For me, it is a good time to buy it because I can afford to hold it for a while and does not affect me that much if the price goes lower again. Surprising that even after a steep fall, other altcoins are doing decent, hence, I don't think its a market crash. Market is volatile and is in the hands of big investors or whom we call 'whales' and rightly stated, I believe this fall is due to a huge bitcoin dump in an attempt to manipulate the market.
I'd suggest the buyers to wait and see if the price falls further down, and purchase more once it hits 7000$, bitcoin will recover and I really wish this fall is temporary, which seems so looking at altcoin markets

I would say that it depends on what the goal is.... if you want to dollar cost average, then it's definitely a good time to buy because the same amount of fiat allows you to stock up on more Bitcoin than the day or week before.

It's also a good time to buy for people with a long term view where their focus is to sell at $20k or higher. It makes not much of a difference whether you buy today at $7.5k or potentially next week around $7k or $6k.

Another thing is that you don't know for sure if the price will fall down more. I'm inclined to think it will drop more, but markets can reverse at any time without notice, so better make sure you at least have some Bitcoin in your wallet.

This is so sad to see but we have no choice by now and wait for when this market will recover. If we will see $4000 until year end, that's a very interesting story to cover up and yet good chance for those people who has the will to invest for bitcoin while price dips at lower price. Bitcoin is causing major investors to lose confidence in this market because the downtrend is still taking place and in the near future it can return to $7000. You deserved merit for this awesome analysis. You spend some time in researching, its always a good thing, you spend some time writing this post, all in all its nice what you did here.
But I will be careful, in my time here I learned that price can change directions suddenly, without some reasonable explanation. Nothing is 100% sure in crypto, so people should take this as advice, not as something that will happen for sure.
I think we will be luck to see 10k again before the new years eve. Anyway price is doing just fine, this is good intro for upcoming halving. Some serious price rise we will see only after next spring, right before the halving. What you are suggesting with your post is shorting, sell now and buy again when price drops more. In the past we have seen situation changing in hours. One huge buy order push the price and people start buying, but for many it will be too late, cause you wait too long for buying. With bitcoin trading you can have fun, you can try what ever you want, there are no restrictions, but price have its own way, and many times cause of waiting we lose a good opportunity for buying.
Shorting doesn't work all the time, you will see that. I think we are not going back to 5k again, in couple weeks we will see what will happen.
