I noticed one more small bug in my profile, which may be happening in other profiles as well.
My profile bug is different:
Code:
Trust Feedback Information
  Pos Neu Neg
Received 0 0 0
Trust color: Dark Green

My profile has more bugs:

On the first table have 1100 merits, on second 99 earned, on log 107 (even if I have 108)
Also, the trust rating is:

Code:
Trust Feedback Information
  Pos Neu Neg
Received 0 0 0
Trust color: Light Green

Hey,

First of all, thanks for taking the effort to bring the tool back to live !

Just a quick feedback regarding the slowliness today. Like 20sec to access it first.

Not sure if it's a peering issue with my ISP or if more of us are involved?

Merit display is also lagging way behind, but I suspect you already know this one? Smiley
Edit: Same as stated above. Last line is correct, but the "value" line is wrong.

A quick acknowledgment that we're not ignoring you all, just busy fixing stuff.

The site runs on an undersized VM so it might be slow at times. Like right now compressing the daily backup seems to have brought it down. Please bear with us until we figure out some of these issues.

We're aware of merit and trust mismatches. Will tackle that over the next couple of weeks. All examples posted in this thread help tremendously, so thank you for that.

From what I've seen, PBIP misses about 1% of all profiles. If you could check the missing ones against http://loyce.club/usernames/, that would be great Smiley

I've found and re-fetched 520 missing profiles. It now seems to be keeping up.

Thanks for all the feedback and keep it coming, much appreciated.

Maybe not a big deal but still a bug. Those badges keep showing up and dissapearing.
I should have taken a screen shot, but after a refresh (not manualy parsing the account only F5) they change. Normaly I have 4 badges.

Today when I visit my profile I had 3 badges (most recongized), (most merit) and (most trust), after a F5, (most trust) disspeard and I had 2. After another F5 (most trust) came back toghether with (most posts) and I had 4.

Interesting. I'm seeing this too. It looks like your posts rank is actually changing to >1000 temporarily then going back to 952 which causes the badge to come and go.. but the post count stays the same.. I haven't seen trust disappear yet but will be taking a look.
(congratulations btw! .. And don't derail the thread or someone's alts will appear to report you! Tongue)

Sometimes I see only 2, the merit and recognition badge, but it's not that often. BTW I've noticed this bug a month or two ago, it's been happening for quite some time now.
Thank you! well.., seems like I'm good in forking threads, why not just fork BPIP Wink

I think I know what's causing this mystery. It's called a "dirty read" and no, it's not TMAN's fault...

Edit: wrapped the rank/badge thing into a transaction so it should be good now.

Awesome sauce.
I'd still blame TMAN, though. Tongue

A few other things that should be mentioned:
  • Daily, weekly, and monthly merit awards should be fixed, there were several bugs and some older data which was missing or not accurate. I've re-calculated all merit awards going back as far as the DB allowed (~April of 2018).
  • dt1changes.aspx should no longer be showing multiple entries all at once. (dt1changes.aspx is also being re-written to be more robust)
  • Ranks should no longer skip numbers on the DT strength reports.
  • DT1 strength report now shows a DT2 strength value.

Nothing's gonna stop us now.  Cheesy

What I did now was to double check my received merit to see why they are so off.

I have 1518 received according to bitcointalk extracting 10 airdropped, that makes total of 1508 merit received from other members.

According to BPIP, I have total of 1519 (one extra) in the MATR stats.

In the Merit information says - 1498 received.
What I did was to export my merit history in a sheet and sum it, just to be sure, and yeah the sum was 1498.
I noticed that those merit which were send by the forum (reward from theymos) were not yet included :
Quote
December 02, 2019, 09:14:23 PM: 10 from (Bitcoin Forum) for (Deleted/Off-limits/Ignored)
December 02, 2019, 08:46:30 PM: 1 from (Bitcoin Forum) for (Deleted/Off-limits/Ignored)

anyway adding to the 1498 + 11 = 1509 + 10(airdroped) = 1519. One extra... Interesting.

I use Loycev merit history database and compared the both lists. The end date is 10th of Jan. 2020.
In BPIP I had 751 transactions, in Loyce.club were 752, but LoyceV has added those two missing from the forum so final count were 750.

At the end I had one extra transaction and I trace it down to this >
Quote

1/9/2020 4:16:48 PM    JayJuanGee    iasenko    1    2020 Merit Source Application - iasenko.

I have a double merit transaction for this post which is wrong.

Sorry about the formatting ^, Not so much time lately..(wonder why Cheesy ) I hope it helps.

It helps a lot. The "Bitcoin Forum" merits I have already suspected to be an issue but the duplicate is something we'll need to look into.

Today's Merit data is still crunching, but http://loyce.club/Merit/merit.all.txt is updated up to this morning's Merit data dump.
As far as I know, this file is still complete.

This file is updated too (up to this morning's data dump): http://loyce.club/Merit/userID_sent_received.txt

Self-Custody is a right. Say no to"Non-custodial"

Sure, it is NOT just a few merits that are wrong here and there.

The totals of merits that are calculated on BPIP received and sent are way off for my BPIP profile.

For example, as I type this message, BPIP shows that I have currently received 1,250 merits (but the actual number is 1,313), and BPIP shows that I currently have sent 4,503 merits (but the actual number is 4,746), so I understand that team BPIP... is working on this particular matter, so such disparities are likely still existing for quite a few of the members, too...

I won't even try to give reasons for such disparities, since I will likely NOT describe what is going on with any kind of accuracy.. so why have more inaccurate information out there from peeps that don't know nuttin (referring to myself)?   Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Overall, it does seem that in recent weeks that the BPIP site has been loading a lot of the fields better on my end (and frequently I am just getting ballpark information anyhow, or maybe looking to see if I had recently merited a particular user when deciding if I should merit again.. sometimes wanting to go further back than the forum's 120 day display of merits limits), and updating a lot more of the fields in a more timely way than it had been a few months ago... so I can see some of the progress on the user's end.

1) Self-Custody is a right.  There is no such thing as "non-custodial" or "un-hosted."  2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized.  3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

Trust scores/colors should be showing up again, as profiles are refreshed/parsed.
(big thanks to theymos for correcting a stray tag on the Bitcointalk profile page which helped with this)

Shouldn't this color be marked as green? As I have 1 pos and 0 of the others?

Trust color is based on the "feedback trust" score:
<0 == Red
0-4 == Black
>4 == Green
>14 == Dark Green

At the moment, you're feedback trust score is being calculated as 3, which is why it is black.
disclaimer: I'm still double-checking this feedback trust calculation to make sure it's working as intended

Trust color is based on the "feedback trust" score:
This is still based on the old Trust scores, right? The system in which your Trust score increased by 1 point per month, until it reached the maximum of 10 points per user who left you positive feedback?
Negative feedback still has an exponential effect, that's why it goes up to minus 2 million.

It's probably much easier to forget about the old system and implement the new Trust scores, but I do like the nostalgia.

With what frequency is the database updated?
Why do I have 500+ posts, if in fact 200+
Why 17 merit if there are more than 30? Maybe I did not quite understand this?

You can just use the "Refresh profile" button next time (I did it for you).

For the merits, I believe there is an issue (the text on the bottom seems to be more accurate than the table):

There is no specific frequency - more active profiles are updated more often, and certain events (receiving or sending merits for example) will trigger a quicker update. Or just press the refresh button as OmegaStarScream mentioned. "Last Parsed" shows when the user profile has been refreshed.
