That is usually the case in PH because we are more of basketball enthusiast here. Football is not that hype as we all know that these sports can't just be played at the backyards or streets. You’re right. It seem to be that PH has the finest or more on in sports of basketball that’s why it’s my first guess that slipped in my mind. Me in myself I don’t know that football has the most popular sports in the world this thread just happen to help me and make myself to do research on it.

One also reason why football soccer isn’t popular in PH is lacking of soccer field to played with. Like what you’ve just said we can’t play football (soccer) in the backyards or streets. So yeah, atleast I know now what’s the most popular sports.

That there is no soccer hype in PH does not me you are blinded to the fact soccer is well dignified worldwide. The only game that brings the world generally together is soccer, how can you not be aware that football is the most popular sports in the world? Have you heard of fans calling themselves a particular club member and they get the jerseys and other items for recognition from other member when they meet outside. This is how big and united soccer supporters.

I have long known that soccer has the most supporters, it also has more players compared to other betting games and didn’t need the thread to make me understand.

Maybe horse racing is not among the most popular sports in the world, but in regards to gambling it is very important and, I agree with you, it should have been added to the OP's list. According to this wiki article:

Most people prefer soccer, I think the biggest sports gambling is soccer because soccer is much preferred. many sites offer bets such as guess what. but I don't like online but offline, that's more certain.

Basketball is only popular in America, in other parts of the world basketball is not too famous. different from soccer which spreads evenly to all parts of the world. but I prefer gambling online only, because offline is more complicated you have to find an opponent or dealer first to gamble

I am a big fan of sports gambling and I would like to add that apart from Soccer which I checked has been ranked number one on the poll, you should have also added cricket to the list. I fell it would have been ranked third in that list. Cricket is being played more nowadays and more and more people are betting on it.

I guess it's really based on what country you are living.

There are parts of Asia who loves basketball and cricket and soccer.
And then Europe who are also a big soccer fanatics but there are also basketball fans as well.

And North Americans who are tune in with football.

Same as other parts of Americas who are a die hard fans of soccer.

I didn’t expect sport racing to be on the list anyway, so I really don’t understand what is weird about the compilation since soccer is leading on the list which is absolutely right. It took someone time and effort to make a post and I think that should be appreciated, if you feel there’s something not right then make yours and let’s hear your own opinion.

Moreover, I don’t really think horse racing is that famous, so it’s not really a bad idea if found missing on the list and like you have rightly said, sport is not as popular as football even though it is common in gambling and for the records, it isn’t more famous than poker games and the rest of them, so I don’t agree that it is tied to gambling to gambling existence in your words.

But seriously, football/soccer is fun to watch. You just have to understand the rules just like any other sports. You do not see a lot of scoring but the intensity of the game is high most of the time. If my memory serves me right, the highest number of goals I've watched in a single match is 10 (Man United 8 - Arsenal 2).

That is a funny moments, and the commentator know what he should say. I think we have to see so much funny moments in any of sports and that will make us laugh. But I think that is why soccer have the biggest fan in the world, because they have many attractive moment that will make us curious.

If you just read some post above you then you will surely find that the answer has been already given and that’s soccer,and what about that “Fighting Sports”? Please be specific?but if your pointing to boxing and MMA then you’re wrong because those sports has limited audience and maybe popular in your country but not in another

I'm just wondering, on what sport does have much popularity when it comes to betting. For I have seen even the last pages of this section has sports gambling topics that was killed long time ago and only few remains and actively running. So, I came to observe on which sport do they like the most, or perhaps which sports does have a most number of supporters here and their reason why they love it the most?
Besides, no one can even predict what will be the outcome, it sure is a Lucky guess (I think).

P.S. I have never been into sports betting, because for I'm not enjoying the thing,... I'd rather play dice than just watching them play for my money. But for me I just prefer Basketball(NBA).

For me, the sports that have many gambling supporters is soccer or football because it's the most popular sports game in the world. But its depend on the country which you are in. In my country the famous sports are basketball, and most of the people know how the play basketball it's like common sports that you should know. Also, I often bet on basketball other than tennis, boxing, and soccer. But when it comes in the Super Bowl, I usually bet.

Fighting sports is a sport that I am not even interested in betting so far, but it is extraordinary in your place, because fighting sports are becoming a more popular sport in gambling or for betting, because as usual in my place sports betting related to ball is the most more popular.

I believe if the sportsbook has very popular on the internet, they will get so many gamblers that will come to their site and place their bet on each of sports. Soccer will be the biggest game that will people choose to gamble and with the big prizes which will be the winner, I am sure that will attract more gamblers to participate. That will give more money to the site and of course, the owner will make the biggest profit, especially if there is an exclusive match that will show like a World Cup.
