Even though what you're stating is impossible to happen, I think that would start a chaos and a great depression to many. Those that was built with the help of crypto would definitely collapse and the world economy will surely be affected too. Imagine investing your time and effort, even almost the half of your lifetime for it, then it suddenly vanishes, that would totally be destructive for sure. The whales will be the most affected ones considering the amount they are holding at the moment but still other investors would feel the effect too.

About your friends who borrow from the bank, maybe you should really warn them before it is too late. In case something like what OP said happen, not means banks will lose money they lend, because people will still must pay them and bank lends people with something as warranty.

Yeah banks would just pile up the interest in case you've been stupid enough to borrow money to put into crypto. And by the time you get a job or a means of income, that's when they run after you without remorse. In general, i think the number of people who'll be largely affected is pretty minor. Up until this point in time, majority still don't own crypto.

How would all of crypto just up and disappear.  Can another technology trump crypto, sure its plausible.  In that case as with any investment in older technology you would lose it.  But we are no where near the plateau phase of crypto let alone the sundown of it.  Insane amount of money is being throw at research into crypto by some of the largest corporations out there...its here to stay.

The total market capitalization of this market is very low, only hovering around 200 billion $. So if this market collapses and disappears then I think it will not affect the global economy as much as you think. And no one will commit suicide here because most people invest in this market with idle money. If the stock market collapses, I think everything will happen just like your imagination, but for the cryptocurrency market, never.

That's really sad to hear if that will happen and I don't want it to happen to all of us, but so far we don't have any reason at the moment for the crypto to vanish so there is nothing to worry about, let's calm our mind and stay focus on our goal especially to those are just newbies in crypto, keep learning and continue achieving your goals.

Vanishing of crypto currencies from the world is certainly a biggest nightmare for the crypto investors of all times. Nobody would even like to imagine it for a minute especially the ones who are the development teams of the projects. But if we talk about reality and consider real facts, bitcoin is never ever going to disappear and so will not other coins. These currencies still have to bloom at peak.

Those who are hating with fiat and banking system will back again. They don't have choice because cryptocurrency will be vanished if ever. And I think there is a new existing industry that will rise up when crypto declines. But in current condition, it is impossible to happen because the trend is in crypto even there are numerous scam but people wanted to support it.

If it does, then those money will be lost forever. Lucky to those exchanges which already cash amount a huge chunk of it.
