These scams normally starts by giving you hints of its fake legitimacy. And when you entertain such messages, that's where it starts to puzzle your mind as you ride their trickery. But one thing that is always used is the 'deposit first to get reward' type of method, which blows their cover. What I think is the best way to avoid these is just don't entertain anyone you don't know in the web, especially if its only on telegram.

He's a genius one for that kind of trick. He's trying to gain your trust. He even sent you $70 to make it not an obvious scam. But at the end you'll also need to deposit money. If you're new to this kind of environment, you will really end up getting scammed.
I've never understood why people put this much effort into trying to scam.
Because they only just need to invest efforts and they can get huge money in exchange within just an hour of pretending and scamming.

To op, thanks for sharing this one. We can be aware and avoid getting scammed with this move.

Indeed you are brave. Someone who is gullible will fall for this scam immediately he sees the amount of money he has won. This is part of the problem facing and affecting crypto. A lot of mad individual will just hide behind their phone and want to scam people via crypto knowing very well they can't be traced. How can someone you don't know what you and him to make money together. This is very common on telegram and I have witnessed the same thing before but the scammer want to use a fake exchange he created to scam me. He told me he has huge amount of money in his online exchange account but he can't withdraw it because crypto is banned in the country. I believe many BTT users must have experience this also on telegram.

The rate of desperation in the cryptocurrency industry is really hitting the roof.

I decided to take this medium to enlighten users to protect themselves and their assets against a new scam in town.

A guy by name "Allen Stanley" messaged me on telegram.
He said he wants us to make money together.
I told him to go on, he said he works with Betxloot.com,a crypto betting site.

He said he could make anyone he likes to win the bet, that he can proof it if I want, but I had to create an account on the above site and bet with at least $70.

He said he would have done it himself, but the team already knew him and his wallet address, so he wanted to make another person win and share in the winning 50/50.

I told him I didn't have such money, so he insulted me, after which I told him to bring the $70 for the betting, then he will take 60% if he makes me win.

He told me to give him my username on the site, which I did, immediately he sent $70 to my dashboard.
He told me to place a bet, which I did, when the bet which lasts about 2mins was up, he made me a winner.

I won $4998, he dropped his btc address and told me to withdraw and then send his 50%, to me it was too good to be true.

So I attempted to withdraw to my btc wallet, and a message popped up, it read "because it's a new account, your assets are frozen, you will have to deposit about $100 - $170 to unfreeze your account.

When I showed him a screenshot, he pretended as though it was random, he started persuading me to deposit $100 to unfreeze the account,so I could withdraw the huge sum I had won.

I believe by now you too have come to understand that it is a scam site, Allen Stanley is working to get people deposit $100 to get a winning that is not real.

Even other members of the platform were chatting of a game that doesn't exist, making it seem like a normal activity, which we already know they are all part of this scam group.

Please do not fall for this new scam betxloot.com, they might want to entice you with huge winnings, but a they want us your btc, don't give in.

this was an obvious scam I bolded the reason why.

It is easy to create multiple wallets multiple emails and multiple accounts on most any website.

When he said he had an account and was known by the website and needed a new account name to hide from the website that was a red flag.
In fact If he could win anytime he wold just make a different account and wallet to do so.

take a look at my signature and realize that he simply could have 2 or 3 or 4 or more accounts.  I have multiple accounts here.

Well you only lost 100 bucks  lesson learned fairly cheaply.
I didn't lose any, because I never u froze the account, I refused to do it, he is still persuading me

yes it's very clear of fraud, You must make this thread in the scam section: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0 hopefully there are no victims, I also really hate scams, You must provide the fraudulent sitelink or deceptive profile, so we can find out the person or site.
I will do that, to avoid people from falling into it

It's getting pretty common I think scam attempts through telegram chat. I've been receiving such messages quite often until now.
And all they ever asked was they want to make me their business partner and with the of our money combined, we could get a ton of profits together. No matter the other party party came from, I don't give a damn about such thing. What a bs thing to say. I hope no more victims falls for this kinda schemes.

I never respond about someone who i don't know PM me and offer something, any PMs i wouldn't ever to respond. I think people should do that because scammers will use a lot of ways to steal money from us. And something like what OP tell to us wouldn't harm anyone if people can ignore it. Glad for OP he is not easily believe to something like that.
the scammers will certainly do many ways to find people who are easy to get hooked and we must understand it. it's good indeed to forget and ignore things that are not clear, especially on offers that do not go in to what I think is potentially fraudulent. nowadays many methods are done by fraudsters, including sending PM or can also be via email but email will usually be more organized.
It should be the reason why we have to be cautious and attentive when it comes to emails because we can't literally assure that their intention was good. Also, scammers these days will always look for opportunity to deceive us even if we tried to protect and secured our funds by not believing into their words and promises particularly when you have seen that it is quite difficult to fulfill. They will surely take advantage of you if they get the chance and that is why you have to open your mind when it comes to these kind of problem because you will never know when you will encounter it. That was a tricky ordeal.
To be frank, I would have really fallen for this, after looking at how much I have won.

I like your boldness, because if you didn't play along with the scammer, you wouldn't have learnt their tricks.

You kinda put yourself on the line in order to get information to warn others.
Thanks a lot, I will be careful with my dealings in crypto.

Allen Stanley or betxloot.com, they can easily change names by tricking others with the same trick. to be honest, if I were you, I wouldn't be interested from the start. however, since he asked for investment, I don't believe it, it's a fabricated story. This is also a matter that needs attention, that when we receive a message from a telegram, do not be easy to believe.

I also had this kind of invitation but I refused it as soon as I heard his scheme.  He even offered me the same thing that he will be the one to make a deposit and all I have to do is just play it and he will let me win.  He also said that he is one of the operator of that site and he wanted to bag some BTC and he needed that kind of help.

This is a very sophisticated scam trick of scammer, nowadays scammer has been very smart and devised new games that make greedy people in this market trapped. With the scam as you share, I think he made many people cry because of their greed and lack of knowledge.
Thank you for sharing this useful information, remembering their website and staying away from it as far as possible

Obviously a telegram scammer do not entertain this people block and report them in telegram.

These guys are classic scammer I can't believe they still exist until today, hoping someone will fall into their trap. Most of the time they are finding newbies to trick.

I think the best thing to do is just to like this post to share this message to everyone so that a lot of newbies in cryptocurrency could also be aware and could avoid this scam.

We should remember that scammers are in everywhere, so we should be careful especially if there is a stranger try to connect with us. Scammers are becoming more smarter than before, they will create a fake identity and they will try to reach us in order for them to steal the bitcoins that we have. If there is a people who try to reach with us and offering a project, we should be think smart because it is really something fishy.

Don't you ever ever trust easily, most of the time people will do everything just to fool you. They work hard to scam and to take all the money you have on your account. As much as possible, always look on something and never trust someone when they tell you to do some actions that you'll not benefit for it. Their words are very persuasive and do not try to get on the bait. Always know those people who make a conversation with you and also secure your accounts.

Please do not fall for this new scam betxloot.com, they might want to entice you with huge winnings, but a they want us your btc, don't give in.

It is great sharing such information into thi forum to let other cryptocurrency users to fall into such sites which you have already experienced. It seems to be a first sign that it is a scam if a stranger comes out to be messaging you and persuading you on making such deposits into a strange site because in this vast world of crypto, with random people in it, how can it possibly be that someone will message you and say to make you win in a betting game which seems to be a game of probability. On that first base, it is already a scam added by the fact that he wants you to deposit an amount just to claim your prize is already doubtful. We cryptocurrency users must let other users about this things specially those that are new in this space to avoid them getting victimized due to the fact that those people are targeting new people and taking advantage into their desperation to earn. Remember, no such thing is easily being claimed in this industry so you must be observant and keep yourself knowledgeable about what is happening to avoid being scammed.

And now the scammers are making all the efforts just to get a free money from noobs. Earning a free money is already a scam attempt as no one will surely give a method easily if they really earn from it.

It's good that you create a thread for this kind of tactics that the scammers are still using right now so other newbies will be aware and for them to avoid them as much as possible. Don't easily entertain the people that you don't know so you can avoid this kind of scam attempt.
