Only for the outright promo (which required $100) as it made sense to take the team most likely to end up with the most wins. I did take Argentina for a smaller amount at 9/1 but it won't win me as much as Brazil outright actually -- although best outcome is Brazil Argentina final so that I get freechips and then winnings but then they have to meet in the semifinal if they progress anyway, so moneywise, need Brazil to go on and win, even if my heart is Argentina.

That's the only way I actually end this tournament with a breakeven or slight profit on my starting usdt bankroll. Argentina win still puts me below.

That's, of course, ignoring the btc bankroll I already almost am at zero across all my books, despite taking all the promos heh heh. Strange how international football doesn't entice me so much until it comes to World Cup.

The specials are different for some people, when I checked they had limited amount of countries to choose from just like today's:

From the specials you linked it showed more countries who were playing to choose from as I showed you from my link there were around four to five.
Still good odds to choose from compared to the usual markets even if they were boosted.

I went with an Argentina win of it all too but that is looking more and more unlikely compared to the Brazil team and the way they have playing.
They are on another level compared too all the other teams still in it.

The matches are starting at the later time in the day so don't need to wake up 6 hours earlier to watch them live, for now anyways.

Haven't hit a single special, all the way back to the qualification special (thanks to Belgium and Germany not making it out) so 0/4 is not pretty to look at from my performance.

Yes it was a tough day for specials I lost both bets so already my major win from Roulette is suffering, however, I did get some freespins from WC promo and it returned me a few more dollars so it's all good.

Goalkicks ended up being very far apart and VAR wasn't even called once in either match, too bad.

I would put small amounts on those special with higher odds though because its just fun when it actually happened but I wouldnt waste too much either on these specials unless the odds are much better than the original line. Messi / Gakpo to score on only 1.8 is definitely lame imo because I could have better odds on either of them to score on original line

Man today specials seems really good, but i have one problem, a little one, i want to make a multibet of specials, and that cant be.

Think I used to be able to do specials paired with regular markets, but I never tried more than 2 legs. Haven't been able to do that (otherwise would definitely go for some BTTS specials like today as they had really good boosts) but knowing myself, I'd have bumped up a big special with losing games.

WC definitely not good for me, but that's my fault for overcommitting too early in the group stages. Should have stuck with my underdog strategy on singles.

Not against Brasil later though heh.

All special odds are better than original line but in this WC edition I notice most choices don't have original line (e.g. hattrick or own goal but yuo have 2 games to choose from).

I was referring to value however, which doesn't have much to do with the size of the odds alone, but how it compares to actual odds. For example, when looking at the "small odds" specials, you can see one of it is "No" red card for 1.45, but in the regular market, this is only 1.40.

0.05x seems small but actually this is more than 10% increase on odds.

However, on "bigger odds" if let's say special is 8x or 9x I noticed in regular markets it's not a full 1x bigger... so let's say if regular is 7.5x and special is 8x, you only get a less than 8% increase on odds. Do I make sense?

Messi/Gakpo to score is not lame... you only need 1 of them to score. On original line, you have to split your wager on 2 selections and would have lost 1... ending in loss.

Don't be so concerned about losing when wagering on any World Cup matches, because we have all not done so well in these, as I lost over $2.5k just on the Argentina match they had starting out against Saudi Arabia. So atleast speaking for myself, I didn't give up and made it almost all that back in the following matches since that one was fairly early in the tournament.
It only comes around once every four years so there are no real statistics to put together because the teams are made of mostly different players everytime except for the staple players such as Messi, Neymar and Ronaldo.
You can only go by the countries records in the past but as this tournament has shown, those records are not boding well this year.
Most of the favorites are out and we have two new ones to take their places in the upcoming semis this week.

Keep the faith and just choose who you believe will win is all you can really do in this World Cup.
