[POLL ADDED] English Premier League Season: 2019/2020

Unfortunately I did not see the match, I could not watch any matches today as I was busy but will catch up with the highlights to see what happened but 2-1 seems about right for me because Chelsea should not really have lost at home to Tottenham. Why has Lampard beaten Mourinho again is not really that much of a difficult question because Chelsea are a better team than Tottenham this season. Maybe when Mourinho gets his own stamp on the squad when he buys the players he wants then maybe it will be a different story but Lampard too will get the opportunity to buy his choice of players as well - the battle between these two next season will be an interesting one.

Wolverhampton Wanderers and Arsenal are still trying to make that all important 5th place finish this season because if Manchester City cannot overturn their European ban it means the team finishing 5th will get a Champions League spot.

Manchester United continue to battle with Chelsea trying to finish in 4th position.

It is good news for MU fans that the team has won impressively and now it has a chance to move up to the big 4. Actually, I was a bit surprised that the rising players at the match (won from Watford 3-0), are not star players, but Bruno Fernandes and Mason Greenwood. MU always has promising talented young players, we can see this time for Mason Greenwood as one of them.

Athletico Madrid will put up a strong defence when they play the second leg at Anfield. Will be a good match to watch.

Chelsea got beaten badly and totally outclassed by Bayern. Seems to the be the end of European road for Chelsea as far as this season is concerned, you cannot expect Bayern to lose at home to Chelsea in the return leg.

In a completely unexpected result, Watford beat Liverpool 3-0. It means they went 44 premier league games unbeaten so this is their first defeat of the season. I am sure not many people would have seen that coming.

It means the Liverpool run lasted a total of 44 EPL games unbeaten which was spread over 422 days. They nearly matched the 49 EPL unbeaten games record set by Arsenal in 2003/04 season but fell 5 short. Congratulations to Liverpool on their amazing run and congratulations to Watford for being the team that ended their unbeaten run. Well done to both teams.

Yes the coaches or managers have a tendency to save their best team for semi-finals and finals of knock out competitions and of course of the premier league matches. These are the FA Cup matches taking place this evening:

Tammy Abraham, Christian Pulisic, Callum Hudson-Odoi and N’Golo Kanté will also not play

I see that this is not a game of great importance at the moment for these two teams and therefore they will not risk putting their best players to play. I didn't place any bets for this game
