Greed is a basic human characteristic and there is nothing that you can do about it. Everyone in this world is greedy, although the "level" of greed can vary from person to person. Are you going to deny, if I claim that you first invested in Bitcoins because you are greedy? Or can you refute me, if I tell you that you joined this forum only because you were greedy? I would say that being greedy is not a very bad thing. In the modern world, if you have money, then you can purchase 99.99% of the things. While those reasons are true, i believe there are more important reasons as to why people get scammed:

1. Not doing the necessary research.
2. Not having a plan.
3. Investing more than one can afford to lose
