Damn, I often get a pm from telegrams about cooperation offers and others, I just ignore that, because I know it's a scam. no free or instant money.
although I once got a scammer in a telegram and lost 3 eth, lol. of course it is a lesson for me.
Yes, thankyou for the information and making us more aware about scammer. Actually I got scammed also before but it was in investment.  I pay and pay because they say it will increase high as you give them your money.  But that was a lesson also to me so I became more observant and always double check if it safe or not.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

I really can't believe it when you were fooled with something as simple as that. Why are you depositing money in their wallets without any guarantees? In my country, there are many similar cases, they believe in trading groups and those groups promise to return 100% of profits in 1 month. A lot of people have trusted and deposited money in their wallets, as a result no one could get their money, the scammer disappeared shortly afterwards. Btw there is also a lesson in this market and you should be more careful

Crypto is very vulnerable from scammers and if someone randomly just messaged you in telegram, doubt already and don't give your trust. That's very suspicious already so don't entertain them. Ignore them if it's only about money, because they're trying to scam you. Why would someone you don't know would come and will they you that they're here to "help you"Huh When he could just help his friends.

This is no longer a new thing, I have seen it several times. These scammers are working really hard to deceive a lot of people and the worst part of it all is that you will see the chat and it would be very active and you will see people having normal discussions and saying that it is real and talking about how much they won, lol.

The new one I have been seeing recently is on Twitter – these scammers will post genuine comments other celebrities Tweets, their comments will attracts lots of likes and the next thing they will add another comment under their first – take for example the last one I saw they used Elon Musk, then the scammer posted a picture of Elon Musk tweeting that Tesla is doing a giveaway (probably photoshopped) and he will then say something like ‘thank you Elon Musk for the 2 BTC’, and this will convince some people to think Elon Musk is doing some giveaway and then go to the websites that is posted by the scammer (like elmusk.online) and when you reach there the site will direct you to the fake Blockchain site and you will as well see comments that are pretending to have won rewards from them, they will tell you to send some BTC and receive ten times of it to your address. It’s all SCAM, and this has been around for a while now.

It’s people like this that makes people think that cryptocurrency is a world of scammers and thieves.

The past year i have been victim of this kind of scam in the forum. I know that feeling, the rush about take our a big amount of money makes us deposit a lil more.

The money was lost but at the end i create a thread to try to prevent some other users to avoid this schema:

The rate of desperation in the cryptocurrency industry is really hitting the roof.

I decided to take this medium to enlighten users to protect themselves and their assets against a new scam in town.

A guy by name "Allen Stanley" messaged me on telegram.
He said he wants us to make money together.
I told him to go on, he said he works with Betxloot.com,a crypto betting site.

He said he could make anyone he likes to win the bet, that he can proof it if I want, but I had to create an account on the above site and bet with at least $70.

He said he would have done it himself, but the team already knew him and his wallet address, so he wanted to make another person win and share in the winning 50/50.

I told him I didn't have such money, so he insulted me, after which I told him to bring the $70 for the betting, then he will take 60% if he makes me win.

He told me to give him my username on the site, which I did, immediately he sent $70 to my dashboard.
He told me to place a bet, which I did, when the bet which lasts about 2mins was up, he made me a winner.

I won $4998, he dropped his btc address and told me to withdraw and then send his 50%, to me it was too good to be true.

So I attempted to withdraw to my btc wallet, and a message popped up, it read "because it's a new account, your assets are frozen, you will have to deposit about $100 - $170 to unfreeze your account.

When I showed him a screenshot, he pretended as though it was random, he started persuading me to deposit $100 to unfreeze the account,so I could withdraw the huge sum I had won.

I believe by now you too have come to understand that it is a scam site, Allen Stanley is working to get people deposit $100 to get a winning that is not real.

Even other members of the platform were chatting of a game that doesn't exist, making it seem like a normal activity, which we already know they are all part of this scam group.

Please do not fall for this new scam betxloot.com, they might want to entice you with huge winnings, but a they want us your btc, don't give in.
Honestly, my friend was almost get victim by this scammers in telegram. Good thing that my friend asked me about it, so i really told that it might be a scam because a stranger just pushing him to deposit a $150 to their project, which is obviously a scam because their website was not well created and the team members are all invented.

If the offer is too good to be true, always put a room to inspect if it is legit because you can't find any investment type that's almost doing nothing while receiving a profit. It's not how the real world works always put a room for a benefit of a doubt. Just reading from your title it is obviously that you fall to a too good to be true investment. Learn your lesson.

sometimes what makes people immediately affected and trust without re-checking is those who are in a hurry to make a profit. actually it is not good, because when investing we must always check to make sure the project is legitimate or not. without doing that, funds can easily be lost.

Glad that you did not fall into this old kind of scam, I have a post similar like this in the scam section, you can easily tell because it's too good to be true and everything is planned, even their answers are planned, so many are like this in the telegram, if you are not aware of this kind or similar like this or you did know that telegram are hubs of scammers you can easily fall for this

Yes, thankyou for the information and making us more aware about scammer. Btw there is also a lesson in this market and you should be more careful
not everyone has good knowledge, like me getting to know bitcoin first, of course I experienced a lot of losses, from trading, fraud or scammer, phishing and others. but everyone will always learn from his experience, so they will not get the same thing 2 times. This thread is very good, so people don't have to get into trouble first, but they can get lessons from other people's cases.

If someone sends an unsolicited message to people on telegram about these kind of things, it's indeed fake. First, if he doesn't know you why would he care about helping you win money and second, if he's doing this to many people he's probably desperate for bitcoin from scamming a bunch of people. Some people even go as far as harassing random users on telegram to extort money from them. I wonder if this is against Telegram's terms of service.

For those of you who reported that scammers "randomly selected them from a list of all Crypto Discord users" - how did they even manage to get all the users' names? That's definitely a lie they told you.

A lot of people in this crypto space are just looking for ignorant individuals to scam them. Once they realize that you don't really have enough knowledge and understanding on how the entire crypto space operates, they take advantage of you to scam you off the little bitcoin you have in your wallet.  And greediness of people make them vulnerable to such scams...
Honestly, all the explanation said by the OP i dont think this is an act of scamming ignorant individuals because the scenario was pretty cool and even the most smart person in the wirld may fall for it before understanding the whole scenarios.
@OP, it good you share this situation but i think the forum still need you to provide the screen shot of you conversation with the scammer for proper evidence.

That's for those looking for the screenshot of our conversation.
 Everything is made available there.

I decided to dedicate myself to this so as to make sure anyone doesn't fall for this.
I didn't fall for the scam, but I played along so I can get all these info about them

Well when it comes to trusting people, I tend to scan this forum first for those who had took the same track. I don't use Telegram that much when it comes to communicating with someone else. I would take the same precaution in Facebook & Messenger.
I wonder how the OP was contacted by the dude though.

In a world of internet, there is one rule we should be aware of.  Do not trust anyone on the internet.  Though that is probably too extreme but it will keep yourself and stash safe.  Those message in the telegram regarding big amount including the case presented by OP is one way of some individual to milk  unsuspecting people of their money.  So whenever anyone approach us or send a message that we won this kind of stuff or offer a huge amount of money then we should be careful about it and be suspicious.

I can relate so much in your story, but mine was not from any bitcoin gambling website it is from a website that uses in-game skins from CSGO and dota2. I literally won every bet he told me and I was too foolish to deposit money in order to "withdraw" my winnings lol. So this scam also do apply on bitcoin good thing you shared this.

Every day I receive more than 10 spam messages from scammer in telegram. It seems that they are trying to find new users to commit scam acts. I do not understand why people can still be fooled, because obviously we do not know each other but they want to benefit us. There is never anything free in this market and the price to pay for this trust is truly terrible

Scammers are everywhere, so let's not get into that. You'll receive messages where they'll(scammers) will look for your profit which is never the case. So let's not get into the discussion from the beginning itself. You are here to earn profits for yourself, and there will be no one looking for your profits. So don't get fooled by any of the scam messages.
