4 Letters.... SCAM!!!!!

A 4 letter word but for me, that changed the trend of ICO's. In 2017, there are many ICO's who became successful and there not that much scam at that time. In 2018, the number of scam ICO's increases and because of these investors are now afraid to invest in the ICO's. This is because they don't want to throw their money into a project that will become a scam project in the future.

This is why it instead of investing in ICO's, it is better right now to just buy it on an exchange if you believe that the project will be huge in the future.

A bear market is a problem just for new projects because, at the time when the market falls, investors do not invest in very risky assets.

The simple logic is the investors do not feel safe to invest money in the ICOs. The story in the year 2017 was quite different, the total crypto market was bullish type. So, regarding the fake ICOs there was more possibility of profit at that time. But now the market is bearish type, no good trend in the alt-coins and there is very less possibility profit in short term. So the investors are not that much interested.

Yes, everything has changed for the worse and it's not like the glory of the project in the previous year, but I know that the crypto room is free and can accommodate anyone who wants to take it and it's been there a long time ago ... so, if we experience bitterness with the current project is normal. because not all projects will be the same as before or better the next day. and that is what is called the crypto market and you must always be vigilant in everything you have done.

A bear market is a problem just for new projects because, at the time when the market falls, investors do not invest in very risky assets.

Market still red and no one investor want to invest with bitcoin or altcoin, too risk if ask investor to buy some altcoin because price still down. they like for waiting when bitcoin or altcoin back to higher price and start invest with bitcoin or altcoin. Until bitcoin and altcoin lower price many investor keep holding their money without make investment.

I do not think that we should blame the bearish market because whether the market is bear or bull, the investors always search for the legit project and when the project is legit they do not care about the bear or bull market they just invest their money for profit, and when the project seems scam to them nobody invest in that project even if the market is on peak.

Blaming the bearish market is a weak Alibi. Samsung, HTC, Facebook, kakao and so on are not investing in the industry because of the bears and bulls but rather they are looking at how the technology can help then enhance and improve their services. Quality projects that solve real worlds needs will always have investors. Did you see what Aergo and Chainlink are doing?

This is actually true, the scenario that we've seen before is like this. Most of the projects held bounty campaigns that has millions of budget to distribute to its participants, those people that helped them to market their project. And as soon as it reaches to the investors, they will eventually like it because many are advertising it but there's one big mistake that they didn't see it coming. It has been planned from the start when they've gained the trust of the people and making them believe that the project is on progress, they will leave eventually.

The image the cryptocurrency market portrays is not really friendly. I have read several derogatory and unpleasant remarks on the media over crypto and truly with the uncontrolled seasonal hacks and scams, the people who are not knowledgeable of the industry have a right to panic. Crypto stakeholders have alot of education to do rather than chasing profits on Binance and Okex

Yes, I agree with you it is better to eliminate the risk of the scammer. Many scammers is clever to make a real project, so investors are now afraid of such a thing.
Maybe the only way only IEO can replace the ICO for now. Minimum risk because it is managed by the top exchange like Binance.

I think for attracting investors we will have to make the market clear from all scamming projects the fear that people use to face will have to make them realize that it is their own thinking good and bad people lies around the world so we should have the ability to make research and find safe place for us than leaving an opportunity to invest in crypto.

so even dumber people are buying the coins x10 on an exchange after they've been sold in a private sale

The answer is pretty simple. Seeing how an investor loses his money, they stop investing further.
Take the IEO as an example. This method of fundraising is still popular, albeit not as much as before, but investors are more willing to carry money into such projects, even if the projects are not the best.
Only potential earnings can attract investors today.

You have good points because some investors are fed up with the repetition of ideas made by these new projects which lack innovation and uniqueness. The market is becoming cluttered with stale, lack of uniqueness, repetition of ideas of already existing projects. Scam projects are also major bane to the recent lack of interest shown by investors.

you're not right. I see many projects that start their own way with an ICO and then go to the IEO stage and then they manage to raise a lot of money. If you prefer a long-term investment, you can buy coins at the ICO stage.

that's the picture that happens to the ICO right now investors are reluctant to put their money because trust has been lost.

Making too many mistakes is not the issue here, the issue is if we didn't learn anything about it, maybe we fucked up those past ICOs that we've joined last year or last month, but it is because we've missed something, even a little mistake could be a huge one if will not noticed right away, we have to review our past to have a fresh start on investing or hunting bounties on ICOs or even IEO.

Its the same reason, scam. This is one of the main reasons why its hard to attract investors because it isn't a current thing. This has been there from time immemorial. Probably, these investors have been cheated in one or two.projects they participated and are now cautious of the upcoming projects.

There is no doubt that the market is now full of scams. Due to the fame and hype digital currencies have gained with time, scammers got a new way to fool innocent investors. This is the whole reason why I always suggest to stick with the old projects and coins. Moreover, what's the use of wasting time on new tokens and stuff when they do not have same potential as bitcoin and good altcoins.
