Youtube took a step back in this regard. He explained that a warning was given to the channels that made Bitcoin evaluation as a systemic error. However I do not think it was a mistake. I think they saw more reactions than they expected.

Let's be real here, they don't care about crypto enough to delete crypto creator videos on purpose. This was either the algorithm mistake as they said it was or it was the scammers massively reporting the big crypto youtubers to get them banned while on top of that creating their own scam streams to steal money from people.

Its hard to promote a decentralize video sharing platform and make it popular when all there is that we are do is go to youtube to watch whatever is there. Maybe if we could organize together that crypto community only shares the decentralized video platform link on social media, the platform could gain more users entirely not from crypto. Its possible and youtube knew it could happen which possibly the reason they apologized for purging crypto videos.

The problem is that the decentralised platforms won't work as youtube because there's no way to make profit out of them. Youtube literally works because of ads and the advertisers won't place their ads on decentralised platforms because of uncontrolled content. This is because advertising on dodgy videos could lead to damage to the brand name.

I beg to disagree on this. Youtube has been part of our lives now. Its our source of go to when we need something informative and tutorial videos and entertainments. Lately, I'm more like watching youtube than watching tv. Maybe its just about crypto and youtube that needs to talk about their issues.

Decentralized everything is the demand nowadays. That started with currency and is definitely perfect for social media and browser as well. But to be fair to what particularly happened involving Youtube, they have already admitted that an error occurred and that the videos blocked were not restored. They also issued apologies for what happened.

True that, it is really hard since people are accustomed to youtube for video streamings.  Promoting decentralized video sharing sites needs time, effort and reward system where content creator can cash out anytime.  Unless the decentralized  video sharing sites have fund to accommodate these needs of the content creators, they will find it hard to promote or other popular vloggers to use their platform.

Loosing on what? it's not that easy for Youtube to just go down, they are owned and operated by the number one company in the internet and there's no real competitor, so I don't know what they are losing, I read a report that it was a mistake, it should be on videos that invite people to invest, you are right that we need a video sharing site like Youtube, but so far no one comes close to compete.

Even though crypto channels are being vanished by youtube, it doesn't mean that Youtube will also be shutdown. It is also a very large site/platform, it is hard for Youtube to go down since many people around the world are still using Youtube in their daily entertainment.

Maybe twitch is not enough to dominate Youtube because it is just for streaming and youtube can also do that.

Twitch is just for gaming streaming and it is impossible for Youtube to be dominated by that kind of platform. But if Google does try to vanish Youtube maybe it is possible because Google is larger than Youtube.

Youtube is strong as an life time multimedia website and it will only shutdown soon maybe a lot of years. It is not that easy to compete with youtube although cryptocurrency is not that well-known currency in many country.

It didn't go too far only because they release their statement regarding the issue. They said that this action was done only in error. This kind of error might happen any time, but if what you said might happen someday and prohibits crypto-related topics, the market might decline.

Google has created such an electronic and internet ecosystem around our-self that it's difficult to avoid it completely. Many content creators too had some problems with Youtube but none of them were able to establish into any other system. Though the game streaming has many options to go with. I would say that it's not Youtube but it's Google as a whole which is targeting crypto related things on various platforms.
First it blocked all Crypto related videos on youtube and then it deleted ETH wallet and Metamask on playstore.
God knows what Google is planning on to do next.

Probably the reasons are those scammed ICO's project recently, there are a lot of videos that relate crypto's hype and obviously some of them are Ponzi scheme hype group that might harm people or those investors. If you notice, there are too many scam projects last year and probably google and youtube trying to protect people. This is all fault from those scams projects recently launched but end up of scam.

maybe the prohibition policy is on their side, and I think I should respect it. maybe not everything is erased but maybe that is abusing the rules. we can't do anything because it is YouTube's policy.

Surely bitcoin was already a big platform and I cant imagine that it is going to vanish or disappear easily in the internet.
Also I think Cryptocurrency YouTube Channels that are getting deleted or blocked in youtube are already a thing in the past weeks, we still don't know the complete reason why youtube is doing this kind of thing to the content creators of cryptocurrency since I personally think that it is unfair if they are just going to blocked or deleted a whole youtube channel of one creator.

YouTube will stay as long as Google exist.

It has to be the content creators, they either need to move or have a backup plan. Centralized platforms like YouTube can any time change their policy without even think about a creator.

I have seen few creators who have already started shifting or creating a backup on different platforms.

YouTube is being a very "c word" regarding the ICO and other stuffs involving crypto and all. Obviously it's Google which is a puppet under the US government which is very anti crypto for now.
