Promote Bitcoin..... It is for "us"

Promoting is good, we can do it in our own little ways. But in order to attract and promote to majority of people, we need to have larger, more famous names, organization, etc. Maybe many people know ahout bitcoin now than years ago but still they do not find it interesting for them, and we can't do anything about that anymore.

I suppose everyone who interested in bitcoin kow the story about two pizzas and 10 000 BTCs paid for that. I believe one day this story will be in class books about Bitcoin and Blockchain if such ones will ever be printed

I have no idea. I think there are more effective things like investing and trading than just making payments for services and products using BTC. This is just my view because fiat is still more effective when used for micropayments. There are other ways that can be used to promote bitcoin, for example by showing the results you get from investing with BTC, it's better I think. Maybe what the OP wants is its functionality for payment, but for me at the moment it's still lacking.

I don't know many of the people are not interested in doing in any promotional acts regarding Bitcoin, I think the more we can promote the more it will be popular and familiar around the world, without promotional activities, Nothing will be familiar, I think still we have to do this because a lot of people are not aware of this system in the developing countries and especially about the cryptocurrency, people have a low level of knowledge, Since this is the most promising platform in the monetary system so this should be more easy-going process and blockchain education could be the best one for this purpose.

I think its no need to promote what bitcoin needed is to solve its scalability issues, 7 tps is pretty slow compared to some current payments systems such as visa/mastercard bitcoin is created as a new payment system and digital money so how can we use bitcoin if still many problems are facing right now the only signifant uses of bitcoin right now is for investment and trading.

Aside from social media, we can spend even at least once a week to spend our time with our friends and let's not forget to tell them that we are also earning thru crypto, thru Bitcoin and have some brief info to them that will make them curious, and also, if possible let's reach out those who don't have access over internet to just brief info regarding crypto as well.

When I knew about bitcoin, it was about 10,000 USD. I started understanding how it emerged and how it works. I did (and still do) my best to promote bitcoin too (include my purchase of a branded bitcoin shirt). Though the increase of bitcoin between 2009 - 2019 is the biggest increase I've ever seen, nothing got me as weak as this (a thread Laszlo made on the 18th of may 2010)

I'll pay 10,000 bitcoins for a couple of pizzas.. like maybe 2 large ones so I have some left over for the next day.  I like having left over pizza to nibble on later.  You can make the pizza yourself and bring it to my house or order it for me from a delivery place, but what I'm aiming for is getting food delivered in exchange for bitcoins where I don't have to order or prepare it myself, kind of like ordering a 'breakfast platter' at a hotel or something, they just bring you something to eat and you're happy!

I like things like onions, peppers, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, pepperoni, etc.. just standard stuff no weird fish topping or anything like that.  I also like regular cheese pizzas which may be cheaper to prepare or otherwise acquire.

If you're interested please let me know and we can work out a deal.

I know that many people are focused on the 10,000 bitcoins (wishing they could get it) but then, let us ALWAYS PROMOTE BITCOIN.
Laszlo served as a very good example here by trying to use bitcoin (22/5/2010) to purchase pizza (and obviously, his goal was achieved as bitcoin is now used for purchase).  Let us all find a way to promote bitcoin! It is for "us"!

in my opinion, bitcoin is a currency so its better not to regret it if you use your bitcoin when it low
i also use some of my bitcoin before to pay online or withdraw it in cash
but i didn't regret it because i use it already for purpose of it at that time.

You have made a solid point. Everyone that trades or use bitcoin today only do so because they are aware of the immense potential it holds. Though the Man in the center of this write up did not realize that that 10000 Btc would be worth real fortune in the future, he play a huge role in spreading the bitcoin brand to lots of persons. If we only open seminars about bitcoin, I guess that will not attract many people because many of them are not interesting in the new thing that comes to them. But if the seminars are about some investment programs, and bitcoin is used as the payment, then I think many people want to know more because that is happening in many places. And with that seminars, many people get scam by the programs because that investment program is using bitcoin to make their profit without helping bitcoin to be adopted by other people.

They only search for their own benefits without thinking if they scam many people, bitcoin will get a bad name among the people. I think it still difficult to introduce bitcoin to the public as they still prefer to do the traditional works than to try with the new opportunity. But I hope that soon after they see a new exploding of cryptocurrency, they will see that cryptocurrency or bitcoin comes to them to give a new opportunity to make money.

We can't always continue for promoting bitcoin because many people just believe with bitcoin during have higher price, when bitcoin back to lower price although active for promoting bitcoin but no one believe with bitcoin as good investment assets, maybe I only promote bitcoin during have higher price and situation right now I stop for promoting bitcoin.

I won't agree thoroughly with this. Because in my country, people are not aware. Some haven't even heard the name bitcoin before. You don't know how many more people who are out there that just haven't heard of bitcoin. I'm sure you heard of Jesus. In fact, I'll say everyone has. That's the way I wish bitcoin is. Even if they don't believe in it, let them know about it. 🤷‍♂

That's kinda sad. I guess starting up with referring to relatives or friends would be a good start. A straightforward advertising to the public would be just a waste of money and time. They'll just be bored to death when they're gonna start learning about Blockchain also. Somehow it is being mentioned anyway in TV Shows, so that's that for a bit of unexpected commercial/advertisement for Bitcoin.

I agree bitcoins should be spread with friends and family at first place. If spread publicly no one is ever going to believe in cryptocurrencies. Spreading awareness is important but with the people you know, or else it'll be just a waste of everything. Replicate your friends and family with yourself so that we can take cryptocurrencies at next level.

We can also actively promote about bitcoin from our social media accounts where we have our friends and family members linked so that they might get useful updates and information about cryptocurrencies from there. It might gain their interest and they might start utilizing cryptos at the best. Cryptos really are much profitable to utilize and hence I feel that most of the peoples should know about cryptos so I would first start with my friends and family.

I don’t go all out to promote Bitcoin, like wearing t-shirts with the BTC logo on it. I only mention it to people when I feel like, and if they need more explanation to understand everything about it, I help them do that. Sometimes my colleagues do talk about cryptocurrency and they don’t even know much about it, and when they do, I join the conversation and teach them everything they really need to know.

One thing I don’t do is telling people how much I have made or making, but I do tell them that there is the opportunity to have it as a passive income. Apart from that, I let them know the worst thing that can happen.

promoting bitcoin is really necessary because at this time the number of people who know and understand bitcoin is still very small. most of my family already understand bitcoin they also support me to continue to invest and work in the cryptocurrency field. I also often explain bitcoin to my friends but most of them are afraid to invest because the volatility is very high. but at least I have tried that now there is a digital currency that we can use as a means of payment and investment.

Spreading bitcoin awareness is still a necessity I think. Power of cryptocurrencies should be spread all over the society. Still we have people around us not believing in cryptos which shows there's still a need of spreading awareness about cryptocurrencies. Volatility of cryptocurrencies make people afraid of investing their time and money into it.

We need to make people believe into the positive side of cryptocurrencies and that's only possible when we as an individual take initiative.
