Will crypto really go to zero?

It's too sad a scenario. It cannot be that there will be only one bitcoin left. Most likely a large number of altcoins really die, but among them there are promising, who have a future.

Most of the altcoin but not all of the altcoin because that will not happen. I don't think that there will be the only bitcoin that will available, but the altcoin will stay beside of bitcoin no matter if bitcoin is at the highest price because the altcoin cannot separate from bitcoin and altcoin is one part in the cryptocurrency. So maybe there will be a new position in the market and only the good altcoins will stay in the market and that altcoin will give us a chance to make a profit in bitcoin.

Well no one can predict what will gonna happen to all tge cryptocurrencies fate in the future. If ever this theory will happen , many will possibly loss income and many investments from cryptocurrencies will be gone. But as long as cryptocurrencies are still alive and we make profits from it , we should only continou to invest and earn money from cryptos.

I would point out that Vitalik is not very good forecaster.  For example, in his whitepaper he suggested to use Ethereum contracts for DApp development of a file storage services.  Well, nobody using it as of now.  Take Haven app (https://gethaven.app/), for example - they simply using IPFS w/o any contracts; w/o blockchain even.
Regardless, what are the use cases for Ethereum? Trustless gambling and trustless currency exchangers?  Anything else?  Can they be implemented via Bitcoin script?  Pretty sophisticated stuff can be coded on Bitcoin (see Lightning).
At the same time, other alt-coins like Monero or ZCash for example, actually have evident use cases - like actual transaction anonimisation.

I am not sure what the other altcoins for.  

As for the question itself, there is simply no way crypto will be going to zero.  Cryptocurrencies bring the money back to people - so they are much better than the money issued by the governments.  Crypto is just too good to go down.

I don't believe that crypto will go to zero because all we know that it will never happened because once that there is only one user and investor of crypto this will have a value. It possible to make the crypto value will be fall as much as $1 but I don't believe that it will become priceless.

It's very much obvious now that cryptocurrency is not going to zero. I guess the prediction called by Vitalik would have been overturned if he made it yesterday. The world is gradually adopting blockchain and cryptocurrency. China is creating its own blockchain asset and likewise other centralized bodies. Crypto is going no where

Many people feel pessimistic about the future of crypto, this can be seen from the number of coins or tokens that continue to decline, people lose confidence because of many scam projects so I'm sure we will have a hard time again.

This is thought and possibilities can occur and may also not happen. We can see and feel that has happened in this industry. I personally feel that the crypto industry has a very good future, especially for top coins.

And do not close the possibility also that many countries will do mass adoption. Many in this industry happen competition and if they are not able to compete and develop the project, perhaps the project will be zero.

I really believe cryptocurrency will be zero (not worth) if what it says is vital buterin,
but I'm also sure those words have another meaning,
the point is cryptocurrency that does not have a clear usecase, a technique that only copy paste, an unprofessional team, then the cryptocurrency will be zero.
and for bitcoin or other altcoins that have a clear usecase, it is unlikely to be zero, because the blockchain is a solution that is needed in the future economy.

Don't think so. These days, I always see some kind of adoption or progress in cryptocurrency world, if it was otherwise I would say it is going to zero but that is not the case.

Crypto's success will largely depend on mainstream adoption for sure. Right now, there's huge volatility in prices making crypto terrible as a serious form of money for the world. There's fear among people that someday, crypto will become completely worthless because of their lack of use cases within the mainstream world. The situation will become worse as governments start rolling in their own Blockchain-based solutions within the future. Once Fiat adopts Blockchain technology, then there might be no use for alternative currencies after all.

Most decentralized cryptocurrencies these days are largely driven by hype/speculation. I believe that only Bitcoin and Ethereum are useful for the world, but they're still inferior to traditional payment processors. The more time they take on scaling, the worse it'll be for their mainstream adoption. And the lesser adoption there is, the lower prices will be for a specific cryptocurrency (due to lack of demand across the crypto market). I hope that I'm wrong, and that sometime in the future, cryptos like Bitcoin and Ethereum will take over the world.

Nonetheless, what's needed is proper regulatory measures in order to legitimize the crypto industry more thoroughly. Once that's done, then crypto could enjoy stable prices like Fiat. Only then, it'll be nearly impossible for crypto to go to zero, as there will be an already-established market that's trusted by investors worldwide because of its approved legitimacy by governments worldwide. Just my thoughts

I don't think Crypto's will ever end. There are millions of people involved. Everyone is making a future, it will be in a better position.Because it is now acting as a simple medium of exchange. Everyone is now accepting it from the banking medium. Transaction is possible on a regular basis.

For the whole cryptocurrency to fall in price to zero and break its existence, something very serious must happen, I can’t even imagine what factor it might be.  Vitalik Buterin said that crypto will be tending to zero continues to work on improving ETH and this contradicts his words.  Very large finances have been invested in cryptocurrency, many countries are developing their crypto coins.  Blockchain is becoming more and more popular and necessary every day.

In the objective reality, Vitalik never said any such thing.

in which he essentially agrees with lots of criticism and proposed the ways out of it.

And thats about it.  Not a word was from Vitalik related to "crypto will be going to zero".

I don't believe the market value of the cryptocurrency market cap will be zero. If regulations are the problem, I think the government of any country cannot prohibit the use of Bitcoin or other cryptocurrency because it is peer to peer and this is an agreement of both parties to the transaction

Cryptocurrency has been buried hundreds of times. I am still convinced that good projects will develop further, and the scam will go away
