When is the perfect time to sell BTC?

Answers to this question would have some individual preferences based on several factors. for instance, the level at which you bought the bitcoin and your sell off targets that you have set. A piece of advice don't look at making insane profits in one single trade or investment, that will leave you rekt. Sell bitcoin when you have made at least 30% gain in profits. This is not a financial advice but my piece of mind which i know has saved many from huge losses.

For long-term hodling: Cost average works well the sell once you can get back capital (until you recoup your initial investment and start earning real profits, keep hodling).

This is the best option for lazy people like me and it is a risk free strategy.

To be honest, crypto is filled with many lazy people. Most people will not do their own research and would rather depend on investment advice. I mean how hard is it to really study these charts - at most, a crash course should take anywhere between 6 months to 1 year and you would begin trading like a pro - which is quite simple: Look for support, Resistance, set buy orders in small fractions, take profit when possible.

PS nothing about Crypto is risk-free - not even the safest strategies. There is just too much exposure to volatility.

Lol, whenever you feel you have made enough profits upon  your principal amount but i would advice that no matter what never sell all your BTC holding because you never know when the bull run of bitcoin will set in. So my plan is always to have $500 worth of BTC stored in my wallet, i don't mind losing this money hence i choose to keep it despite all the fluctuations. Please hold an amount you can afford to lose.

You know what is the hindrance of not selling at the right timing, it's what we called greediness.
So if you are greedy, you might miss the best opportunity to sell.

I suggest sticking to your preference. If you are satisfied with a 1% profit, then you'll have to sell it now. Don't push yourself to believe that everything will be fine here. But many investor always greed when they have get enough profit butt keep holding until bitcoin back to lower price, when we feel enough and reach with selling target I think will sell my bitcoin investing although have higher price later, keep safety my investment is most important although raised with my profit target and keep doing the same with altcoin investing.

I agree with this when you say the perfect time to sell at least you will know that your profit was there and then sell for it as you want. No one probably sells their bitcoin at a lowest price from the time they bought it. But if I were you, dont sell your bitcoin as long as you don't need, sounds like greed but let us talk about reality. Just wait until it will be doubled or triple the price.

I'm struggling with the same ... my brain says, initial investment plus 25% is already stretching it (since I started DCA'ing last summer, I am not at break even point yet), but of course there's the little voice that says "what if it would rise much more?".

Is selling in batches (e.g. 50% of the profit, each time you have earned 10%) a good advice? Or is that too conservative in the long term?

may i know when you buy it? if you buy 5years ago, you can sell it now, but if you buy after last halving, better you waiting the bitcoin halving this year, and sell it in december 2020. i think the price of bitcoin will be rising after haling event.

I will advice you with general things. If you are going to do short-term or mid-term trading, you may look at the technical analysis or the chart itself. You can do it like weekly chart or monthly chart to get a safe Investment as Bitcoin isn't always moving significantly at the moment. In other side, if you are going to do a long-term trading, you may look the 4 years chart as you may know one year after halving is always a good time to sell your Bitcoin or making money through ping-pong game. For now, I would recommend to do long-term trading and watch the price closely after the halving but it is all your decision. Last but not least, don't be greedy! Sometimes small profit is better than putting too much risk for doubtful big profit.

You can follow them as you want but you should also have your game plan and don't depend to them most of the time. If it's just for selling, it can be done at anytime as you wish but the timing and profitability depends on you.
