I was taking a look at those websites, specially coinbee which has the most options.

however, the conversion rate is terrible for BRL (Brazil currency). Uber gift cards are 38% more expensive than they should be. A 100 BRL card costs 138 BRL when converted from btc.

Bitrefill had a better rate, which costed "only" about 15% more.

Are you paying reasonable fees? Which website do you guys suggest for stuff like spotify??

That's probably a function of the country you live in as opposed to the individual sites themselves. On Bitrefill In the US for example, the mark up on gift cards is usually around 1-2%, and if you pay by Lightning for the 2% discount sometimes the card works out marginally cheaper than cost price. For example, a $500 Amazon card paid for via Lightning right now costs 5177711 sats, which works out at around $498.50. Having a quick look through the cards on offer in Brazil, as you say, the mark up is around 11%. I'm not aware of any gift card companies based in Brazil, but if you can find one they might offer better rates.

In terms of Spotify (I don't use it so don't know for sure) but does the gift card have to be region locked? You can't by a US gift card and use it on your account in Brazil?

I think it is better to sell in an exchange and use fiat than to pay 15_40% more or to use bitpay :/

Or, if you have a friend/relative with a U.S credit card/PayPal account, you could ask them to make an account for you, and it's possible to remove the linked payment method so there should be no trust issues.

The problem is that the gift cards only work in the region they are redeemed. As my spotify account is from Brazil, I cant use a US gift card.

Are you suggesting that I Make a new spotify account to use gift card from US? Not worth the effort... it is a cheap service and I can just  pay with fiat... or use bitpay..

Not really, many gift cards still work in every region of the world. Although they state that gift cards only work in some areas, in fact, if you try it still works in other areas. I can take Steam and Google Play for example. You can use it anywhere  For a few others, you can change the region to use. I don't see much difficulty in the problem you are describing. Anyway, it is your problem, OmegaStarScream is only showing you a way to do it.

Google Pay for example use this region lock functionality in the google accounts themselves. I see different apps in my Play Store than you, with different prices.

You can change the region of a google account a lose much more than what you would possible  save. I wouldn't be to install local apps, such as bike rentals, local stores that gives discounts, and so on. I have tried it already.

I don't want to delete my spotify account and create a new one to pay 3usd per month. Not worth the effort.
A netflix account from another region would change its language. I would have to watch movies without subtitles , permanently use a VPN...

You don't see difficult in the problem because you don't have it, probably because you live in a rich country which is much more free than Brazil.

The reason why region locks exists is that those gift cards are usually much more expensive here, due to taxes and fees.

I suggested asking a friend/relative as I don't think that making a new account yourself would help... Because apparently, it's possible to change your location to another country if you have a payment method from that same country and with such a restriction, I doubt they would just allow you to make a new account to redeem GCs without verifying your location by linking a credit card but yes, I agree, I don't think its worth it if you can easily change your BTC to fiat.

I bought Xbox GCs (EUR) from Bitrefill and gave them to friends who lives in North africa before, and they never had any issues redeeming them (Done that multiple times). All they needed to do was to change their region to 'France' using either the console or the app.

Wow, it really is a great solution to use these gift cards   I am considering to use it in the future  
But the way other game providers work, purchased games are only available on the accounts that bought it, we can't use them with other accounts. But in the link you provided, they said we can switch to the original account, how is it available? It was not checked?

Yeah. You can see their list of cards here: https://www.coinpayments.net/swych. So far it is US and UK only. For the US at least they have a decent list of cards available, but they are all the same ones that you can find on Bitrefill, eGifter, Coincards, etc.

However, to buy cards from them you need to have a KYC verified account. Given that all the cards (I think) they provide are purchasable from other providers without KYC, there is no real reason to use them unless you already have a KYC verified account on their platform for other reasons.

Since I don't have an account with them I can't see the prices they are charging, and therefore their markup.

I can confirm this. You can make a new USA account on the same device ( i have one).
Once your USA account has PSN Plus registered you can use PSN Plus benefits (such as online playing and free games) in your main account from other region as long as both accounts are logged in in the same device.

However, all free games will be linked to your USA account, not in your main account.

Ahaa, meaning they allow one person to own multiple accounts. And you can buy the game with a different account, as long as you install the game on the same device, you can use any other account to play. Interesting   A good opportunity to use their gift cards even in different areas   thank you!

Any information when those will be available again (especially IKEA, Saturn and Cyberport) @bitrefill?

From what I can see, it's not only Germany, but almost all european countries.  For nike (or clothing brands in general), take a look at ASOS, you can ship worldwide for cheap. The card on Bitrefill says UK, but it should work everywhere.

Also, Bitrefill reprensetative is not really active here on the forum, so I'd suggest reaching out to the support, you'll get a faster answer.
