in my opinion altseason will arrive if bitcoin can touch the new ATH, before bitcoin touches the new ATH again don't expect altseasson to come.
I believe Altseason will come but don't know when it will happen, only time can answer that.

That's what everyone, not only traders, is hoping, not waiting, for. It is most unlikely that Bitcoin and altcoins will create their new ATH together. That is hardly happening although still possible. But that must need a very big amount of money flowing in. It is going to be billions that is needed. Possible yet difficult to happen. But if Bitcoin will reach its new ATH first and then the altcoins will follow, like alternatively, that is going to be a lot easier to happen. The money is just jumping from Bitcoin to altcoin and vice versa.

The thing is, in order to pick up some altcoin, you more than likely are going to need Bitcoin to do it. Sure, there's a few exchanges that have alt/USD markets, but almost everyone exchanges their Bitcoin for altcoins. This is why there's a correlation between these two. The last time we saw all time highs on everything, Bitcoin was also at it's all time high. There can be slight outliers in this from time to time, but generally altcoins grow when the crypto market cap as a whole grows.

i don't think there's any SPECIFIC indicator of altseason, but rather a set of them, signs its growing
Accumulation of small cap coins, big buy walls on liquidity movement coins like LTC, DOGE,REDD, dominance of BTC (fairly high right now)
And after that you just "feel it" in the market, and then BOOM it happens b4 you know it

I have heard this uncounted amount of times, science 2017. But the reality is that there would not be any altseason, if you look at BTC dominance. At the moment, when it falls below 50 percent, altcoins will begin to raise.

That is why the pattern is that Bitcoin will rise and hit its own ATH first before the altcoins do. The first coin majority of the investors buy when entering crypto is of course Bitcoin. So before the money will flow into altcoins, it has already passed through Bitcoin. And then it is also a fact that more often than not when Bitcoin is bullish, the altcoins will not be the same. But when Bitcoin has already hit its ATH, the correction follows, and a big part of the Bitcoin portfolio of the investors are going to be converted into altcoins.

I don't think that it is a given. There is still a lot of what-ifs to get a altcoin run started.

I do think that major coins like ETH, LTC and XRP will likely see steady and sustained growth once the BTC bull market picks up once again. The same can't be said for coins that have low market cap and liquidity within the market that previously thrived.

Make sure you're prudent in regards to what you invest in. Don't invest your money in projects that promise too much, or vaporware in general.

It does seem very likely that the altcoin season has started. Altcoins are holding their gains after the recent price pump even though the market has been trading sideways with a potentially bearish outlook in the short-term. I look forward to seeing more altcoin gains, we've waited long enough.

That pretty much sums it up. Nobody really has a clue what will happen. Except maybe some giant whales, but I doubt whales would bother posting in this forum.

BTC holders predict the death of most altcoins, altcoin holders predict an alt season, and everyone else just kind of shrugs, having no idea what will happen. The latter is the only really accurate thing, it's all guesswork.

If an altcoin season does eventually arrive, I have a feeling it won't be anything like 2017-18 -- more like altcoins improve, but we aren't talking about anything crazy like last time. It may also be more selective... well, it'll definitely be more selective than last time, when pretty much every coin went nuts.

Such headline will definitely attract altcoin bagholders but its over 2 weeks of publication and we seen a lot of ups and downs with very slight advantage. The thread is full of frustrations of holders and more from those that invested with over 90% dump and terrible negative ROI. We are all waiting and the terrible loss make investors a long time holders. the analysis is interesting but I dont usually see how the sentiment of the market attracts whales, investors and traders.

It is true that it is difficult to predict anything about the period in which the next bullrun will come, but that is why we cannot exclude the possibility that it will start this year, and with it the increase in prices of all altcoins.

Now that altcoins are at a very bad stage, any analysis or prediction is inaccurate so it is best to look carefully before investing because for me altcoin is now just a tool to make money in this market. In fact, this year more than 60% of altcoins have been forgotten in this market because no one mentions and almost those projects are no longer in operation.

I personally have not decided to invest in altcoin yet because I am not sure the future of this market. Maybe altcoin season will come soon according to everyone's predictions but I will still choose the safe solution is to wait.

You're right . Now that altcoins are at a very bad stage, any analysis or prediction is inaccurate so it is best to look carefully before investing because for me altcoin is now just a tool to make money in this market. After such a big drop in prices, for sure many of the altcoins will not be able to rise, but certainly many of them will recover the losses. I am sure that those projects that have not stoped to develop and developers are active, will soon get the chance to earn money for further development.
I am sure that this will happen soon, if not this year, then certainly at the beginning of next year.

Of course, all that we write here is just speculation and talking about our predictions.
It is true that there is still no super optimistic sentiment among investors, but I think we observe a calming down in the market, and that says that the next step should be price increases. In my opinion it is possible that the Alt season will start this year, but certainly not for all cryptocurrencies.
