I do not know how to think vitalic to say that, many are also annoyed at vitalic. My own opinion crypto could be zero but not in the near future, and I think there must be a dump or bad effect generated to make crypto zero.

The whole cryptocurrencies cant be go down to zero if it was just altcoin, yes it can go down to zero because when the price of bitcoin increases the price of altcoin decrease and if the price of bitcoin decrease the price of altcoin will decreasing also so there wasnt any excuse to help altcoin price goes higher and the price of crypto cant be go to zero.

I'm not sure. I am a newbie and always interested learning. But my question is if crypto go to zero then what will be the situation of the investor? They will face a huge lose I think.
Investors will not experience a big loss in crypto, because when ICO is no longer there, then there are other and better choices than ICO namely IEO which is now much favored by crypto investors and project developers in particular.

In my opinion, I do not think cryptocurrency will go to zero. Many tokens may disappear and go to zero. But the technology behind cryptocurrency will never vanishes and goes to zero. I believe most of the tokens in the market will disappear if they fail to satisfy the need and aspirations of the customers. Bitcoin and ethereum will ever stay with us.

Not really zero but it could go down just really low but if the demands are still there it will somehow have value which is above zero as long as it is still listed on the exchange. Although there's always a chance that such a thing could happen it's always better for us to be optimistic and supporting the cryptocurrencies. afterall, that's just only a possibility and not an absolute fate.

As long as there's still community and the developing teams are still working and trying to move forward and keeps doing updates surviving can be done. It's hard to predict the future of each crypto currencies the fate will be in the hands of the teams who created them, it's better to make your own assumptions and be willing to take your risk if you do believe that there's still something that will be provided by this industry in lines of investment purposes.

As long as the cryptocurrency attracts investors' attention and has demand, it will not be able to go to zero, on the contrary, every year more and more people are interested in cryptocurrency

YES! cryptocurrency might go to zero with 0.000001 percent possibility. How can it will gone to zero value? If all exchanges will be down and nothing will be online. If exchanges will not go to zero atleast all the people will abandon the cryptocurrency and will put no demand to any of crypto currency. And that is close to zero percentile.

Back in the day, Vitalik once said that crypto will be going to zero. There has been many concerns about the longevity of cryptocurrency as a serious form of money, given that it's relatively unstable within the mainstream world. It's been 10 years since Bitcoin was created where crypto has had its ups and downs. However, many are afraid that crypto will be going to zero as the blockchain hype ends and governments start rolling their own digital currencies. When we take a look at most cryptocurrencies on the market, most of them aren't even useful at all. Perhaps, the only one is Bitcoin but it's terrible as a currency for daily transactions. Which is why, I'm starting to wonder if crypto will really go to zero in the future? If this happens, then most of us will lose our hard-earned money as crypto becomes worthless. What are your thoughts? All crypto market to zero can not come, because it has gained popularity among people all over the world. There are people willing to invest and trade cryptocurrency. This creates a demand for some coins, and if there is demand price will never be zero. In this case, I assume large fluctuations in prices, because the market is more volatile.

It's highly unlikely... With the level of adoption and recognition already in place for cryptocurrencies, it is simply impossible to eradicate or picture the innovation dying away in the nearest future. Instead, there will continue to be more adoptions and utilization of the crypto technology and possibly, it may become the main financial system of tomorrow.

Welcome though and just keep learning. But my question is if crypto go to zero then what will be the situation of the investor? They will face a huge lose I think.
It won't go to zero. But let's get there and assume that cryptos are about to go zero then the investors will rush to dump each of their tokens. Everybody who holds and has invested that much will on the losing side.

although vitalik is one of person behind ethereum doesn't mean he can 't be wrong right? I believe that crypto made only for money, without new technology, features will go to zero. and finally crpto who will survive and have still have big market only crypto that follow market demand and deliver what people want. Crypto also need an evolution, so crypto can survive. Crypto with huge marketcap is not warranty they can survive for long time.
No need to wait for long term to proof it, just we saw back the moment. The moment before smart contract was made, people only know about bitcoin and altcoin with mining, pos, dpos, masternode and no smart contract, no dApps. There're coin named as primecoin, gridcoin, reddcoin, Litecoin, and many more. At the time, those coin become great coin with huge marketcap and huge volume, but what now?? LTC from 2nd big altcoin now down to no 5. Look primecoin from top 100 cmc to outside 100 cmc, and reddcoin from top 50 to top 100 cmc
I believe that crypto need an evolution too, to survive and keep up holder

Crypto going to zero? I do not believe this will happen, but saying certain coins will go to zero then I will believe, in fact majority are already zero while more are the path to zero. In this space, there are coins with great value like Bitcoin; now in the case of Bitcoin I do not believe it will head to zero rather it will grow as time goes by amidst the ups and downs of the crypto space. On the other hand, other coins which are yet to figure out their reason for existence will head to zero that's for sure and I don't hold such coins, in fact my top holding coins are Bitcoin and ETH. The more platforms adopts various crypto, the more it grows but with respect to the coin in question.

I don't want to make negative comments because it creates FUD, but this can happen. Exchanges that come from all investors establish the Crypto market. If there are no longer any investors interested in it and investing in it, then this bad thing will happen. Crypto exists only when it is still profitable for investors, and it will return to zero when it is no longer useful.

What are your thoughts? I think that bitcoin will not disappear. As you said, bitcoin is not convenient for making daily transactions, but it is well suited for storing large amounts of money. I think people will continue to use it for this purpose.

Cryptocurrencies are in variance. There are those solving real life problems and there are scam coins, which are total sh*t coins. However, seeing some go to zero will not amaze me, because they have nothing tangible to offer. Let government create their own digital currencies, cryptocurrency as far as I am concerned will still be relevant, but you should know that it is not going to be all.

As long people support cryptocurrencies like using for payment, transferring funds, investments... it will not go to zero. But there is possibility that crypto will really go to zero if the government wants to ban cryptocurrencies not just one country, but all countries.
That's certainly true, mate. Wide-spread support within the mainstream world will keep cryptocurrencies alive for a long time. It's all a matter of utility, whenever crypto proves to be useful for everyday people. So far, cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum are better than traditional payment systems (despite their current limitations). The fear that crypto will go to zero is largely attributed towards the volatile nature of digital assets. However, it seems very unlikely this happen in the future as crypto is becoming more adopted by businesses, corporations, and even governments worldwide. We even have centralized cryptocurrencies like XRP and Libra (soon) which will further increase the adoption of crypto and Blockchain technology. If all governments reach a common agreement to stop people using crypto, then it will go to zero without a doubt. However, knowing that governments have certain disagreements among them, this seems like a very unlikely scenario in the future. Which is why, it's safe to say that crypto will survive for a very long time. Whatever the price will be in terms of Fiat, no one knows for sure. In the end what really matters is crypto's usability instead of pricing, in my own opinion

no , I am not worried about the price and future of cryptocurrency, because I believe that crypto will also have a more valuable future, seeing that the growth of crypto prices this year also increases, so I think crypto will also continue to increase

What Vitalik probably meant is that the cryptocurrency created by him (Ethereum) will soon become worthless due to scalability issues and slow development. It is also true that the vast majority of the cryptocurrencies in existence have no well delineated purpose or usage. That's the reason why most of us call them "shitcoins".
But these factors don't affect Bitcoin. We can't compare BTC with shitcoins, because Bitcoin was something original and it is still being used for the purpose intended by Satoshi. Bitcoin may be replaced by some better alternative in the distant future, but we still have a few decades time before that happens. For the shitcoins, this argument doesn't hold true. There are better alternatives available against them already.
