to learn how o detect a scam ico maybe we need to select ico that has a good team with a good background to avoid scam ico and prevent the loss of funds,I believe that scam ico is always there but we can avoid it if we can determine it. Learn from the experience and be more active on searching or finding a documents of legitimacy is a good way to know more or point out scam ico.

The investor is the only party that can try to take legal action against the scam ico. Did you see what happened with bitclave? some US investors who have participated in the sale has already created a report to the SEC and bitclave has already sued by SEC. the investors have a lot of evidences to take the scammers to the court.

That only happens in those developed countries such as the U.S or EU. In the other nations where the laws about the cryptocurrency still not clear and fully effective, we barely can do anything to the scammers. Even if we can bring them to court, it's most likely to take a lot of time and effort. There is one thing we can effectively do for sure is that doing good research about any project we intend to join! Better defend ourselves before any attack!

IEOs on small exchanges are like ICOs, you will never get a profit when investing in those IEOs. It is true that we should only care about IEOs at the top exchanges because that is the only way to be profitable when investing in new projects.

Hi, recently so many past-ICOs turned into a scam or a deadcoin.
Is there anything what we can do to punish them? More than 2 years ICOs are scamming us and still people are investing, is this really a world what we want to create?

We cannot punish them unless we can pay some legals and unite as community to sue them. Some scam cases has been brought to the court.
Therefore, we should very careful when we are about to joining ICOs, but ICO is not good nowadays, IEO is.

So true! However I don't think there is anyone willing to invest in ICO projects anymore since there were too many scammed ones. Though, if you want to invest in any kind of project, you should do very good researches before investing. Don't be too positive when investing, always be skeptical. You better take cautions before actions!
