My S17 is scheduled to ship in the next couple weeks, so I just sent in a request for refund via Support ticket since checking my account info isn't showing any coupons or credits or....  Should be close to $800 which isn't insignificant.
We'll see where this goes.  Fingers crossed!

They did not adjust the invoice for the second time (apart from what they did initially), price on invoice still $1133 plus shipping.

Round 1: I received the same response as many here from Chita stating that a USD credit will be waiting for me to use on my next order.  I politely said I'm not sure when I'll be purchasing another miner (probably sooner than later tho...  ) and requested BTC refund instead.

That sucks. On mine they updated the price. With coupon I used and price change, it was under de-minimis and I paid no duty or tariff.

From the s17 thread a new issue for buyers of the t17+  simply looks like it is shitty gear.

note the email is asking to: kill off my paypal order and reorder. I rejected their offer.

Yeah  they sent me an email  at 4am  I woke at 8 am and answered it which is 8pm friday on their time which means no action until monday.

I won"t do what they want.

If I accept the 58th T17+ unit at 1203 usd + 127 shipping for a cost of 1330
I had paid you 1355 and used a 375 coupon this comes to:

1730 old order
1330 new order
400 dollar balance on my account

I paid you in paypal not USD. I do not have the ability to pay you in USD. I do not have a bank that sends USD to China.
So I am not sure your idea works for me.

I really wish you had contacted me sooner than 4am Eastern standard time I am answering you at 8AM eastern standard time. Which is 8pm your time So most likely you won't get to this as your work day has ended.

So to confirm what you want to do is send me a 58th machine and give me a credit changing my payment to USD. The answer is no this not acceptable.

This is a paypal order a USD order does not offer me the protection of a paypal order. So I am not altering the deal. Since I lose my paypal rights if I do. I see it this way I paid you 1354.95 cash and used a 375 coupon that is 1729.95 usd. If you can not give me a t17+ with proper speed of 64th and want to send a 58th machine I would accept the machine and a 400 dollar refund to my paypal order.
This way the order stays as paypal which offers me six months protection. I also get a proper discount of 400 as a direct refund to my paypal order.

Your company is running a business my mining is served by your company. I have paid you well over 150,000 for gear since 2013. I also am an honest person and give your company fair reviews. So I ask you to simply refund this paypal order 400 usd and send the 58th machine.

Please get back to me and let me know if you can do this.

as big as they are - refunds/credits should be much easier accomplished. I am now at 22 days since they stated they would issue refund and I am still waiting.

I have one T17+ due for shipping 11-20 January. I damn hope I will not get this kind of email, especially since I can neither use PayPal nor USD wire... They would have to reimburse me in BTC and we all know by know how long that process is and what a hassle it is.

yeah it is a freaking mess.

At the moment

I have

1) the t17+ status in limbo as shown above.

2) the t17   status okay and a paypal order due dec 21-31

3) the heavy discount  s17 pro  due early Jan  paid in btc.

Just remember these are all stalling tactics  they use to hundreds of customers.  Stick to it over and over and over.

Well since they sent email at 4am EST time and I answered it 8am EST time

it means they sent it at 4pm on a friday in China got my reply at 8pm on a Friday in China

Sooooo that is a delay in reply until 4am  on monday in New Jersey  which is 4pm on monday in China.

They will hope I don't answer their replay and I will be delayed until  4am tuesday morning.

See where we are going.

The problem is  I have over 30,000 in paypal paid for gear  I have six months to pay  and their delay tactics won't really work well for them in my case.

Well I will have a dozen emails to go to fix this one. Wish me luck.

BTW  I will tell them to send me a s17 pro in January as you suggest.

purely anecdotally, S17, S17pro (even more so) and even T17 are locking up in colder temperatures, maybe a thing to consider if you are using ambient air and are in the Northern hemisphere. I am done ordering and unlikely to resume, unless they give me a huge discount.

what do you consider colder temperature? I have had ambient temps drop to 40F and had no issues with my T17s so far - knock on wood.

I am in a same boat as you. S17 Pro, S17e and T17e all working at around 5C which is around 40F.

I had 1 of 2 17e's drop out at -5c  maybe -8c     16f  is closer to -8c.  These units were in  the Howell solar array  which is an unheated barn loft.

Right now we are running 1 a1066, 1 t17e,  1 s17,  1 s17 pro  and we are warm enough that they run.

Back on topic no reply to my email  to Carol which makes sense as it is Sat 9 pm in China and they are not working.

It is 10:50 am in New Jersey. I figure it is 10:50 pm sunday night in China. I am following up on this issue.
I checked my order and it included a 375 coupon and I paid 1355 via paypal. This comes to 1730. I am looking at what you have available rather then the t17+ 58th you want me to buy. I see you have a s17 50th that ships quickly. Cost is 1253 + 129.32 to ship comes to 1382.32 I used a 125.30 coupon for this. The order came to 1257.02 since my order for the t17 + is to be cancelled and I am due a 1730 credit I ordered the s17 today

Order ID: 00120191215xxxxx in USD for $1257.02 So I would like my 1730 credit to go for this order.

Order would cost me $0 out of pocket. and I should end up with 1730 - 1257.02 = 472.98 credit balance left over.

So to repeat I do not want your offer of a lesser t17+ at 58th I want you to place a credit against my order number.

Order ID: 00120191215xxxxx for 1 s17.

So we will see what happens  I spent a 173 coupon a 10% which was 125  so the new order was 125 cheaper.

I would not mind the s17 at 50th  to replace the t17+ which should have been 64th.

It is sunday night 11pm in china  so maybe 12 hours for an answer.

The previous order was canceled and credited to my balance and bitmain immediately issued usd150 coupon for that. So $1203 - 150 = $1053 and payment was made with the credits that is in my account balance.

Latest reply came from Carol and she confirmed I will receive a refund of USD$808 in BTC within a month, and will be based on the exchange rate at the time of refund - likely waiting for BTC to have a bull run so less coinage for given $$ amount.
Either way at least it's coming.  Eventually.  Like any miner you buy from them...

Have not been replied to as of yet.  It is 230 am in China I will email them  in a bit  asking for what they will do.
