WHAT HAPPENS IF BTC TOUCHES 100K ?

Today I was thinking that if Bitcoin has another 2017, all alts will also go up. Maybe not the same as Bitcoin, but a good chunk. It gives me hope for the alts that I'm currently holding.

It depends entirely on what kind of altcoins you are holding, if you are holding some of the top altcoins in the market then you are right you are going to make money in the future but if you are holding altcoins that are not really that good and you have high hopes for them then I can say to you that most likely those coins are not going to go up in value.

The value of most of those coins is based on nothing but hype and hype is something reserved for the newest coins so by the time that the bull market appears if your coins are too old then no one is going to care about them.

You're right. The top alt coins is more of a sure bet. It's a risk and reward thing, lower marketcap coin have the potential of giving you a bigger return, but it's a much bigger risk. So it's best to stick with the top alt, but diversify a little with lower marketcap coins.

What path you decide to choose will depend on your particular goals for the market, since I am not looking to make 10x my investment or anything like that then I prefer to invest in the top coins in the market that have a lower ROI but that are a safer investment.

But if you are looking for big profits then you will have to invest in altcoins with very low market caps, just make sure to research the projects in which you are interested very well since the number of scams is too high to trust blindly in the developers of those projects.

It would be exactly the same 2017 wherein those users who have no idea about bitcoin invested it due to media frenzy and the way Bitcoin's bull run was showcased.  I think newbies will invest more without knowledge if bitcoin reaches that figure to further pump the value and they will be the one to do panic selling once the price falls thus creating the dump ad well. I feel traders will be in huge profits.

It will not be the same as in 2017, it will be even crazier because there are more people involved, and number is rising. Now we have many more interested parties, among governments and companies across the world, we can't say who will make the first significant move, but I expect many things to happen on that field in next couple years. We are talking about adoption when bitcoin was unknown to many, when price was a lot under 1000 dollars, and look where we are for 2 years, high above, and you know what we will go much higher, you will see.

In my own opinion, not only rich people who will benefit bitcoin if it reaches to $100 k because even people who only holds bitcoin in a small amount they would also benefit it that it could triple their profit or more, if that happens. I don't think bitcoin can't go to $50 k because there are still a lot of people who haven't buy bitcoin yet, that is why there are still chances that bitcoin increase it's price more.

In my own opinion, not only rich people who will benefit bitcoin if it reaches to $100 k because even people who only holds bitcoin in a small amount they would also benefit it that it could triple their profit or more, if that happens. I don't think bitcoin can't go to $50 k because there are still a lot of people who haven't buy bitcoin yet, that is why there are still chances that bitcoin increase it's price more.

if bitcoin reaches a price of that size, many people will benefit. the small amount of bitcoin will be increasingly valuable, and it will definitely benefit everyone who holds it. but we also have to speculate more logically because if it is not realistic then we will only continue to be driven by predictions.

The alt market has got a serious hit because of the BTC fluctuations. But is the accumulation starts with BTC then there will be traders and whales which will try to grab the opportunity and pump them with BTC. The last time rally was similar to that.

isn't it all of the pump that happened with bitcoin have a very strong correlation with the minting if new USDT? the whales are not buying a lot of bitcoin but USDT has already used to pump it.
It makes me confusing about the real story behind the pump of bitcoin but 100k looks a non sense rate to be discussed while the price is under 10k

That time along with Bitcoin all the cryptocurrencies including tokens will boom in the marketplace. We need to know the what are possibilities to see such value first.
But I Never see the such growth speculation with the valid information like adoption.

There is a strong relationship between Bitcoin and almost if not all altcoins and if you agree with me on that, then such a thing will not happen to altcoins if eventully Bitcoin market value increase to like $100k as you said in your submission above buddy. Another question that should come to mind is that will Bitcoin market value ever reach $100k in time to come? and if it will what then will be the driven factors?

One thing that most of us had learned the hard way is that there are not impossibles for bitcoin, it may not seem possible for bitcoin to reach 100k anytime soon but people thought the same about bitcoin reaching 20k and yet it happened.

And while I know that 100k is five times more difficult to reach since the market cap of bitcoin will need to become enormous for that to happen we cannot really discard the possibility, bitcoin reached 20k with just a few million of users if that number increased significantly for some reason then reaching 100k will become inevitable.

If everyone are selling then the price must be not become that high, that 100k will only achieve when bitcoin is already a human needed for any payments and the potential price would be higher everytime because the limited supply. But i'm not sure that will happen in a year. THat would be need more than 5 years and also if bitcoin still the best, because right now there are many big companies are developing it's own digital money or blockchain to surpass bitcoin

That would be the ultimate test to many of us Bitcoin hodlers. I myself would be dishonest if I will say that I will not be selling a good portion of my Bitcoin when the price will rise back up to $20,000. One reason is that I have gone through the 2017 and 2018 days when the price was reaching at a very high point followed by very long days of bear market. But I am sure I will not be converting everything in case it will rise more.

Im not sure about that when bitcoin still has a lot of potentials to grow even more than this time. Remember the sky is limit and there are not actual digits to determine what will be the maximum price for crypto as it's based on the demand and supply.
The price of bitcoin will not drop again as so many people will try to get bitcoin as much as they can. Those early holders and buyers of bitcoin were the luckiest people in the world as they have become millionaires instantly.

The latest chart has proven if the bulltrend for bitcoin affects the whole market. that's the fact.

in my opinion all altcoin will make ath new see bitcoin prices go up in 2017-2018 all altcoin make ath so if bitcoin prices go up to 100k all altcoin prices will go up high

The prices of altcoins are strongly linked to the price of Bitcoin and certainly many of them will reach the new ATH with such a large increase in the price of BTC. However, many altcoins are already on the bottom and will never rise. Investors in the cryptocurrency market are smarter now and don't buy coins that are worthless. Investors are looking for smaller but certain profits.

The OP means what happens to altcoins when BTC touches 100k, I believe BTC will get over 100k if it touches it and this will drive money bet by new investors, then it will draw back as usual. Then money goes to other coins that people think they can and afford or the coin they presume could profit as much as bitcoin in future, and whales will help with pump for few weeks before it crashes all over again. Experience will always help in the space so buy when others are selling and sell when others are buying.

I dont think altcoins will dump to zero if bitcoin hit 100k$. You should know that bitcoin marketcap will be a lots with that price and even take all money, we could not push to that price. The only way for bitcoin to touch that price is tons of money from government, big company or at least bitcoin become official accept all the world.
