Hello Yahoo,
I would like to give one suggestion, hope you would discuss it with YoBit management and implement if possible.
Currently posts for any account is counted and accounted for in YoBit panel in 3-4 hours. This opens the door for negative accounts and spammers to take advantage and withdraw payment for 10-15 posts before getting banned. Won't it be better if stats are updated after 24 hours (once a day would be good) so that you will have adequate time to ban anyone before he/she makes any withdrawal? This will help in longevity of campaign as well as reduce spam to certain degree.

I certainly can ask them if that's a feasible option but no guarantees on what they do. I know they're considering a merit requirement as well so that would help a ton

Whether it be in the same thread/post or multiple threads one after the other. There are a few rare users who can post one post after the other and it be constructive but in most cases that's not the case

That's not the only possibility

For example, you are being post limited, i.e. only a certain number of posts per day is counted (like 20 for the campaign in question) but you feel like you can post more for that day (and probably less for the next), so you compose your posts today for different threads and post them one after another tomorrow (so there's nothing even remotely resembling a world record in doing that)

And every post you thus submit contains a constructive reply or detailed explanation on some interesting and important topic (read, no shit posting). Indeed, you can stretch them out (what you should normally do), but would that count as burst posting if you don't? Just curious (don't shoot the messenger)

Long story short: In my opinion, many posts within a few minutes dont necessarily have to be SPAM. What am I missing here?
My opinion about this (if that matters): making a few posts in a short amount of time isn't hard. But in most cases, all the user is doing is coming to the forum to post 5~20 times in a short amount of time and leaving. Basically looking around in megathreads or generic posts for opportunities to post more generic stuff, which doesn't add anything to the conversation, so he can pretend he is having a real discussion while he is not. This with a lot of rapid posts is what helps destroy this forum.

Most of the times, he is just saying stuff that already have been said or which simply are garbage/useless. These "bitcoin is the future?" type of threads where people come and post 2-4 lines of "for me among the rest of cryptocurrency bitcoin has the most bright future" or similar in the 6th page of the thread (real example I just found after 1 minute in the Bitcoin Discussion board, from a user using a Cryptotalk signature). All this post did was count a +1 in Yobit's campaign count bot and waste my bandwidth. No one is actually going to read that.

It's not only the time between each post (at least for me). People act like all that matters is that they are posting, answering a generic question and that there is a X interval between every post. But it obviously isn't as simple as that. "Ok, my last post was 20 minutes ago. Now I'm free to go to Bitcoin Dicussion/Altcoin Discussion to post another generic answer".

That's why it is always pretty obvious that he/she is only making many posts in a row because he gets paid for that. I'm not sure if that's the case for the above user (he seems to be way above the average spammer, but I don't speak deustch), but for most people, that's what happens. If people stopped putting the signature and the pay-per-post above their real posting habits, nothing of that would ever happen. But sometimes you don't have anything to say but still want the extra $, while also being too lazy to think. Sorry for the rant.

I know that you're one of the cool guys here, i must say it.. You're one of the guys that i like here. The issue is that you're on Shipmixer's campaign, you're getting paid really well for the posts you're doing which is really normal. Now, what about the usual members here? They can't join you because of many criterias that we could not afford. The first thing is the merits which are not yet being spread equally between the members that they really deserve them. I'm one of the victims of the burst posting, i must commit that i did it because of the $, yep. We love crypto and we want to earn and that's extremely normal when talking about humain beings. The only issue here that i'm and also other members are facing is the reputation, our unique reputation. For example, Mr suchmoon came to my postings history and he did see me burst posting in the past and he tagged me and he said that i'm " a shitposter selling out the forum for few pennies". Well, Mr suchmoon, i'm not rich and i'm not getting hired or joining big campaigns here, these rewarding campaigns are limited to the highly trusted members of the community and you're amoung the list. It's normal that Mr suchmoon says that i'm a shitposter and that i'm selling the forum, he even wouldn't understand that i'm doing so much efforts here to help newbies/friends learn more about crypto. He judged me wrong in the first case and now, i did the same thing again and burst posted again. My reputation is now fucked up, i know. But, I would also like to refer to suchmoon that i did these wrong things to maintain a small source of revenue, it's wrong to destory the forum's servers by doing such activity but i'm really in pain right now because of the neutral tag. I understood the lesson, you won't see me doing the same acts but, really, the highly trusted members here are so strict. Even that i'm a senior, i'm still learning. I would like to say that i'm sorry, i understood what i did but i would like to request Mr yahoo, if possible, to not list my name in the list of the prohibited members from the signatures moderated by him. I'll try to enhance my postings quality and i'll refrain from the childish behaviour. No offense to you guys, i must admit that i trust each one of you and that i'm following each one of them since months. It makes me feel painful when they think that i'm a "suck for crack bitch" or a "shitposter".
All my apologies again to each member in this great forum and to Mr Yahoo, Mr suchmoon. I'll enhance my account, promise.
First of all suchmoon is a "she" and I doubt she cares to read this post and comment. Secondly, merits merits merits. The only good thing about merits is ranking up or at least that's what most people care about them for. Someone could have all my merits and I could care less. If you were making semi decent posts then you would be getting merited more than you have so far. You need to visit other sections than the discussion sections.

Now let's talk about money. Not 1 person said it's not ok to earn a dollar here. You think I manage campaigns free? I have not participated in a sig campaign for years until last month and that was only because I was offered a better rate then most campaigns out there. Earning money is not what the deal is here at all. It's how you earn money! You have fucked up twice now, and you want suchmoon and myself to believe that the almighty dollar won't make you fuck up again?

I know making money is important to over half the users here. I know the world is not fair man. Some places sig campaign money is better than jobs pay per month. If you came in here and actually gave a damn, you wouldn't be feeling how you feel though. This campaign popped up and you thought you'd just spam your way to hundreds of dollars. Find topics that actually interest you. Reply with answers that actually make sense. DON'T FUCKING BURSTPOST. It's pretty simple. Some days you might post 3 times, others you might post 15 times.
I expressed that i am sorry for the wild acts that i did, i didn't want to showoff like that spammer. That is not going to happen again, i'm not asking for anything but just that you understand my point. The almighty dollar will never make me greedy again, promise. It's good to hear you yell and use Caps lock, i'm learning the lesson Mr Yahoo. Thanks for the replies, keep doing well. Hats off.

If merits were involved it would certainly help the issue but maybe they want the signature promoted regardless.

Maybe they should have thought it through contemplating all eventualities including abuse of the system by flooding/spamming before they launched the campaign so they would not have to face it at a later stage. As much as their budget might be it stands to reason they would probably not want to pay spammers making useless for-the-sake-of-getting-paid useles posts.

I just want to say if merit system is introduced and participants are required to have certain amount before qualifying, this will prevent many good members not to participate and ofcourse the campaign will be in the hands of the privilege few whom from my observation are already in all other paid btc campaigns,

I guess the idea of yobit making this campaign open was to have as much participants as possible spreading the advert of cryptotalk all around the forum, and I don't see why posting in some thread (generic thread according to some members) should be judged, this forum is called bitcointalk which means those thread will be the most visited thread by many,

Well this is just personal opinion and observation, Mr Yahoo you have been doing a great job so far and I trust you will continue doing so, but I hope you can consider some certain things in the process of trying to weed out spammers.

If your posts are good (hence, you're a 'good member'), then merit should not be your problem. I'm pretty sure 5 or 10 merits is enough to filter out most spammers — no need to make it 100 unless you want a high-quality poster.

I guess the idea of yobit making this campaign open was to have as much participants as possible spreading the advert of cryptotalk all around the forum, and I don't see why posting in some thread (generic thread according to some members) should be judged, this forum is called bitcointalk which means those thread will be the most visited thread by many,

If you post in threads or boards that are spammed, then nobody would visit that board except spammers. I'm pretty sure even Yobit doesn't want to advertise their website to a spammer.

Maybe they should have thought it through contemplating all eventualities including abuse of the system by flooding/spamming before they launched the campaign so they would not have to face it at a later stage.

Yobit has a long history with spam, pretty sure they wouldn't hire yahoo in the first place if they can spam here without any problem.

First of all I am not alt of that account, this is my only account here in the forum so please stop connecting me to that account thank you.
I hope this will be fixed because I am not connected to that account.

I've tagged your and Lalafell profiles for a bounty abuse. And I believe that both of your accounts could be banned for a ban evasion also, after additional checking by admins (p. 25 of the forum rules).

The reasons why I think you are alts: the close dates of registrations, you're enrolling into the same bounty campaigns one after another, you have the same tokens transactions and the similar posting habits.

I expressed that i am sorry for the wild acts that i did, i didn't want to showoff like that spammer. I am not sure what lesson have you learnt ?
You were posting at a average of 20 Posts per day from Sep 27 - Sep 30 before you were removed from campaign. You were active and posting superb.  Smiley
Then after you been removed , your posting average went to 2 posts per day , why ? What happened ?  Now you do not have to say all those things which  you said while having the signature  Huh

There is no rule in the forum which says that you cannot post when you are not in campaign.   Cheesy

Cryptotalk Signature campaign participant Babylon - account has been sold or hacked.

Babylon's comments before 2016 are proving that the original owner of the profile is from the United States:

looking to sell 75 bitcoins for $1000, you cover the western union fees to get the money to me.  I'll also happily take cash if you are close enough to me to make that happen.  I am in Eastern Ohio.
(Archive)

I have 19 years experience reading professionally.  I can read for you over the phone, via e-mail, via a chat program such as yahoo or MSN, via a voicechat program like skype, or face to face if you are in my area (SE Ohio)

For long distance readings I charge .05 BTC per card for text or per minute for voice.  This is subject to change as bitcoin values fluctuate but that's the price for the moment.
(Archive)

In the post history of the account Babylon was a 3-years break. And the following comments are showing that this profile passed into the hands of some Filipino man:

Matagal bago mo mabawi yung capital mo.
(Archive)
I don't know what is your problem with sold account but base from the rules of our forum, account sales are 'allowed'. So what is the big deal if the original owner of this account is from the US and now it is passed to another owner? As long as there is a clean transaction, no scam, then there is no way for you to just put a red tag in an account just because it is 'sold or transferred to another owner.' Get over yourself.

Link of rules: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.820#post_rules

NOTE: This is meant to serve as a reference/educational/informational thread, NOT a rock solid list of rules.

18. Having multiple accounts and account sales are allowed, but account sales are discouraged.

This has been explained a thousant times but here it is again for you:

- Red tag doesn't mean you did something that is not allowed. In fact even scamming people is technically not forbidden on this forum.
- Red tag means the person who tagged you doesn't trust you. While there are tagging guidelines, this is usually subjective. And a rule of thumb is that account buyers are not to be trusted.

In that case the red tag simply points the attention to the fact that people trusting the original owner shouldn't trust you.

If you want to go further maybe you can explain why you needed to buy an account anyway Smiley

In the post history of the account Babylon was a 3-years break. And the following comments are showing that this profile passed into the hands of some Filipino man

This makes it look like the account was hacked and then sold.

As long as there is a clean transaction, no scam, then there is no way for you to just put a red tag in an account just because it is 'sold or transferred to another owner.' Get over yourself.

How can we know the transaction was clean and you are not the hacker? Who did you buy it from?

Don't you think that buying an account from hackers who are profiting from stealing the property of others isn't very ethical? A person with no ethics should not be trusted.

It's you who should get over this little red tag and move on.

Hello @Veleor I'll advice you open a dedicated thread just for the purpose of what you're currently doing, that way your work can be more visible, probably get the recognition it deserve and also it would be a lot easier for other DT member to follow up your work. Or probably you can move it to Known Alts of any-one  thread regarding the alts related issue to prevent the thread from getting congested due to back and forth reply from the accusers.

Kudos though for your volunteering effort based on your current investigations.

...

I don’t see much need for this because I still would have to duplicate info in this thread so the manager remove violators from the Cryptotalk Signature campaign.
And I suppose that disputes which arising here are a part of the overall discussion. Also many DT members are reading this topic and they can timely express their opinion.
However if OP is against me posting here my findings, then I will publish them in another thread.

Explain briefly why do you think it was necessary to bought account? What was your purpose? Account sells is dislike by most of DT community, there is no business with rules. Feel free to ask admin why you got tag for buy account.

However if OP is against me posting here my findings, then I will publish them in another thread.
Although OP would not against it but you were should post it separately and just post here username after tag. Because thread is going off topic slowly since accuser defending himself and other member starting arguemnt. So it was better to stay on topic. Report to moderators and they will split it, or edit reply and make a new thread.
Anyway I have tagged him as well since he is self admitted account buyer.

This thread will serve as a list for showing who has been banned and why they have been banned in the Cryptotalk.org campaign. I know everyone wants to see the majority banned but let's be fair here a little. If user's aren't breaking any forum rules, aren't burstposting to be paid, aren't spamming, aren't scamming then don't report them to me just because you don't want to see the sig all over the forum.

I want people reporting users to me, but just be fair in your reports please.

I have access to ban users from the campaign but my ban powers do not make the person remove the signature. Users banned from the campaign will see they're not being credited and get the hint, otherwise point them here if they start making threads on the issue. They will see the reason they're banned.

Surprising to see this.

For a user claiming to be the owner/operator of an exchange, why on earth would anybody in that position sign up to the cryptotalk signature campaign instead of spreading the word for their own exchange? I always thought there was something not right about that exchange.

It is important for users to know who to take to court and who to serve litigation documents if/when any scamming takes place so until they add contact and ownership details on their website, I would advise all to stay well away from this exchange and all others like it that hide behind anonymity and secrecy themselves but can ask users for KYC under the guise of AML laws when they like.

I find it interesting that he uses the design from the previous Yobit signature campaign, just change a few words and links to this new unnamed exchange.
