Buying XRP is always a bad idea. I mean come on, Ripple Labs holds a huge amount of the total XRP; and while that's just the tip of the iceberg, that itself should put "investors" off. But nope, people apparently do their research on Reddit and on Twitter.

Besides all that, while I think it's a very bad long term investment, there are good short-mid term trading opportunities with XRP though.

XRP like most of the shitcoins out there is not a good option to buy at all. the only thing that makes it good is those small number of days that it gets pumped but then the problem here is that you will NEVER be able to predict when those days are going to come and until they come, the price continues going down.

Of course there is always opportunity in this market not just for XRP. But you have to look at the overall sentiments of investors towards crypto. I have yes it has it's best time but when investors realised that this is just a bankers coins then everyone really went on the opposite side or just ride the pump and dump and then exited on time.

The coin is overvalued even at the current price, at a huge supply, it's price now at .26 usd.
If we noticed, XRP only rises when bitcoin is on a run, I believe there's some manipulation happening because they are holding a huge volume of XRP..
Personally, I don't consider investing in centralized coin with huge supply, I am more on compared to XRP and that's why I called it a success when ETH finally took over the number 2 spot in the market, and I have a feeling that soon, XRP will be dethrone by BNB which is a high potential coin than XRP state now.

It entire depends on the scenario. People with investor mindset would love to invest in ripple in case it hits its all time low. But a lot depends on the other crypto prices as well. If the entire market goes down, it makes sense to invest because we all know the upside potential at a later stage. But if only Ripple goes down, then there might be something wrong with this particular coin! So it entirely depends on the situation!

I tried to check on coinmarketcap the lowest price of XRP in 2014, not 0.001USD but around 0.0028USD, but if XRP would return to its lowest price of 0.001 USD as you mentioned or 0.0028 USD listed in CMC there would still be a very large decrease.

When you come to this forum then I believe there is many people who don't like ripple and they will give a suggestion to avoid to buy this altcoin. Ripple is centralized coin which is mean there is a party who have a bag holder of Ripple and it could be when the price up they will sell the coin so as will make the ripple price goes down again.

Including me, I won't take any action to find or even to decide to buy Ripple cause I just believe I'll end up in lose if I buy this coin. Although there is many information who stated that the coin will have a high price on their prediction surely I'll not follow they rules. Just pick altcoin such as ETH or litecoin and I'm that is the best thing to do rather than to buy Ripple.

I am not agaisnt XRP, but this is what I think will gonna happen to xrp. I had full regrets investing those xrp coins before and will not suggest this coin for those who want to put their money into it. I can't see optimistic future and if xrp will go back to it's price at $.001, it is really possible. But of course, who am I to discourage investors who wanted to buy at the lowest price of such coin? Nothing is clear with it. It seems that the cryptocurrency is supported by many banks and even can exchange Western union, but in reality, everything differs. XRP tokens are declining, and now, it is hard to believe that Ripple is good for those investors, who want to make a profit  during Ripple growth. No, I don't think there's any chance of XRP dropping to $0.001. A quick calculation, that is equivalent to Bitcoin dropping to about $35. It's ridiculous and won't happen. If for some reason prices did drop that low, then it wouldn't be a bargain at all, it would mean that the coin is worthless, and probably that all of crypto is worthless. Won't happen.

Although it's not a good idea to buy XRP, with all of the prices so far, I think XRP has increased for a small price so people who already buy XRP can sell their coin to get their money back. But they can hold it for more if they believe that XRP price can increase in the next month and they still waiting for the highest price. It depends on every people on what they want, and if they think that XRP will give more profit again, they will buy more XRP while the price is not too high.

I guess the little increase we saw in ripple was just a test for holders to see if they are willing to still stay with ripple or not, but it is obvious that ripple team was disappointed as the moment they witnessed a little increase of recent, it was not long that the price dumped again, because people were virtually quickly pulling their money out which I honestly did too because I was tired of this project.

I don’t think that we will ever get the chance to remove the coins we have again and don’t be surprised if you see the price remain stagnant on this value for a very long time because they will not be willing to manipulate the price higher again having seeing how people are eager to move their coin out and it will then get to a stage where their investors will get tired and pull the remaining pieces out.

i agree, i do not see it below 0.25, XRP touched it few times during last turmoil, and the resistance seems to be proved... on the other hand, market cap is at 50% of ETH, and was above ETH a year ago, so last year was not good for XRP, even other altcoins were raising since January, XRP is staying behind the trend

Just like you too, I don't like ripple coin that much because I feel the coin is being controlled, and this control is what will make the coin never to dip that low, but it also would not rise more than the current value it has now. They have very strong community that is backing the project up becomes they are mainly bankers and they are using it for banking purpose, so it will be impossible for ripple to ever die because for it to turn that low, it has already become a shit coin which is not possible.   

Ripple may one be an like  a stable coin and will not be good for asset holding, which makes it not advisable for anyone to ever hold on to ripple for investment purpose but just for utility purpose of paying for products or making payment, and I don’t even think that it will be good for trading either.

My thoughts on this are that, it is definitely not worthy to invest in most especially with the scenario right now.. all time low prices but just like any other coin, it will just surprise us and XRP will top the charts once again. Coin holders who did not give up are the lucky ones.
