The market is dull but most of us expected ETH to outperform like it did in first quarter of 2018 post bull run when every crypto coin were going down and even the value of bitcoin was dumped but ETH was steady for a while and not sure why ETH is under hibernation mode nowadays. What might be the reason we don't see much movement in the price of ETH? I know all the altcoins are down but ETH is not same as them but I am unable to figure out the reason why ETH is struck.

In the previous months, it really hasn't been good for any altcoins, ethereum, xrp, bnb, etc, etc. Even bitcoin hasn't been doing well and it feels like everything is on a downward trend recently.

We might be able to see Ethereum Version 2 make it's debut on the blockchain next year, it could be big, but it feels like the blockchain has been forgotten and neglected in the recent months and with the death of ICO's and crowdfunding, they've died as well.

As of today Eth declined again at 6% for 24 hour change, not declining much compare to other coins.

In my mind only have reason what make ETH dumped is people change into BTC and dump it. Can't do analysis because what i see sometimes ETH dump because follow bitcoin which get dumped or maybe when get a correction.

This is simply a part of the market's nature. No matter how stable a crypto is, given that its market value is determined by demand, and volume, it should not be surprising to know and see how ETH's market value is also affected by the negative market behavior given that majority of the cryptos's prices are also falling at this moment. The best thing is to be patient at times like this and to wait for the market to recover someday.

I am still hoping for Eth to bounce its price since we're really experiencing this dip for longer now. Since price has been low it is good also for some to accumulate some eth. Hopefully when Eth 2.0 will launch recovery and changes in price will happen.

the only reason why ETH is down is because BTC is also down, I think not only ETH but other alt who are at the top are also the same as eth, they are following the BTC trend.
yesterday the market experienced a pretty deep decline, btc fell more than 8% and the average alt followed it, some even fell deeper than eth, maybe above 12%.
so I think ETH has shown its best by only dropping 9%.

Ethereum is not moving because their platform is quietly used as usual. Once the platform is often used to make the ERC token even though it is still but not like the former.
ETH's price fall is also triggered by the token maker scammer which makes their project bad and dead. I also hope that ETH again rise from his hibernation.

I will ask in a different way: why should Ethereum now in a falling market grow in value? There are no prerequisites for this:

ETH had remained stable last year, but subsequently it fall was not self appropriate. We all know that ETH is strong, but the supporters have already turned away, and so the price increase is not visible. Looks the market needs a new breath. The flow of money into the market is necessary, not the out. Why should the price be bad? The prices we see are the prices we decide together, or the majority thinks the opposite of what we think.

Many old cryptos that are still in the market right now are becoming less dynamic. The prices are having less fluctuations because of the problems that are caused by the bad reputation from scams. Many other coins have faded away in the market. So, let's be glad that this almost static state of the market, is the only impact it caused in the coins in the top ranks.

yes as you have explained in this period it can be said that ETH has no good or significant price changes upwards, maybe another reason is because many fraud projects misuse the erc20 platform into junk tokens, and maybe that also affects the ETH investment market.
