Hi, recently I went to a website https://www.crypto-way .ltd (I add a space in ltd so that you won't click on this accidentally.  It offers 2X of the amount of money you send in.   I find it too suspicious and did a check on the domain name.  It was only registered a few days ago.   The British company they are suppose to be does not exist and they are hosting in a russian hosting company, making it impossible for me to contact them to feedback to them.  If anyone can speak Russian and do the feedback, that would be great as it keeps another scum away from our Bitcoin environment.

This is a doubler program which became popular in 2017 and yes this is just another  cheap scam appealing to the greed nature of anyone especially those who are just new in the world of cryptocurrency. Scammers are always creative but many times they just recycled programs and maybe just use another name for it to make it appear new when in fact they are not. I always feel pity with the newbies who can fall victims for this scheme.

Those giveaways need us to deposit some amount, right? If yes, then that will be the same as what I got in the past. I got those experience in 2014-2015, and I never forget that site was tricked me, and I think many people have been tricked too. For now, I always try to be careful and not easily attract to the bitcoin giveaways website because I know that will not be impossible. There is no free lunch for every people, and we need to work to get the money. And if you find a similar website, you can skip the site and never come to the site again. Be careful when you browse because you never thought about what will happen to you later.

It offers 2X of the amount of money you send in.

giveaway is when you don't do anything but receive something for free as some sort of "gift". when you have to pay, then it is no longer a giveaway, it is more like an investment and in this case since there is no company or product or anything it is a Ponzi scheme. you didn't really have to check the domain, etc to figure it out either, it is just that obvious.

Thanks for the information OP,  I'm aware of someone(personally/real life) who fell for this sort of scam recently, this individual is not really into the bitcoin network, but came across this sort of interesting offer online and decided to make some money, but did the exact opposite, I actually got to know after he had already been duped.

He was greedy, and that's the first desire to avoid if one is to avoid falling for scams, be it related to cryptocurrency or other areas of life. We should also be knowledgeable on the system, there is no way your bitcoin can double that way, if it did, why would people hodl for years just to make profits, they should have simply sent it to doublers and made twice their money. A knowledgeable person cannot believe such nonsense.

It's such an old story and I can't beleive there are still people who fall for this, it's obviously a scam.
There is no such thing as giveaway but I guess that people's greed will always be stringer than common sense. There is no such thing as free lunch, don't forget that.

At the initial stage of introduction of BTC to the world, it was completely unfamiliar and unbelievable thing which can be hold and transact electronically only. So many users got trapped by false advertising and marketing. Giveaways are one of them.

Many tech guys with tricky knowledge can grab confidential data from the user to get access to digital assets of users, and due to anonymity and lack of trackability people lost their hard-earned money.

So my opinion is kindly safe while entering in such airdrops and giveaways.

For example, Many individuals try to grab private keys by offering giveaways for stacked balance. In such scenarios, users are asked to submit their wallet details and authorize them to get rewards against hold balance. And in many cases due to greed, people get trapped.

Ponzi schemes like this, also known in that area as things like HYIP. i.e. the old "talkgold" forum (which closed down a couple years back), had been operating running these types of scams since way back in like 2004 or so. The only people that ever made money from them were those that got in and out right when they opened. Some actually would last for months but in the end, they would all collapse, reinvent themselves with a new name and site, and run the scam over and over again. I see those sorts of programs are still all over the place and have shifted to include crypto.

Speaking of scams and bitcoin giveaways, I recently stumbled this post in the Beginners & Help

{Warning}: Fake Bakkt Giveway website

The length those criminals will do just to victimised unsuspecting people in the crypto verse. Just imagine couple of days from bakkt launch, those scammers are impersonating and trying to lure everyone in their game.

That's why each and everyone of us should stay away from this so called giveaways because 90% of them are really scam.

True, but people don't understand it. Lack of awareness or knowledge leads people to bad decisions and poor choices, simply because everyone is desperate for money, and nobody knows what they are doing. I mean, if the Nigerian prince scam continues to work to this day, why wouldn't new, uneducated crypto users fall for a scam involving coins?

I never knew about this website and I tried to learn it. They offer good payouts, but I still don't believe it.

After I read this topic will certainly be more cautious. Many people have used signatures and are trying to promote them.

Maybe this is a scam and I'm actually already interested to try. But with this topic, I personally do not believe and if one day it is evident that many people can produce Bitcoin. Maybe I'll try it.

Greed makes one fall for such offers. I am admin of a telegram channel and I have seen people reporting that some spammer contacted with the admins fake profile and asked for funds. Spammers keep finding new ways for their earnings.

My advise is if you are getting funds without investing then share address and try for it(but, do not share personal details or private key). When you are asked to send funds or are asked to stake something before getting do not trust that. It is better to loss an opportunity than to loss your funds.

Several years ago it was so popular that there was plenty of sites offering can doubled people funds within 24 hours and most of them are scam because when people make a decission to deposit then they were lied and people lost their money and i thought these kind of sites were disappears but a little surprised they still exist until now however basically this is not giveaway because if those are giveaways and people should get the money for free without making a deposit

These kind of schemes are widespread for years now. We called these type of things as HYIP, or high yield inviestment program but later on these projects can no longer suffice to pay their clients and will run your money. Majority of HYIP's are scams and some even are offering double your money in one hour, its like a race, first come first serve and the last group to enter will be the victims while the first batch will be used to entice more victims to join.

In the bitcoin industry many scam projects have sprouted and thus there are also many websites that monitors and checks if those sites are scams or to good to be true.

Bitcoin doubler. They're not the first. Previously, there have been many people cheating people similar way. Don't linger around here for anything. Nobody gives Bitcoin to anyone for free.

It was a known scam scheme, these new websites should be avoided by every newbie that isn't aware of this scam. Don't believe if someone tells you that by simply sending a specific amount to their address will give you a return of doubling your money.

The website is also new so aside from that scam scheme, the creation date is suspicious.

It's just registered for a year so it's obviously they are going to use it for scamming newbies who are unaware of this scam.

it can be called a HYIP (high yield investment program) or Ponzi scheme. where the money distributed to investors is the result of other investors' deposits ... and if no more investors send money, then they can take your money with you

It's such an old story and I can't beleive there are still people who fall for this, it's obviously a scam.
There is no such thing as giveaway but I guess that people's greed will always be stringer than common sense. There is no such thing as free lunch, don't forget that.

That's the dumbest scheme ever, some people treat these as gambling games but should definitely never do that. It's just a group of people stealing money and that's it. I don't understand how people could fall for it.

people who fall on this scamming tactic are only those that are ignorant fools who dont know any better! thinking about getting more money? but wait theres more... cmmon guys, this is an old rotten strategy already!
and yet these scammers can get their victims easily. or maybe we dont have to call them as victims, but plain dumb idiots who dont know the real world!
if somebody encounters that kind of too-good-to-be-true offer, ignore and dont look back! you cant be rich that quick as what you dream of!
