For small amounts, the naive investors look for the high gains and they don't want to make %20 in a year which is quite good for the average businesses. I suggest to check the low marketcap altcoins with the working product, the bull market will leave a nice ROI. Investing in the IEOs also carries risks but for new investors, it is too early joining the token sales, IMO.

If you are confused, just let it be BTC and ETH like that, many speculations predict that prices will rise after halving bitcoin next year. Another option is, of course, joining IEO on trusted exchanges such as Huobi and Binance. I would definitely stay away from the ICO and IEO scene right now as it is super risky and even good projects tend to dip under the initial price after the listing. Regarding the relatively small amount that you have in crypto, it depends on your ROI expectations, if you are satisfied with couple of X in the time span of a year or two, I would stick with safe investments like BTC and ETH, but if you want bigger returns and are prepared to take on more risk, go for some already established alts that will probably do 10x+ in the next alt cycle, like NEO, EOS, Ontology, ADA etc.

Most of the advice that you are giving is really good especially the part about staying away from icos and ieos, however while I agree that if you want to get more profits you will have to take more risks and invest in some altcoins that are good but that are undervalued, at the same time I really do not think that the risk that you are taking is worth the reward, after all some of the coins that you are giving as good examples of coins that could grew up in the future have crashed more than 90% and there is no guarantee that they will recover.

I have never tried IEO, while on ICO I had a bad experience so I wouldn't recommend both. might suggest buying Altcoin on a list of 50 CMC whose prices are still below 1 $, because that way you can take more profit than you buy Altcoin which costs more. because with a small capital it is more effective to buy Altcoin whose price is still cheap.

I will suggest you to invest on stable coins. But you did not mentioned how long you want to invest. Stable coins is a good choice to avoid losing your money and it doesnt take any risk.

better hold everything on ETH, and when it goes up again bitcoin sell it, then when it goes down against bitcoin buy it again
its not a big amount so better play the safe game , and maybe you will make x10 in 1-2 years like that

Safest way to go would simply be to invest more into BTC.

If we look at the current market conditions it is better to invest into bitcoin, but this does not mean that altcoin is not worth investing. If you can observe and look for opportunities you can take from him. But for me personally I will agree with what you say, that it is better to invest into bitcoin, maybe 80% of the amount of money you will invest you can use for bitcoin and 20% for other coins.

Why do you need to wait? If you can invest while doing your own research about investment. If you have invested today it might be a good opportunity for you because if ever the price increase at the end of December you already earn income and if you keep on waiting until the December end maybe you will regret once the price goes up. Try to invest little by little and then make sure you always do your own research while doing your investment.

I think the fact that it is a bitcoin and ethereum is already a good investment for you in my opinion,
