Kevacoin | Key-Value Data Store on Blockchain

Download our iOS and Android Mobile App and Post Something Today!

If you need some KVA to try the mobile app, feel free to send a direct Twitter message with your address to @kevacoin, and 10 KVA will be sent to you automatically.

What’s Kevacoin?

Kevacoin is a cryptocurrency for the blockchain that supports easy and flexible Key-Value data store. Use it like Redis or other popular data store, except that the data is stored on the public blockchain that is not owned by any entities.

The data store is easy to add, update and access. No programming skills are required and it does not need smart contracts and their associated complications and risks.

Use it for publications, microblogging, public identities, notaries, etc.

Fair Launch

We are committed to a fair launch, with no pre-mining, no founders' reward and no ICO.

Open

We developed Kevacoin as an open-source project. It is not funded by any companies or foundations. We invite anyone who is interested in the project to join us.

You do not need to consider it because almost nobody here uses Gitter. Discord or Telegram is more convenient to use and user friendly.

I believe they are false scans. Kevacoin source code is derived from Litecoin. Similar results (even a few more) have been detected from the latest Windows installer from their official website:
https://imgur.com/a/4mq0vDh

We built the Windows installer on Ubuntu using cross-compiler toolchain, to minimize any potential possibility that the Windows OS has been compromised. I.e. our Windows installer is built on a Windows-free environment.

If in doubt, you can always build the Windows version of Kevacoin core from the source code:
https://github.com/kevacoin-project/kevacoin/blob/master/doc/build-windows.md

Why can't the wallet of windows 10 open?

Not sure if this is problem you encountered, Kevacoin's mainnet is not launched yet. For now, you have to pass the "-testnet" option to "kevacoin-qt.exe":

1. Open the command console (Click the search icon the task bar, type "cmd").
2. cd "Program Files\Kevacoin"
3. kevacoin-qt.exe -testnet
4. Wait for the wallet to sync.

Or you can use my method to enable it.
1. Click [Windows logo]+ R then type Appdata
2. Select Roaming > find Kevacoin
3. Create .txt file with name Kevacoin and insert testnet=1 in the file.
4. Change the file extension from .txt into .conf and then run the wallet.

Now it shows that the test network can mine?

Yes, you can mine on the testnet. This can be useful to test solo-mining and your mining pool software.

For solo-mining, follow this guide:
https://kevacoin.org/tutorial_solo_mining.html

If you want to start a mining pool, there is a reference implementation:
https://kevacoin.org/mining.html

You can use any miners that support Cryptonight R (variant 4) hashing algorithm.

If you want to implement your own mining pool, it is easier to modify from an existing Crypotnight (e.g. Monero) mining pool software. Kevacoin is derived from Bitcoin/Litecoin, so it is not a privacy coin. But its mining interface has been modified so that it is compatible with Cryptonight stratum protocol and miners.
