Interesting thought, but I don't think that will happen in any universe of the multiverse we are living in, however I think if that happens, it will create third world war or even more. The people who has invested so much in crypto won't just sit idle if it vanishes leaving them with no funds lmao.

People lose money everyday. Money gets stolen and money gets gambled away, up to the last penny. The world doesn't stop. Besides, for whales and the vast majority of investors you mention cryptocurrency investments is not the last money anyway. What about retrieving the loss and data from the internet instead of moving on? yes maybe it could happen op when there is a big disaster that caused electricity and internet networks to die. then we won't be able to access our crypto. and I think when that happens we can't do anything. we can only wait until things get better. therefore always suggest to have other investments besides crypto. I suggest having gold so that if something bad happens to cryptocurrency we still have gold that we can count on.

Well, we all know it won't but the topic is not "how it can never vanish", we know that already so we should talk about (even tho impossible) possibility of what could happen if it vanishes. Well, many people know that there is a decent chunk of money involved with bitcoin and all crypto, however not everyone knows how much of it is regular Joes money and how much of it is very very wealthy companies.

We would see who invested and what type of consequences will happen, if it is regular Joes nobody will care but if big banks invested billions and lose there will be a lot of chaos going around trying to save those banks and hell even federal bank could print some money to save those banks (like 2008). We would also see plenty of companies that are crypto based all vanish and bankrupt as well, just binance going bankrupt overnight would create thousands of unemployment over night.

If this happen it may need a understandable reason why it needs to vanish or need a reason that people will hate it the most and need it to vanish. but in my opinion it will not or whales would not let this happen because in crypto there are people that focus to protect and in every seconds there is something happen everyone finds a way to recover it or let anyone know to recover it. so every single user won't let that happen to crypto.
