It seems that BPiP has lost some functionality. I guess a reset is needed
Does not show an accurate merit count.
Recognizable, there is a difference between the total number of merit and earned. For example, @dkbit98 has 8406 merit by the forum, while BPIP is stuck on 8402 count:

I just checked this now and I think it shows merits correctly for my profile.
I can see the same 8413 merit number in forum profile and on BPIP website, but 8402 number is still visible under earned merits on BPIP website.
Maybe it needs more time to update everything, but I never paid much attention to this.

You are not the only one having such issue when searching usernames. I just tried it and got the same error as you.
If you want to check someone's profile on BPIP, you can use the following links until the issue is resolved.

https://bpip.org/Profile?id=xxxxx
Replace the xxxxx with the user's ID.

https://bpip.org/Profile?p=xxxxx
Replace the xxxxx with the username.

I'm not sure whether it's my internet connection (i'm not running anything heavy rn) but from my end, BPIP seems to be loading quite slow. And, if i search for any usernames or click on a user, the data doesn't appear instantly but loads for a few seconds. Also, I just encountered this  504 Gateway Time-out error. The point is it feels slow...

Is this normal?

I have noticed the same thing.  Probably a database lock that one of the team has to clear.

I just visited the website. I searched for a few profiles. I also checked some other pages such as earned merit ranking and smerit reports. I couldn't find any issues with the website.
Everything is working perfectly.

I also didn't notice any problems with the site, it opens super fast even with Tor.

It seems that there's some issues with the website.
The home pages loads very fast, but I can't visit the profiles.

I also tried to visit some other pages and none of them loaded. Only the home page loads.

homepage, but with the white page, while other pages report a 504 error. The site is unavailable. I can't even ping it.
As far as I can see, even the browser bot extension can't collect info from there.

I wonder if it's something big that has been causing all this, because we kept facing several errors in a very short amount of time.

Most of the errors are just temporary, and once reported, they will be fixed... I don't think it's something big causing that. I have personally seen the blank page error before but it was gone after a short while so no need for panic thanks to the poepel behind the project.

DS does have a valid point.   Website bugs are usually quickly identified and squashed, but they are probably battling a SQL deadlock or index issue.  I should apologize for originally coding in Microsoft's .NET and using a relational database, both which add unnecessary complication for such a simple website.  Plus I never used APIs and let the web pages touch the database directly.    I think they are just too busy for the proper maintenance that MS requires.  :/
