If I register and am not able to be there at the beginning, I will be automatically placed at the table and the game will just be taking my blinds, right? I will not be kicked out due to inactivity?

correct.

the blind structure is pretty slow too (3000 starting stack, 12 minute levels, 40/80/0 blinds after 1 hour of play) so you'll probably still have a healthy stack when you sit down. Wink

Sounds great, thanks. I might even be able to make it then.
Hopefully see you at the table!

BUMP! the game is 4 days away!

several people have PMed me saying they plan to register. the sooner the better, guys! we still need 12+ more people to get that extra 0.0025 BTC added by @buwaytress.

the next bitcointalk forum tournament is now in the lobby at SwC POKER! https://swcpoker.eu/

remember, SwC requires only an email address to create an account. no KYC, no banned jurisdictions. so everyone is welcome!

i am adding 0.0025 BTC to the prize pool manually. 1st place gets an extra 0.0015 BTC and 2nd place gets an extra 0.001 BTC.

no word from @efialtis? i thought it was a 7-day thing.

I'll register tomorrow. Also, have many people registered by now?

just a few of us so far. last tourney, it looked about the same at this point. i expect players to start filtering in towards the weekend. several people have confirmed or requested the password via PM, so i'm optimistic.

if worse comes to worst, we'll have a short single table tournament playing for an extra 0.0025 BTC. not the end of the world. Smiley

Aaaaaand I'm in lol. There are at least 4 of us after I registered last night. I'm sure more will pop in day of. That's pretty generous of them to do this with no rake. I haven't played around on the site at all, but if it's smooth I'd be down for making this the regular spot. Especially because anyone can join.

See everyone Sunday.

correct.

the blind structure is pretty slow too (3000 starting stack, 12 minute levels, 40/80/0 blinds after 1 hour of play) so you'll probably still have a healthy stack when you sit down. Wink

Sounds great, thanks. I might even be able to make it then.
Hopefully see you at the table!

Since there's 45 minutes of late registration, I suggest you to not register beforehand, but ask someone to register for you in the last couple of minutes of late reg. This way you can save 20%-25% of your initial stack, imo.

Only 4 players have registered so far

and, although I agree with @figmentofmyass that it won't be the end of the world, in the sense that it will surely be fun anyway, I hope more players will join during the following 33 hours.

the tournament starts in ~6 hours!

password: btc63nu4c9tm

see everyone there!

the next bitcointalk forum tournament is now in the lobby at SwC POKER! https://swcpoker.eu/

buy-in = 0.001 BTC. they are not charging us a tournament fee, which is pretty sweet!

remember, SwC requires only an email address to create an account. no KYC, no banned jurisdictions. so everyone is welcome!

i am adding 0.0025 BTC to the prize pool manually. 1st place gets an extra 0.0015 BTC and 2nd place gets an extra 0.001 BTC.

2 hours and we are good to go, great to see another player (upon searching who was he I see it was Improved, glad you made it Grin) made it register but it hasn't started yet so those who want to join may come to play with us later on the table.

Bumping these for attention especially to those that are been sent by @foma's private message here at bitcointalk.

I opened my third beer, rolled a cigar, and I am waiting for tournament to start. I am playing some cash game to kill some time before tournament starts. 6 players, first two places get paid, not bad I think, little private tournament. I don't see anything about late registration in tournament lobby, so I don't know can we expect more people to join later or not.
In any case I am glad about the game, I hope we will have a nice time and that I will win, of course Smiley

Little under a half hour, got my phone charged up and I'm wedging myself in the corner where I get reception lol.

Anyone on the fence let's remember this is a pretty sweet spot for a fun game. 100% prize pool, and there is an additional bonus thanks to the generosity of figmentofmyass, and buwaytress if we get up to 15 players.

Had a lot of fun playing tournament #1 and I expect this to be the same. Good luck everyone

the tournament is about to start in a few minutes!

https://swcpoker.eu/
tournament name: Bitcointalk Forum Tournament #2 (private)
password: btc63nu4c9tm

for latecomers, there is 45 minutes of late registration and the structure is pretty slow, so you won't be short-stacked if you join late.

hope to see you there!

edit:

tough game for me, extremely card dead. the strongest starting hand i saw all game was AQo and never really hit a flop. with Steamtyme and Betwrong to my left calling every raise or c-bet i made, i quickly found myself in push/fold mode with dead cards. Cheesy

had 5-6 BBs left, made my stand with KJo against a blind steal attempt from Improved (Obaming @ SwC). he sucked out on me with K6o. Tongue

i made a new account for this and was bummed to find out i couldn't chat. my "krill wave" wasn't high enough.....

looks like Steamtyme, Betwrong, and Iv4n are still in it. places #1 and #2, please post your bitcoin address and i'll send your additional winnings later today!

Not going to lie it was a little intimidating playing right next to you. Mostly because we have chatted so much strategy in the last month or so. You put me in a tough spot with my pocket 8's with your river bet, in the end I had to call figuring you had no 9's or higher pocket set. Edit: I did sneak a bluff through on you with a pot sized river bet, so it was in my mind when you made this play as well. It was the 22356 board, when I was BB had to assume you barely hit that board ever.

What nearly killed me was my pocket J's against Betwrong after I won with AA. I couldn't have turned and rivered worse cards, I didn't think they called my s-bet with an 8, maybe QQ or better but wasn't sure.

In the end I got pretty lucky, but my 10 BB stack jamming game was on point. I could have easily been out in 3rd when I jammed on the flop with a straight draw and bottom pair, got there on the river. Then hitting a couple of Club flush draws helped me take the title this time around. Edit: Oh wait and the time I jammed K, J maybe and sucked out on Ax for another fortunate tournament life saving double up.

Had a great time playing with you guys. Couldn't chat as I was playing on my phone and it was hard enough keeping it in reception. Great game all around

Edit: Another spot that just came to mind where I can't believe I didn't go broke was when Iv4n slow played those Pocket Aces that hit a set on the flop. Considering I had A7 and hit 2 pair on the turn. Saving grace was that it went 4 to a straight and I believe the BB was still in this hand so I figured they hit this a lot of the time.

Here is my BTC address thanks again - 3QVEDMccavKdfvmt5yDJ9enKr7PrUn7Ms2

too bad we didn't get enough players for the extra 2.5 mBTC. i suppose more people have sportsbet accounts, so are more likely to join a game there? none of the players lobbying against KYC actually showed up today. Sad

still waiting on Betwrong's address.

Who win the tourney, what I mean the first place? I would be honest right here but it's really tough for an Asian regarding the time the drowsiness really killing me and had to go all-in with the K9 with Steamtyme, and I really thought he was bluffing at that time and as cards showed that was great cards and now what I thought is you could get a bad beat, but it hadn't happened.

It was a fun and great game playing with you guys the next time I will really take a long siesta, so I can fight the drowsiness while on a game, 2:00 AM is a tough time to start with, but I have to carry on as this was the consensus time by the majority. I haven't really paid much attention that this was the time we'll play until it was the last 2 hours I've seen the time info. Congrats to Betwrong and Steamtyme.

+1. next time, the law of averages says i won't be so card dead. Tongue.
And you'll punish me for calling 88 lol

Who win the tourney, what I mean the first place? I would be honest right here but it's really tough for an Asian regarding the time the drowsiness really killing me and had to go all-in with the K9 with Steamtyme, and I really thought he was bluffing at that time and as cards showed that was great cards and now what I thought is you could get a bad beat, but it hadn't happened.
It was fun for sure. I actually won this time with betwrong taking second place. If I remember right you ran into my pocket AA. Just unlucky I had it that time, look forward to playing with you again.

Thanks again foma for the bonus prize. Regarding the platform for future tournaments I really enjoyed SWC so I would vote to keep playing here. It didn't hurt they hosted this for no cost which is damn decent of them.
