When it comes to the aspect of having another life after we end this one, i'd love to believe that we go to somewhere where we can meet all our loved ones and live happily ever after. No it's not! That's based on a single utterly discredited experiment. Only one of his six subjects lost the weight, which can easily be explained by lungs ceasing to function and so ceasing to cool the blood, so body temperature rises, which can cause small weight loss through sweating. What about resuscitation? You can bring dead back to life if death occured within the last few minutes. Superstitious people say you have that much time before the soul leaves the body, but in reality the brain can live for a few minutes without oxygen and if that time passes there's permanent damage that will not be able to regenerate itself.

No-one knows what happens from a first-person perspective. But the science is quite clear. We all die and that is the end. The electrical signals in your brain stop, and that is when the mental 'you' ends. There are then just physical remains that gradually disappear. There is no more 'you', just as there was no 'you' for all the billions of years before your birth.

1. We die because of evolution. It's complex, but it's all about investment of finite energy. Your genes put some energy into keeping you alive, and some into the creation and survival of your potential descendants. If your genes put 100% effort into keeping you alive, you wouldn't have any children and so the genes would not survive. And even with 100% investment, you'd still succumb eventually to a random accident. It's statistically inevitable. Because humans suffer from trauma and disease, and human cells are imperfect at repairing/replacing themselves and so slowly acquire mutations which will eventually impair their functioning or kill them. This isn't some mystical concept like you seem to be making it out to be.

Obviously there's more to it, but it's easier on this forum to approach it piece by piece. Let's discuss mutations.

Mutations - negative in this context - can manifest at any time in your life.
Early-onset mutations (those that cover the period of your life when you are at breeding age) are selected out. If you carry a mutation that is going to kill you in your teenage years, you won't reproduce to pass the mutation on.
Late-onset mutations (those that occur after breeding age) - guess what? Exactly. They are not selected out. You've already passed on your genes, and any late-onset stuff is included with that.

But i can give you one example as there are three stages on people life.

1- He is in the mother Womb and that's a whole world where he breathes drink eat etc and one day find out that it was a small temporary place when he come to a bigger world on earth.

2- He thinks that he is living in this earth and this is all until he falls to death which is a transformation from this world to the next stage.

Well, our consciousness lives on. Consciousness can't really die, because for something to end, it has to have a start, our consciousness had no beginning. Our bodies had a beginning when we took birth, but our consciousness, self awareness is something more than just brain vibrations. Then it is separated from other bodies (the astral body and others, there are 7 of them, as far as I remember). In short, we are returning to our incomprehensible beginning. No kidding, most esoteric teachings and religions come to the conclusion that when we die, we just get rid of our physical body. Then it is separated from other bodies (the astral body and others, there are 7 of them, as far as I remember). In short, we are returning to our incomprehensible beginning. Then again, a particle from this common principle is introduced into a new body. But this is not always so, also the soul can go to higher levels of knowledge. Therefore, I think reincarnation is the most rational conclusion. The energy is infinite, the soul cannot just disappear (lose its potential).

Even stars appear to have limited lifespan, and (this) universe which appears to be in an expansion phase. But the time periods involved are so huge, its like asking an ant about human lifetime. It might just not be possible for a sentient race to ever answer this question during is blink of existence on a cosmic timescale. What IS this cosmos anyway? Where it came from, where it will go. Big bang what was it? How it came to exist? Its kinda known as the "singularity" that gave birth to (this) universe, but is that all there is? Where did these matter came from and how it got started? Some speculate it is an endless cycle of expansion contraction, but the only thing observable now is expansion that is accelerating.

Do not underestimate thinking either, its not a "complete waste of time". Ask you this question, how could Einstein possibly have found that time was relative? Its not like he had the super precise clocks of today, or spaceships to do measurements with (his theory were only confirmed after humans went into orbit: set two identical clocks observe them remain in sync for a year on Earth, then give one to an Astronaut for a mission weeks or months long; when he returns back his would appear to be late, or "slowed down").

You cannot perceive it, but even the time for someone in the street is a very tiny bit different to someone on the top of the Empire State, this is because things are moving relatively slower close to the ground.

It turned out "atoms" were not the smallest particle as originally predicted, actually we probably assigned the name too early, before discovering the "sub-atoms" that form them but there happens to be a smallest indivisible particle that only contains energy, a "mysterious" thing that keeps it in motion (and our bodies are built on those, go figure).

Where do the babies get their "programming" from? We know a couple exchanges genetic material, and some "traits" get inherited, but for the most part, this person's "soul" or whatever it is that makes someone do certain things and not certain others, come from.

Asexual reproduction actually doesn't even exchange genetic material, but it still forms a "being" that is not his source. A clone made of you, is NOT you, even it if looks identical to you, it is another being. Because of taboo this hasn't been observed much yet, but eventually it will. Corals do this in nature, by the way. They have the choice of asexual reproduction to growth its population, but its homogeneous offspring could all potentially be weak by single type of, so encountering another coral and exchanging genes is preferred "just in case" (to deliver its species from extinction).

Contrary to what some people believe, the spiritual and scientific paths are not necessarily antagonist, in some things they are, but in many others they share position. Again, someone like Einstein could easily been declared a prophet in the past (or a heretic and burned at the stake). You wouldn't believe how the ancient Romans viewed the universe. There is a book that survived the ages (and the church, etc) its about architecture. Try to read it, its incredible, like a time machine, a look 2000 years into the past, dedicated to Caesar Augustus no less. Some of the things are nonsense, some do make sense within their (limited) cosmic vision of things, and some are incredible approximation to what would only be discovered (or confirmed by science) thousands of years later. Aren't we limited to ours? Surely will be said, 2000 years from now, if humans still exist then.

Then the coins won't ever move anymore, and are "lost". Meaning, less coins available, slightly higher price of those that remain in circulation. Indeed many coins have been lost already, with forgotten passwords, lost private keys/seeds, etc.

If you want to pass it, you have to make sure the seed words are given to those in your will. Remember, private keys are not handled directly anymore, only seed words. These can be in a bank vault or some other secure place, always.

Nothing else but the seed words is required to give a wallet to another person, and they don't even need to know of its existence. You can even leave detailed instructions if you want.

For me, bothering about what will happen after death is a waste of time for two reasons:

1. There is nothing you can do about it and

2. You probably won't know whatever is going on.

Points 1 and 2 are both true. However, whilst belief in life-after-death has zero meaning for those who are already dead, it has a great deal of meaning for the living.

Yes, it can act as a powerful driver of behaviour, often in a detrimental way as in the example on a previous page about soldiers or (can't believe I'm agreeing with BADecker here) suicide bombers.

But it can also act as an important crutch to those who for whatever reason need that belief in an afterlife to help and support them in their actual here-and-now life. Death rituals such as funerals are vitally important to surviving friends and relatives as a means of formally acknowledging death and the transition to whatever is afterwards. It can help bereaved people to believe that their loved one has now departed their mortal body and is now a soul ascending to heaven, rather than just decomposing gradually in the dirt.

Personally I am an atheist and have zero belief in life after death. But I will accept that the belief itself can be a source of good.
