Well this is just an old topic because altcoins is currently heading to the moon, the bitcoin trend is really helping the altcoins out of their Graves, you can see so many dead projects are beginning to breath again and we might just be in for another ATH of some altcoins, it's moon season, it's altcoins season, bitcoin at the wheel.

I know that people are very excited about what is happening in the market of cryptocurrencies especially because after a very long time altcoins finally show some signs of growth, and that is great don't get me wrong but I'm still worried that this is a bull trap.

If you take the time to check several technical indicators it seems that the market is clearly overbought and that the current positive tendency cannot continue for long and when that happens we'll have to see what the price does, if the price goes down just a little bit then that is a pattern that indicates a continuation but if it goes down abruptly then it shows that it was a bull trap.

some altcoins have recovered and even the increase can be up to 300%, ETC, DASH, BSV have PUMP, others seem to be still waiting their turn, hopefully the dominance of Bitcoin will decrease deeper

in my personal opinion, it's quite risky if you choose the top 30 altcoins on the market, I don't really like high risk so if I have to choose investment options with altcoin, then I'd better choose the top 10 list on the crypto market.

The altcoins have been given the time to put things in order, use case, successful exchanges, development of technology, and liquidity. If some coins don't get most of these after this bear market, most of them are likely to be withdrawn from the big exchanges that could lead to their demise. De-listing will be a form of certificate of death problem as time goes by and this signal will decide your holdings. Perhaps because of the market, if your coin was not listed at any time, the team competence will guarantee holding factor or think otherwise.

Well, that will be the safest way to secure your money. Investing your money into the top Altcoins will be the best thing to do as of the moment to be secure and at the same time to avoid being scammed by new Altcoins that we are not sure if is legible or not. Better to settle down for the sure than risking if you were just new in this industry. As of the moment this year 2020, Altcoins are doing great improvement if you will observe it and see their price charts. Along with the price increase of Bitcoin, Altcoins are also starting to rise their prices specially those who rely or depends their prices into Bitcoin. Just keep on holding into the Altcoins you have in your portfolio and wait for a while until you are satisfied with the price and then you can decide if you will sell it or keep on holding it. Just assure that you have already sort out the potential coins and sell those you think are unworthy for long term holding.

yes you are right investing in the top 30 coins will minimize losses. and since the beginning of 2018 until the end of 2019 yesterday the altcoin market was red. almost all altcoins lose their value. and actually it's a good opportunity to buy and add coins.
and earlier this year when bitcoin experienced an increase in the altcoin market going green. this proves that when bitcoin increases altcoin can also pump.

I like that kind of attitude, actually everyone should do that if they are really holding for long term.
The only hard thing is in the selection process, you need to select the coin that you are going to hold for long term and that's very challenging.

with that attitude, you'll not panic and you are ready to accept regardless of what will happen.

I couldn't agree with u more, the top 30 basically just playing the chart following BTC movements right now. If we called it bleeding then I would like to say it normally way since the KING is rampant on its move, the follower only could be following it. Even Ethereum as the father of token doesnt do significantly on 2019 ( going to base price again ). But if i assume this 2020 will be the next wave. Hopefully BTC not going south again.

Only a few coins increased their prices, but most of the coins lose their value which is not a very good year for the altcoins. Bitcoin and some other few coins increased their prices in 2019, which Bitcoin has shown its dominance till the end of the year.

After the pump, the bleeding happens.

Bitcoin has dropped today, so majority of the altcoins are also dumping today, or we called it bleeding, but let's hope for a bounce back.
In general, the market for altcoins is still bleeding right now, though BSV had some big surge recently, but it wasn't strong enough to affect other altcoins and that is clearly just a hype, when it's just a hype, next thing will happen is the market corrects.

Even the top 30 altcoins does not perform well in this past days and months. So it's still not advisable to invest if you are not certain about the coin you are interested in. In other words you should consider observing the market before investing you money or else it would go to waste.

There was a slight decrease in the bitcoin dominance but nothing too big and it is not really difficult to understand why, people are still very interested in bitcoin and the halving that will come, they are not going to sell their bitcoins for altcoins when they know that in the future they are going to obtain great profits with them.

So you should not really expect the rally of altcoins to continue, this is simply a pump and dump that is not going to last, if you can obtain profits with it that is great but you should not expect that this is the rally that everyone is expecting because it is not and if you keep accumulating altcoins at the current prices it is likely that you are going to suffer a lot when the price goes down.

The only coins that are getting sustainable increase like bitcoin are top 100 CMC. This has already proven if so many lwo coins are not worth to invest. Binance is always dominating the market since it was created by satoshi and this dictate the price of the whole crypto. But at least we have seen a slightly increase rather than seeing nothing right now.

Totally agreed on that. While crypto market is still very volatile at this stage the history (and charts) shows that crypto is going to grow further.

where do you see so you can say the altcoin market correction is complete? there will always be a correction every time a pump occurs. although the large and small scale of the correction must differ depending on how strong the altcoin market is. bitcoin has developed quite well, but you can see there are also correction movements that occur all the time.
