I followed buwaytress when I saw he mentioned Bottas, so podium finish is not enough to make me happy. I guess I should be comforted by the fact that if I'd bet on Verstappen I'd have lost on Lap 1! Hope the guy is ok though, it's never nice to see anyone crash, and the footage I saw of British fans rejoicing when he crashed. Guess it's not just football that has those kind of fans huh:(

Took Hamilton winner, 0-4 seconds, Ferrari to have the most points and Norris to be ahead of the others listed.

I think you got 3/4 since Leclerc won in one of the groups that was mentioned. I only got 1/4 this round the only answer I got right was Leclerc I honestly thought the GP this weekend was going to be predictable just like the last one since Verstappen was able to take the pole position.

Checked late last night and only got 3/4 correct cause I couldn't remember who else was on that list of drivers to finish the highest.
Although Norris did well but Leclerc was in 1st place most of the time during the race except for the final 3 laps where Hamilton took over.
Couldn't believe he was down nearly 10 seconds behind him for the majority of the race. That one slip up where Leclerc went off the track cost him the race. I guess he got scared he was going to end up like Verstappen and decided to not get tagged by him so gave him a wide gate.

I got 2/4 in this last promo myself. But a new one is up now and it's the first Olympics special from Sportsbet, Japan versus South Africa.

Now on a regular match I would pick Japan but this is all U23 and I doubt if any of the Japanese stars are that young, minus the overage participants. So I went for S Africa, feel free to follow;)

Didn't go for the 25/1 Over 0.5 in each half. Feel like there will be at least one 0-0 HT draw but I did book myself in for the 4-leg favs AND for Ferencvaros and Dinamo Zagreb to get a lead before 20 min. Never won that particular special I believe, but hey;)

The Olympic events started last night even though the opening ceremonies to begin the games isn't until Friday (or late Thursday for north american time zones).

Teams are allowed to have three players over the age of 23 i believe, Dani Alves is playing for Bazil at 38. 

I don't think South Africa stand a chance here, their roster is mostly made up of players from their domestic league, with the exception of two from the Portuguese league, whereas Japan's roster is composed of some very good young players currently playing all over Europe. I'll list a few teams: Stuttgart, Antwerp, Zwolle, PSV, Fortuna Dusseldorf, Yoshida, and Tomiyaso from Serie A. If you straight up compare the South African league to Japan's J1 League, the J1 League is light years ahead.

I see a comfortable win for the hosts, bookmakers have a very similar take on the game, Japan @1.25 and S. Africa @12.00.

Even if a bookie had to offer 10 or more goals for the Dutch squad, the odds would not be as absurd as you may think. I'd say 8.00 to 10.00 tops, the Dutch are regarded as one of the strongest teams in this tournament, they are vice-champions from the last world cup (2019 France), the pre-match line was around 4.5 / 5.5, they beat a semi-decent team of Norway 7-0 in their last friendly lol, my point, there were many goals expected in this match.

Zambian team with almost no friendlies played in preparation for the Olympics, complete underdogs at +15000, with the exception of their captain, who was actually pretty great, the others are absolutely god awful, including their center backs and goalie, who were comical. Well then, please share some thoughts before the match. I love to read stuff like your last post but before the game when I can capitalize on it That over 3.5 looks like an absolute bargain and safe money then.

I am not following women's matches much and that goes especially for under 23 squads.

Shame the only team representing African women has been thrown to the mud with an awful scoreline in their opening match, how they got to this competition baffles me, when it comes to African Women football you mention Nigeria, Cameron, Ghana, South Africa before mentioning Zambia I'm embarrassed how they got beaten by this weak Dutch women team with such scoreline. They are up against Brazil next another goal galore incoming.

I just back up my team Romania to win and they did today against Honduras but, to be honest we did not deserve to win as the goal was an own goal. Anyway, Romania doesn't have a good squad at Tokyo because our clubs did not want to let the best players to join so I'm expecting only rough games for my team. I'm very disappointed with Spain performance I had so hope on them considering the players they brought, Pedric, Asencio and Callebo and yet couldn't get past the young pharaoh of Egypt. Seems like this lad Pedric is overrated he was just running around the field doing nothing, South Africa, Ivory Coast all disappointed Africa I'm so pained right not for my bet but for my continent, zero points so far how I wish Nigeria and Ghana went instead of South Africa and Ivory Coast.. I wanted to comment on this last week but totally forgot, I really think sometimes like the women's team in USA asking for higher salary than the men's is a bit out of context. I mean no disrespect to women's football but we all can see clearly the quality is so different.

And if you ever see US men play Gambia men it will never be like this.

So performance based pay, which is what women's team say makes them deserve to get paid more, is silly because you are a playground bully in most games.

I am all about equal rights but then let's make it actually equal. Football is maybe not so clear cut case but let's talk grand slam tennis. Men are playing best of 5 sets while women play best of 3 and then they ask for same rewards. Sure let's have same rewards but at least then you have to play best of 5 as well. Not even gonna mention how much more interesting ATP is from marketing point of view.
