if we look at bitcoin cycle, bitcoin always reachs new ATH 1 year after halving
halving in 2012, new ATH in 2013. halving in 2016, new ATH in 2017. so, we can know what the next ATH will be reached

i'm still not sure if altcoins will die just because the value of bitcoin is too high, because after all there are many other benefits and advantages of altcoins which are basically far better than bitcoin. there are many factors that seem like your prediction will not happen, altcoins that will only die are shitcoins which in fact do not have the potential to grow in this industry

If bitcoin will rally $100k then we will see a lot of people who will adopt bitcoin, we could probably have a mass adoption and aside from that people who have been holding bitcoins who have been waiting for that time will be millionaires in no time, it’s like hitting the jackpot. However, $100k is still a long way to go, it may or may not happen but hopefully it will happen, fingers crossed.

Yes $100k is still long way to go but not impossible and obviously if bitcoin reaches this mark then HODLers will be the biggest winner and this will give more pump to altcoins and they will have the biggest pump ever just like every altcoins went crazy during last Bull run. Rally to 100k? It wont be an easy ride yet that would still take lots of bumpy ride yet there would be lots of sell off levels before reaching that point.
FOMO is into the highest level thinking off for btc price to go to that unrealistic 1M price per coin.  Alts would go the same way? I highly
believe this would be suit out for top alts but majority of them would slump yet people will surely switch purely in btc.

If bitcoin really reach 100k, maybe altcoins will be filtered more. So, like what you said about real product of altcoin will make them survived or at least still have value in market. But, 100k is very high for bitcoin price, maybe take longer time to reached. So, for now no need to worry when we want to invest in altcoins.

I do not think so. Compared to its initial price, BTC increased by almost %3.000.000 and I did not see it as an main payment method. I think these issues are not related to each other.

I have worst possibility if btc reach to $100k then possibly altcoins will be bleeding because most people sold their altcoin assets to buy bitcoin unlike altcoin pumped if we see bitcoin crazy to be pumped then automatically the volume support for bitcoin globally will increase 2x or 3x from the current volume and it makes some of altcoins turn to zero and never can recover again because people too concern trading on bitcoin

Agreed, not every altcoin grows against bitcoin. When there is such a massive growth automatically there will be few altcoins that go valueless. In reality the possibility of bitcoin to go as high as $100k is 50-50, because with the present userbase the network has reached a peak price of $20k. Regularly there is increasing adoption and usage similar to fiat which increases the probability of bitcoin reaching $100k in the future.

Not really. There are different possibilities. If the rally is purely out of investors buying a lot of Bitcoin, then there is an expected dumping in altcoins. But if the growth of Bitcoin to $100,000 is mainly due to crypto adoption all throughout the world, then there is a possibility that altcoins will go along with the rally. Crypto adoption will not only push Bitcoin but also the top altcoins. They are offering innovations in crypto that is not offered by Bitcoin. Take for example Ethereum.

To speculate, we should see on both side. Good and maybe worst situation. So people will more aware with it and be prepared. Kidding aside, I think it will affect much the prices of altcoin since alts are dependent on the price of BTC. It might be a maneuver for alts or a crash. We don't know what will exactly happens but I know that bitcoin will come up to the price like that soon.

why do people think that when bitcoin prices go up, then altcoin prices go down? in some cases it did, but despite the rise in the price of bitcoin dominant this year, it also affected several popular altcoins, such as ethereum which reached high prices, BNB, and other popular altcoins.
although people think that the price is not so high, but it's better. IMO, if the price of bitcoin reaches the price of $ 100k, then the price of popular altcoin will also increase.

In a way it is natural to think like this, there is only so much money in this market and if bitcoin is going up faster than almost all altcoins then it makes sense investors sell their altcoins to buy bitcoin and in consequence this will reduce the price of altcoins.

Altcoins may have grown in value this year against fiat but that growth was provoked by bitcoin and when compared to bitcoin most coins went down, so if bitcoin were to reach 100k many altcoins may go up in value but most likely they will not grow as fast as bitcoin.
