when they violate, they must be removed from the Google store, it is normal. But do people find it strange that both YouTube and Google are boycotting what is crypto-related in their system? What is happening ? Is it true that many Americans are gradually boycotting crypto and don't want this market to grow anymore?
Anyone have an opinion on this? Lately there have been quite a lot of bad news about crypto and even bitcoin, I don't know what will happen in the future of 2020, im so confused.

Google not ready to accept crypto in their platform. This is big company and should take everything under government law, no law not taken. The real reason is usually about law it self or they don't get benefits from it, same like You tube cases. Until now crypto is not tracked, so there's possibility crime will happen. Google doesn't want bad thing happen in their platform and reject/ banned is the way, but temporary I think.

Probably because the crypto is already a lot in the tire of Google ads and some have been reported using up their application because it was once scam when he himself was wrong. and end the delist from Google Play because they are screaming to be a scam. Whereas what I know by metamask we are more easily aware of which projects are at risk and not.

Google has banned Ethereum (ETH) wallet and decentralized app (DApp) browser Metamask’s android client from its Play app store.

The MetaMask team took to Twitter on Dec. 26, where they announced that Google had suspended MetaMask’s android client from Google Play’s app store, claiming MetaMask was in violation of Google’s financial services policies.

Google Play and the Apple Store seem to be trying to limit the popularity of DApps, and Coinbase's Mobile DApp may well be the next victim of this sweeping campaign. It seems the government has partnered with Google and Apple to stamp out the popularity of DApps.

Google has long hated the growth of cryptocurrencies and things related to decentralization. But at this time, there is undoubtedly an impact from the government, as it's rare for both Google and Apple to take action at the same time.

Google is very strict and if there are applications whose activities are considered unnatural or slightly suspicious then Google will not hesitate to ban it. and the poor activity of crypto so far is still considered a slightly dangerous activity.

It seems not just banned from Google, Apple apparently is also considering removing the DApps application from its App Store. I just read the news here, after typing the clue on Google "Metamask". very unfortunate  Cry

If they have violated something they should fix it in order to proceed with their plan without any problem. I would be love to use metamask using my android phone so I am hoping that whatever is the hurdle of their launch they can fix it.

I am sure that Google only wants a safe launching so it will be difficult for the hackers to breach their security or whatever reason they have right now in banning ETH wallet and metamask android client in their playstore.

They just want to wash their hands on this kind of thing, If anything happens with this Apps or someone will get scam with some big amount of cash and the Apps has anything to do about it, Google play store will also be featured. because they got those apps from them. this is not just a random removal they think about getting rid of these apps in their play store with some consultations of their advisers.

Google like many institutional investors are simply afraid of the collapse of prices for cryptocurrencies and do not want to be involved in this. They looked at the validity of VISA and PayPal in relation to Libra. There's probably nothing wrong with that. This situation is inconvenient for new members of the crypto community. Let's see how the situation will develop in the future but I think soon these applications will reappear on the trading platform of Google.

Some weird conspiracy banning of crypto stuff we can see around here. Firstly, Google and YouTube, now this. I hope my fav wallets (Atomic, Freewallet) won't be banned.

Crypto need to go through lot of changes, we will see lot of back and forth. Even countries are not able to take proper stance on Cryto. Hope things will be fine in coming years.

There's no point in discussing this matter now, as Google already reinstated the said app in the store from what I've read in the news. It goes the same as Youtube reinstating those videos and channels that were affected due to the algorithm in deleting crypto-related videos that are potentially a scam to investors, because it seems like people are taking opportunity of it.

The only issue I see with this is that google playstore has been the major channel through which most Metamast users get their apps. If care is not taken, a lot of folks might be misled into using unauthorized Metamast apps, which could result in loss of fund. It is better we should be careful at this point.
Also. there are so many suspicious apps on playstore, that google ought o remove, but it seems they are not so concerned about that.
