Ukrainian government planned in February to RE-open probe into corrupt gas company that paid both Bidens

Long before President Donald Trump spoke to Ukrainian President Zelensky about Obama-era corruption, that government was planning to reopen an investigation into a corrupt gas company that once employed Joe Biden’s son Hunter as an “adviser” and paid the former vice president $900,000 through a straw firm.

“I can confirm to you tonight, the U.S. government had open source intelligence and was aware that as early as February in 2019 that the Ukrainian government was planning on reopening the Burisma investigation,” investigative reporter and Fox News contributor John Solomon told Sean Hannity Tuesday night.

“This was long before the president ever imagined to have a call with President Zelensky. In fact it’s before President Zelensky was even elected. This is a significant shift in the factual timeline. This is information that was omitted from the whistleblower’s complaint,” he added, referencing the deep state CIA official who claimed to have second-hand information that President Trump made threats against Ukraine and solicited ‘dirt’ on the Bidens during a call to Zelensky in July.

Neither of those claims is true according to a transcript of that phone call released last month by the White House.

Solomon noted that while the request to reopen the probe was made in February, it wasn’t until late March when the Ukrainian prosecutor general’s office agreed to it.

There's obviously something missing here.

Feb 2019: Ukraine General Prosecutor re-opens Burisma investigation (or plans on re-opening)
April 21 2019: Ukraine Presidential Election
May 20 2019: New President takes office
July 15 2019: Trump stops ~$400m of aid to Ukraine
July 25 2019: Trump/Ukraine phone call
August 29 2019: New General Prosecutor for Ukraine takes office (replacing the guy that re-opened in Feb)

Couple possible explanations:

Trump didn't know that the investigation had already been opened (seems unlikely).

The investigation was closed before July 15, and now that there was a new President (and soon to be new Prosecutor) Trump figured he could get them to open the investigation for the third time.



If this were something that made Trump look good, and Trump knew about it, he'd be screaming it from the hilltops weeks ago.  Now that it's been on fox news though, I bet he starts.

The big picture you on the left are missing here is that this phone call was primarily designed as a trap, as made evident by his mentioning of Crowdstrike during the call. He is a brilliant tactician who understands the Democrat dynamic of accusing their opponents of the crimes they themselves are guilty of, and they would not be able to resist trying to cast this as foreign election interference. The Democrat party and the media took the bait hook, line, and sinker, and he used them all to blow the Biden corruption wide open. In court, their attorneys will carefully require that someone who was damaged by them, get on the stand and testify to the damage... with proof. If anyone DOES show proof that they were damaged by Biden or Hillary, all they need do is reimburse them... and assassinate them later.
