Speaking about plane - it is possible that in flight engine failure and subsequent fire caused the crash. Failure alone even on takeoff is not enough to cause crash. Fire and loss of flight controls can.

This is my theory about the whole thing about the plane being shoot down. After the Iran launched the rockets, they were very afraid about an immediate strike from USA and they panicked when they saw the Ukrainian plane and mistook it for an attack from the USA and proceeded to shot the plane down.

That's a possibility. I don't really see any reason for Russia to do this. Unless of course the Ukrainians in that flight were up to something in Iran but that would also be unlikely.

There is nothing wrong in carrying proper investigation and there have been series of reports flying around. This kind of investigation considering the party carrying it out would either give credence to the already popular notion or even disprove it. The souls of those who happen to be on the wrong flight at the right time will continue to cry for justice if its really due to any form of human sabotage. May their soul rest in peace.

Not surprising. Warnings mean nothing until a launch happens and trajectories and other information can be calculated, and then you probably have minutes.

There is a risk of missing the targets, then what happens to the anti-ballistic missile when it misses?.. where does it then go?..   Dispersal/bunkers is likely the safer bet here since they were on alert.

I don't see why Iran would allow the investigation to happen since it's most probably them who did it with Russian missiles.
Ukranians have every right to ask for the it to happen, it is their plane that was shot down!
But it's most certainly shot by Iranians.

Iran has already admitted of mistakenly shooting down the plane. This was a great blunder from the side of Iran or the stupid people that were operating the missile whose would lose a huge leverage on the conflict against US. It would be wise for them to stay down for now and promote stabilization of Iraq and Syria.

All American carriers stopped flying over Iraq and Iran, while some others stopped as well like  Quantas and Malaysia Airlines also started rerouting their planes. Most of the big ones still fly their planes over Iraq and Iran but no way in hell I would go with any flight that goes over the that area.

Russia invaded Crimea so they most probably naturally consider Americans to be their allies.

They definitely mistook the aircraft for an attack from the USA and shoot the it down. Some blame should be on the people who allowed the plane to take off in the first place since there was a lot of tensions in the area especially when the Iranians fired some rockets a few hours earlier.

All hell is breaking loose in Iran, with students protesting against the government for lying. The only good thing that I see about this is that they're also calling the general who was killed a murderer, and so with the lack of support from the Iranian people we can perhaps avoid a war.

Its probably because people in Iran have seen that central government has done nothing for there betterment rather just working for there own interest in the region. The only reason they are surviving is because of oil, there government atrocities on locals never came out because of strict censorship in Iran. Iran need to focus on its own people rather then showing eyes to usa.
