Holding Altcoins can get you Rekt

i have said this almost all the time. it is useless holding any coin. the best option is to convert to btc or eth or any top altcoin with better trading volume and capitalization. i learnt my lesson from serve project. this project lasted for nine month and just disappeared from the scene.  i lost 90usd from that project. quite disappointed. i vow never to hold back any ne project. it is worthless.

if you mean shitcoin is a new coin or token that recently joined cryptocurrency, it does have a smaller chance than the potential altcoin that has been around for a long time on the market, especially those that rank in coinmarketcap. come on, we have to be realistic. even strong altcoins have difficulty developing their prices in this bad market, especially with new altcoins? except if the new token has an influence and very large market interest.

That's right, I'm regret because there are too many hold altcoins and many have died because they prove to be a scam, for the long term surely hold top 25 is the best choice.

Even holding the top 25 altcoins in the market is not a guaranteed investment. Most of the altcoins that are going into that ranking is based on hype and you should not follow the hype because most of the time, when the hype is over then the price of the altcoin will start to go down. It is better if you will invest some time to investigate and do some research to check if the altcoin is worth it to hold for long term investment.

I usually focus on the top 20 currencies in the market, which are good and reputable projects. The focus on large altcoin projects on the market helps me avoid risks and lose money.

Trading with emotion can be your one-way ticket to getting rekt. HODLing can sometimes be good but it's always a good idea to put a stop-loss and take-profit on investment.

Not all altcoin is shitcoin. So you need choose wisely to invest your money on it. Do with your own research. There are still many projects that are serious about building projects and dedicating themselves to achieving their goals. Abandoned projects are if the project does not develop at all. So all projects must be transparent about the progress they are working on to inform investors and their communities.

Now is 2019, altcoins now has a big difference compared to 2016 from that time up to now there are new potential coins that has been added in the market already. And I feel you also, but not all altcoins are shit, especially now if you are going to search it first will find out and discover if that coins is potential or not. Moreover, if you are going to hold a coin for a years I suggest you to hold Ethereum, Bitcoin, Xem, Eos, Waves. Never hold an altcoin that has no good volume and don't have any promising in the future.

I don't like the idea at all, holding altcoins will get you rekt if you pick some shitcoins but if you deeply research about the projects that have usecases that will benefit in the long run then I must say that it will not get you rekt. Imagine if you hold top altcoins when they are just starting up. Imagine you are holding ETH,EOS and NEO in they're early days, too much profit on your side.

Of course holding non sense coins/tokens will make you lose and get "rekt" sometimes. Just go to any cryptocurrency exchange and look at the amount of the shitcoins being traded there, peoples still believe in "Buy wait sell" way, it's old i think. That doesn't mean that it doesn't work ... it does work but you must be lucky and you must at least have some knowledge. Don't just buy 100 Btc and invest them in a coin that you felt like it will fly, lol, you'll get rekt. Instead, be wise and take a look on the graphs/roadmaps.

I still think that few altcoins are good for investing. The wrong insight of many altcoin investors is that the coin that they recently bought is going to the moon without thinking that the coin they've just invested isn't really good because they didn't research about it.

I agree! Most especially the shitcoins which can reduce your thousands of dollars to hundreds in minutes. More so, over 70 percent of top 100 coins on coinmarketcap have tanked from its ico price at the moment.  Now imagine of you are a holder which bought during ICO.
