Scam Projects and Bounty . Way forward??

Its hard to dodge scam project sometimes its look very promising. That why im not take a lot of campaigns, for now im only doing signature campaign. Even if you already did mini research you still trapped into fraud projects.

Absolutely true, sometimes after doing research and decide to do the bounty when impressed, the team members might have a negative plan at the end. We just have to be very careful when selecting projects for bounty and also it's good to follow bounty managers with high reputation or projects with very good backings. Sometimes some projects you expect little from pays well at the end, and some with high esteem tend to keep hunters and investors "in the dark". However, in as much as scam projects keep launching, we still have genuine projects with great vision giving us hope and encouragement.

These scams would never stop so take the opportunity to advice yourself and also make decisions based on the experience you might have had with some of these. Do a better research about any project you campaign for to sieve out the scam projects from the good ones. There are always some good ones out here, you just have to look harder.

Deploying an erc-20 token is not hard, building a website has been made easy by the likes of WIX anyone can built a website, create their own token, scam others through IEO or ICO it's sad.

Some time have good project listing with big market like bittrex and binance but got scam by bounty campaign manager delay for distributing, I found with harmony bounty campaign where success listed with big exchange market but why bounty campaign manager delay for distributing, maybe he want take moment for selling bounty coin reward first and distributed after coin have lower price.

Not the bounty manager are holding for distributing a bounty reward Ill think the project team are one to distributed on it not the bounty manager. The bounty manager work are manage some bounty participant in the list until in the end it will send to project team. And thats true harmony have such good bounty Iv'e seen in this year and Ill think it is listed already in Binance. As I said bounty manager are only manage not for distributing a bounty rewards.

Yeah, you are right so far. As per recent hacking or scamming incident, the most scam is being operated by new project lunch through an Ico or Ieo on their own platform. You will invest on such project though they seem good for a future vision, but before their product going live, they will ran away for sure.
My suggestion is, Can we create a ico platform such as like FCA regulates the broker. If I wish to launch a project with new vision, I have to have an approval from an authority (newly organized).
I don’t know, it will be happening or not. But it might prevent more scam projects who have scam exits plan.

Exit scams are widely used by the crypto exchanges, as an example, I can show the IDAX CEO. He lost with the cold wallet of the exchange funds, it is unknown for the future of exchange. It doesn't even matter for the investors unless they make a loss in such events. The future perspective of the exchange is important and this idea can be applied to the IEO projects. These projects have a better ROI and more secure than ICOs.

In this market, it's hard to control the project you're doing.  Please carefully check the roadmap from time to time.  But perhaps following IEO campaigns will be much safer for you.

We just need to avoid projects with questionable parameters. Just look at Miracle Tele, it was been operated like a Ponzi scheme, some of us saw this ponzi nature but was blinded by passive returns until the day it all collapsed like the Roman empire. Most times, we are too sentimental to properly review projects.

One can not do anything once a project scam you. It depends on our intellectual to identify scam projects and bounty at the right time because we can not blame anyone in the end. fraud projects will always be there but if we can choose them then we can minimize to get caught up in fraud projects. and if you rely on the rules it will be difficult because so far the rules have not been made much and now we have to keep doing it ourselves, therefore our knowledge is needed to find the original project

It is possible that at this stage this is the right decision. Now it’s really not enough to choose a successful project. We also need the ICO team to fulfill its promise and pay us for our work. Under the same market conditions, we can either get just a few dollars, or even get nothing. If you participate in small efforts in many bounty campaigns, then the chances increase. The only problem is that there are very few good ICO projects.

Scam projects are the situation that we have to deal with as a bounty hunters it will not go away and will continue as long as there are people who fall in their trap.

Its hard to find a good project plus the situation of the market is not good for alts. Some bounty hunters that I know chose to become not active due to these reasons.

If you want to continue earning then help yourself to not be a victim of scammers because they will always be there even outside crypto.

So far this year , a lot of scams have occurred in the crypto sphere ranging from projects scamming investors and as well as projects not paying hunters for their works.

What do you think can be done to counter this ill manner behaviors that has been painting cryptocurency bad?

I also experienced that so for now I am too lazy to joined for some releases ICO project because even the manager was trusted, in the end the campaign if did not scam, the token has no value.

There are always two things go be worried about when promoting bounty projects, one is scam projects and the second is value of token after listing, there is no way to escape these two problems presently than just to keep on trying

i think the problem is not the forum but the investors it self. Many people just investing to a project without even checking the real background of the project before investing.
More people has been victimised not only becasue it is posted and promoted here but because they are careful enough .

The first thing is for investors or bounty hunters to have crypto knowledge. Without knowledge about how the crypto market works, the are prone to fall prey to scammers. Likewise, bounty managers can also play a significant role in discouraging or curbing scam projects. They know a bit more whether the project they are working for is legit or not.

It will be hard to combat these scammer in the crypto space. What we need it to educate the new players in the cryptocurrency. I think the community should bring more awareness in this issue to prevent newbie fall in the hand of scammers. It is very important for us to uplift this industry that continuously tainted by these scammers.
