We really need a server/channel/group whatever where we can chat besides bitcointalk - regarding discord, I haven't really been doing anything myself on our server, sorry about that. I see around 20 people on our server anyways but I guess it's not like all of our regulars are there, is it? Shall we shift over to TG instead?

i'd be totally down for that. i'm hoping my real life schedule calms down in time for the next series, but the weekly schedule is pretty demanding at the moment. i'm much more confident i could set aside the time for a one off or monthly game.

And of course potential partners or sponsorship for our games (aside obv of SWC who already do us well I would like us to maintain this relationship - pokerstars that I wanted to consider using isn't accessible from some players so not doing it I suppose *shame)

if you can get pokerstars to run a private game and add value, you should do it anyway. i couldn't play but.....who cares? it obviously wouldn't make sense to run a whole series there like we've been doing at SwC though. the fact that SwC allows everyone and doesn't require KYC is ideal.

If we make a Telegram channel I will be much more active there. I hate discord and almost never log on there, just when I absolutely need to check something and there is no other way. So, even though I am member of our discord channel I am never actually there. I use Telegram daily and have it open on my mobile most of the time so if we go that way I can be much more active.

If we decide for Telegram group, I can be admin and probably answer most of the questions that come our way from possible new users. One less thing for you to do

I will always do my best to participate. I'm on telegram as a few mining companies decided that's the best way to administer support. Would work just fine for a chatbox for the series.

Depending on schedule timing I would do my best to play in either of these. One of the main reasons I've never played on stars is depositing, I hate using a 3rd party provider to load funds. I'm sure I could swing a P2P transfer or something of the sorts.

Pitch it as an idea to advertise on the forum and bring in more BTC poker players. Worth a shot. i've tried it before, pitching that exact angle. they ignored me on multiple attempts, but maybe their attitude has changed since january or february when i last contacted them.

unfortunately, buy-ins are locked at $1.65. weird!

if we wanted to run home games on stars, we could technically do it for play money and pony up p2p with bitcoin. that way, USA players (and anyone else from prohibited jurisdictions) could play too. someone would have to act as escrow. (not that this has anything to do with sponsorship, but you can create games on the fly instead of waiting on support)

I just wanted to let you know that as of now, it doesn't look like there is going to be a 5th Bitcointalk Poker Series @ SwC Poker anytime soon. I will of course let you know if anything changes.

My apologies for not being able to bring better news.

I'm assuming SWC has lost interest in sponsoring it? Makes sense I guess as we haven't really brought much additional traffic to the site.. apart from the roll I've left on the felt these past few months.

Hopefully we can throw together some one offs or something similar, until a time they choose to fire this up again. If they choose too...

Does make a decision I've been having trouble making a bit easier. Withdraw what I have kicking around on their site for the larger field tourneys on ACR.. or maybe somewhere else, might give GG another try. Keep in touch everyone.

It is a pity that there is no information, (as I recently discovered this thread and wanted to know when the 5^th series starts). I will look forward to updates, and I would like to add that as an alternative we can look at the WINK platform (as an option).

I just checked the Poker software on Betnomi and it's a decent one. Much better than what sportsbet.io introduced and scrapped few months ago. I am in for the next series on Betnomi if SwC pull off the sponsorship.

Also noticed 'Sunday Special' on Betnomi with 7,000 Euros in guaranteed prize. That's a decent prize money with buy-in of 55 Euros, better prize/buy-in ratio than SwC's BIG BTC. Will try that one next weekend if #5th Series doesn't roll in by that time.

Sounds interesting! Looks like a good alternative for the SwC sundays.. seems like efialtis will not manage any tournaments in near future after some stupid drama.
Im sad about the fact that we might lost him because of that but I can understand his decision and will respect that.

Im totally down for this one as long as we can have some good weekend poker session and some decent sponsored prize pool would be great . Efi stated that swc probably wont sponsor us anymore so I dont see any reason on why not to change the platform as long as we can have the series keep on running

Wow! That would be cool. Would love to hear more details on this one, if possible we all could contribute more to the pool so tournament could be more interesting and lucrative for all.

I even had an idea about how we could do both things simultaneously. First we put up the bigger game, then we use that for gaining the championship points.

Imagine getting points against loads of random fish before the end showdown with some familiar faces.

We could for example collect the 1k or whatever game fee and award points based on the order we (BtcT competitors) finish. And then still have a private final for the general top 9, maybe even 2 tables if we feel it.

What you think about them apples?
