Which Sport Has Many Gambling Supporters (State Your Opinion)

If we're talking about the whole world, this would certainly be boxing, although events on that sport rarely happens so viewership alone does not help in the statistics of the match since they are a rare feat (and most of the time, only the main event is being watched.) But in terms of gambling supporters, this certainly would be football/soccer knowing that there are loads of events to choose from and most teams are considered/deemed as superteams even if they lose to the weakest club in the game. Also, there are loads of lines for bets as well, so it's really a no-brainer that gamblers would choose the said sport knowing that they could further minimize the risk of losing and increase their odds of winning.

I voted Basketball and Soccer, probably these sports are the most well known around the world and these games are attained global appeal because of these game. All sportsbook sites contain different sports game but these two will always there in sports betting site. Upon the popularity of these games, people will decide to bet on every match. But the reply above was right, that people will choose to bet if the sports game is very well known to their place.

In addition to what others have said, indeed soccer has the most popularity among other sports, many of my country men have loved sport and this has been what we do and watch almost everyday till now. Even at the sensor level, we have seen that the crowned pulled by soccer is no near to any other game or sport in the universe.

i guess this will depend from one country to another because on some countries they do have thier own favorite sports game . in the usa and other foreign countries i always see that they love baseball  . on brazil and related countries to this they love soccer or football .  one one country they only love cricket . on local countries they love basketball but i think basketball is the most popular game or sports of them all since almost all country and people know it  .

I expect soccer to be the top choice, considering the many countries where soccer is the number one sports, soccer is not popular here in our country, only boxing, and basketball, and we do have an ending game here for basketball.

I'm going for Basketball since most of the people here in my country is addicted on the game Basketball, even the kids are starting to play basketball on the street. So, in my everyday life, I always see adults who play basketball with a bet or they are betting on their favorite team in NBA each game, it depends on them how it should be done, especially if we are talking Championship in NBA, people are going crazy arguing and saying that their "team" is going to win.

Here in my country, a lot of people are into basketball, either local or international team. Basketball is one of the most popular sports here, and I already saw and encountered a lot of people who bet (online or not) for the team they support in a game. It's very common here to bet money for your team along with your friends and acquaintance.

Most of the answer here is soccer but in my country, it doesn't really that hyped compare to basketball which almost all boys loved.

I'm just wondering, on what sport does have much popularity when it comes to betting. For I have seen even the last pages of this section has sports gambling topics that was killed long time ago and only few remains and actively running. So, I came to observe on which sport do they like the most, or perhaps which sports does have a most number of supporters here and their reason why they love it the most?
Besides, no one can even predict what will be the outcome, it sure is a Lucky guess (I think).

P.S. I have never been into sports betting, because for I'm not enjoying the thing,... I'd rather play dice than just watching them play for my money. But for me I just prefer Basketball(NBA).

Never expected cricket do have that lots of support and popularity. I do only focused on Soccer and Basketball though.

I believe its always depends on your location like for example in European countries Football is the most popular sport and also many gamblers are very active on this game, but in my location which is Asia there are small number of gamblers when it comes to Football the most popular here is basketball so many speculators are betting on Basketball even in international league, I tried to research to find some statistics on gambling on what sport gamblers usually bet but I have no luck.

Based on my participation I believe it is tennis and soccer. Apart from this more other sports also needs to be added. From my view in our forum we've got lot of cricket game gamblers and supporters. As few users stated the popularity varies based on the location. Western nations prefer soccer while Asians prefer cricket. Hands down, Football (don't use the word soccer, I hate that, lol) is the most popular game in the world and its dominance is notable in gambling world too. I am avid football supporter and never misses a single La Liga game. What I have noticed is that almost 80% of the advertisements on the ad boards around the ground are gambling related. Last year, FortuneJack was one of the leading advertisers for LaLiga matches. This year, 1xBet's ads are shown on ad boards for 20-25% playtime in every game.

The answer would be Football (not the American Football) since popularity of the sport alone gives a wider audience for the gambling industry. If you think about different popular teams we have on each country you will see that all of this teams have loyal supporters and these supporters also are part of betting with their team not to mention other football fans as well are also hooked in gambling in Football. Yeah, upon looking at the poll, I really never thought that Basketball will be only in 2nd place, Soccer game is really popular here as the survey says. Not only in Europe I guess, though I haven't watched any of it ever since, maybe I'll try these days so I can understand especially when it comes to betting. No doubt, football is the most popular sports globally so we can assume that it is also the sport where big money circulates whether on crypto or the usual fiat gambling. Great examples are FIFA World CUP and Super Bowl Event which always produced big wager compare to other international events such as FIBA World and even Olympics. But I think this depends to which country the gambler is, for someone which my country men likes basketball than any other sports, we always bet on basketball games. That is usually the case in PH because we are more of basketball enthusiast here. Football is not that hype as we all know that these sports can't just be played at the backyards or streets. Even with the popularity of Azkals PH in Asian tournament, it didn't really give much of a boost in terms of football popularity in PH.

Even with some of the big football events I mentioned above like Super Bowl, I only feel the impact of it on the cafe bars here. Betting is alive but only a few places their bet, at least as far as the all bettings made by each countries statistics* is a concern.

You’re right. It seem to be that PH has the finest or more on in sports of basketball that’s why it’s my first guess that slipped in my mind. Me in myself I don’t know that football has the most popular sports in the world this thread just happen to help me and make myself to do research on it.

One also reason why football soccer isn’t popular in PH is lacking of soccer field to played with. Like what you’ve just said we can’t play football (soccer) in the backyards or streets. So yeah, atleast I know now what’s the most popular sports.
