I'm not ashamed to be a degen and put some dollars on the side of Porter knowing that he has had some few run downs of his own, though the match-up is pretty much aligned for Spence seeing how the height and reach advantage dictates even this picture of them. Porter would need to work Spence out and wear him down early on else Spence would just be dancing around the ring and making a toy out of Porter, and those jabs? We already saw how effective it was against Garcia, and it might be the same story here.

Errol Spence is going to absolutely dominate Porter—not too excited for this fight to be honest, it's not even that competitive.

Porter already lost to Kell Brook, who got knocked out by Spence Jr ages ago. He's obviously two levels below Spence AT LEAST, so it should be an obvious knockout victory for Spence.

Props to Porter for stepping up though, he must know he's in for a whoopin'.

However, Porter was just too green in 2014 and Kell Brook was at his prime that time and it was "pre-Canelo damage his eye". While Spence faces Brook in 2017, totally damage good already and I would say already in the downturn of his career. So I'm not seeing Porter going to dominate by Spence here, he could steal some rounds. Shawn needs this fight to be wild and messy fight and make Spence uncomfortable here, just like what Porter shown in the Danny Garcia fight.

Well that's pretty much what Porter needs to do to stand any chance of winning—make it a brawl.

Spence Jr is used to fighting at range, keeping it technical, doesn't often getting into head to head bangouts.

Hopefully Porter can put it all on the line and go for an early KO, otherwise its a UD for Spence at the bare minimum.

That's what we are hoping for,  we all know that still up to this day, Pacquaio remains the "sweepstakes" here. Those who fought Pacquaio can get their biggest pay check so far. However, I've seen comments saying that this is going to be a difficult and dangerous fight for Pacquaio if Spence Jr win this one. So let's just enjoy this fight first and speculate later on who are Pacquiao going to fight next. Giving some time before I put a bet here, I like the chance of Porter here,

I haven't heard any news about it that the winner will have a mandatory fight against Pacquiao especially they are holding different world titles as of the moment. But if this what makes another Pacquiao fight happen then maybe seeing Pacman facing against his former sparring partner, Shawn Porter, would be a good feeling. It would be like a student against a master match although they fight differently I would like to see how the Porter will face against his former training partner and see who will win the match.

Spence Jr would definitely gonna crash Porter in this match considering the record, height, reach, etc., what else should we look to make the odds go high for Porter. I see how both fighters move inside the ring and i can definitely say that Porter is always open in defense while Spence Jr is good at defense and offense. But if Porter would change his style in this match he might have a chance to change the result.

Let's stop with Spence vs Pacquiao rumour. Spence for me is very dangerous for Pacquiao and he is "biting more than he can chew" here.

Spence is really a tall order even for Porter, 5'11? he can go as high as super middle or middleweight in his career. And the rehydration clause as well, how much is Spence going to weight during the fight?

Yeah props to Porter but I don't think that he can overcome a superior talent here. I think even Crawford will be having a hard time against Spence if they ever face in the future.

I'm not that expert when it comes to analysis within a boxing box but I've just said that those rumors are circulating so I was kind of expecting that the match will occur but you are right I guess that we should move on and forget about this rumor.

Why would Spence Jr want to fight Pacquiao next? Sure, he's number 3 in the division and has the WBA belt, but he's also rapidly getting older.

It would make more sense to fight Crawford next, get the WBO belt, then fight Pacman when he's old AF. He's already almost 41 years old, won't make any difference waiting until he's 42.

Anyway, he won't get that far since Crawford would beat his ass.

In case you missed it, Spence Jr. team decided to have a clash first with Porter since they had no chance dealing with Pacquaio this year because of what I mentioned above wherein Pacquaio will dedicate to work on the Senate on the remaining months this year after his last fight with Keith Thurman.

In case he wins (and he was sure of that) against Porter, his next target is Manny Pacquaio. Then if ever he will win again, his last stop for the next year is Terrence Crawford. No way he will take Crawford first because his desire for fighting Pacquaio will not happen if ever he will lose to this one of the prime boxers today.

However, that was just his plan as Manny's camp nor Crawford's camp doesn't have a plan for now, at least as far as the reports are a concern.

That division is more sensitive about maintaining weight associated with serious diet, so even how tall the boxer is, if they didn't maintain a good shape around the given weight for that division/class, boxers will have difficulty at the weigh-in and on the ring. It's more even dangerous for much taller guys. I see that height just have an advantage in lower weight division starting from Bantamweight to Featherweight since no need to put pressure on a diet since the weight requirement is easy to achieve.

But the problem is that there are fighters who don't put their reach on superior position. They just want to slug it out with the smaller guys and most of the time losses that advantage inside. Yes, Porter really knows how to used his tools that's why he win at close fight.

Same as here, I had a strong feeling that he made it and win this match. I will pick Spence Jr. If we base on the height. It's a good advantage for him.Especially the range but also it really depends on what strategy he will use to penetrate Porter and get a knockdown but also he needs to be careful because Porter is very quick as well. I can't wait the result between this fight and whos gonna win.

I'm reading all the comments here and it seems everybody here is voting for Errol Spence to win over Porter, I will not take Porter for granted because he is a very aggressive fighter, he actually fights like Mosley, he can negotiate the distance where Mikey Garcia fail he will succeed, because he has more guts than Garcia.

According to Nielsen Media Research figures released Tuesday, an average of 604,000 viewers watched FOX’s live airing of “PBC Countdown: Errol Spence Jr. Vs. Shawn Porter” on network television. The 30-minute program aired on the East Coast late Saturday night, following FOX’s live telecast of a college football game, Penn State’s 45-13 win over Buffalo, that aired in prime time.

This is big numbers I do hope that it will reflect on the actual fight and draw close to that numbers as well. It means that boxing is still on the mainstream although we don't have Mayweather as top US boxing attraction.
