Take a look at merit history of  oceanriver

Here is the list of recent merits this user has received.
(All of merited posts have been deleted.)

44 from skysblu
50 from buyinbtc
16 from rekinthis
7 from fravia
2 from universe_
3 from ontrackk
2 from funbarrel
3 from fireball4
3 from coin_gambler
4 from Nimbulan
3 from useless4
2 from purebitco
2 from angryswamp
5 from potatopower
4 from takingthis4

Then oceanriver has sent back 50 of smerits to skysblu
skysblu has also received 42 merit from buyinbtc

The abuser thinks that there is no way to track merits if he deletes merited posts.

Notice to IDs of these accounts and see how close they are.
88178, 198181, 547405, 547412, 547602, 548943, 548945, 552972, 552974, 552978, 552983, 552985, 553235, 553238, 553242, 553575.

All of these accounts have one owner.
Not only these accounts are abusing merit system, but also they are abusing Yobit campaign. All of them are wearing Yobit's signature.

Good catch!

I was curious which posts were merited, but they're older than my scraper, and Archive.org doesn't show them either.

I'm tempted to leave then (neutral) feedback for Merit abuse.

All of these accounts have one owner.
Not only these accounts are abusing merit system, but also they are abusing Yobit campaign. All of them are wearing Yobit's signature.
I've posted this in List of banned participants in the Cryptotalk Campaign, so yahoo62278 kan take a look.

I will take a closer look at all these usernames once I'm not mobile. From what I can see just reading the topic, the OP will be removed.

Now regarding the other profiles, could they be related? Probably but the campaign rules allow for multiple accounts to join a campaign.

Now if a DT member decides to tag all these accounts( I havent looked at each profile yet to see if that has happened), then I could justify removing all of them for neg rep.

Fine line here and I don't wanna leave room for argument. It's no different then someone saying LoyceV and yahoo62278 are the same person. Needs to be more proof the accounts are connected and more discussion on whether it's really merit abuse.

Not saying I don't agree that this is likely merit abuse. What's everyone's opinion? The top 3 guys with 44, 50, and 16 merits sent look to be extremely likely culprits of abuse, but the rest are all low senders.

Opinions here would be great.

The abuse is in the fact that they all send Merit to a 4 year old post within an hour, after which the post is deleted. Although none of that is against forum rules, I'd say it's abuse.

There's a few things which line up, but there's no concrete evidence. There is definitely overwhelming support that these accounts are related, but there is no absolute definite connection. All of these accounts, or at least the ones that I've checked so far have woken up after a long period of time. I think checking whether the accounts could have been compromised is another thing we should probably look at.

I think when it comes to tagging these accounts its up to the discretion of those who do, because as always merit abuse is fairly subjective. Although, I think there's a strong case to argue here that the majority if not all accounts are connected.

I'm tempted to leave then (neutral) feedback for Merit abuse.
I haven't tagged merit abusers in a long time, and I basically decided not to because of the inherent reasonable doubt involved in making that judgement call--but in this case, I think a neutral at the very least is deserved.  It looks like a pretty obvious case of merit abuse.  Too bad those posts were deleted and are unview-able.  I'd love to see how shitty they were.

Its funny how these people think it won't look obvious.
Like those ICO scammers that use fake team member photos and plagiarized whitepapers, these idiots don't think anybody is watching what's going on.

All merits have been given today and the post is deleted. It clearly indicates that oceanriver sent merit to one of his old post from his other accounts and then deleted the merited post. It is clear cut case of merit abuse and account hacking/farming (User woke after 2 years). Even though others gave lower number of merits but why would they give merit to some old post and that too on the same day? What kind of pulchritudinous post it would be! It's really sad that oceanriver deleted such gem post. Sad

Now if a DT member decides to tag all these accounts( I havent looked at each profile yet to see if that has happened), then I could justify removing all of them for neg rep.

I'd say it's the opposite - even if it's not enough for a DT red tag it should be within campaign manager's discretion to remove accounts involved in merit farming.

The abuse is in the fact that they all send Merit to a 4 year old post within an hour, after which the post is deleted. Although none of that is against forum rules, I'd say it's abuse.

It's interesting that the threads listed in the merit log are much newer than the posts, so the posts must have been moved by a moderator as I'm not aware of a way for a regular user to do that. Perhaps the threads exist in trashcan:

Not going to bother quoting suchmoon and marlboroza but these are the types of posts that bring proof to a situation. The OP just posted an accusation with usernames. Not 100% enough to support his claim I should say, although I agree with his assessment. I would just like a little more proof shown vs the unseen.

Suchmoon posted some great evidence showing the merited posts and showing they're definitely nor merit worthy posts.

There's enough evidence for me - tagged them all. It's bad enough that they are all promoting the Yobit scammers anyway & I'm getting tired of all this Yobit spam/scam promoting all over the forum.

Take a look at merit history of  oceanriver

Here is the list of recent merits this user has received.
(All of merited posts have been deleted.)

I just do not want to discuss if it is merit abuse or not although it looks like to be.  But this a perfect example for greediness. He want to joined Yobit campaign and for that he gave merits from his alts. Now all of his accounts are at a risk of becoming useless after tagging. He would be punished here for being greedy.

Also none of these accounts have replied on this thread, maybe they are not being aware yet whats coming  Cheesy

Not saying I don't agree that this is likely merit abuse. What's everyone's opinion? The top 3 guys with 44, 50, and 16 merits sent look to be extremely likely culprits of abuse, but the rest are all low senders.

Opinions here would be great.

I don't want to weigh in someone else's opinion but if we are talking about tagging people here the only justifiable tag is on their merit abuse, since we don't have enough proof that they are controlled by one person and the campaign you are handling like you said allows multiple accounts then tagging them either as bounty cheaters or alt accounts of one person would be just unreasonable doubt. At least with the evidence shown of sending enormous amount of merits, within a short time frame, and then deleting them onward shows that their is at least a merit abuse happening without digging in any deeper if they are just controlled by one person. That is just my two cents in this case and at the end of the day it is still your call if what they did is allowable in not to happen in your campaign.

When you start looking at all the profiles you can see that alot of them were last online within 15 minutes of each other. Most of them joined the campaign 20-21 days ago, depending on timezone for the admin panel/bot. In the OP you can see some userids are very close.

They may all be linked or only most of them are linked, but they are all banned. Some may have experienced collateral damage, but I decided to nuke em all from the campaign due to the evidence presented.

Great find @hosseinimr93 and thanks to all who weighed in with opinions.

Great find @hosseinimr93 and thanks to all who weighed in with opinions.

Yeah, great find - the thing is, why did you let them join your scam promoting campaign in the first place? You obviously didn't vet a single one of them because if you had you would have seen it yourself. You're not doing your "job", instead you're watching the blood money roll in while members of the forum are doing your work for free. No wonder we now have a forum full of Yoshit spam/drama/scamming - all because you decided your reputation as a "trusted & reputable campaign manager" was worth selling to known & proven scammers.

Why I'm the only person to tag you I will never know - people of such low repute & morals like yourself are the scourge of crypto & this forum, you disgust me.

Ok I have let you speak and show your ignorance for awhile now. You obviously are not a very smart individual and don't do any sort of research before spouting off at the mouth and defaming people.

Let's start with your ignorant comments about not vetting users. Have you even read the campaign rules? Have you read the campaign thread and some of the replies?

I'm gonna guess that's a huge NO. If you had read the campaign thread or some of the other threads regarding the campaign, you would know that I have 0 control over who joins. You would also know that alts are allowed to join the campaign. You would know I control nothing except removing users whom I feel are abusing the campaign.

Problem is you don't read. You think oh I'm gonna use my main account and my alt and look like a genious and destroy yahoo. Look at me I tagged yahoo I'm so proud of myself.

I opened a thread many months ago asking for the community opinion on managing a campaign for the exchange. The results was overwhelmingly basically that the pros outweighed the cons. This is why noone else has been as ignorant as yourself and tagged me. Some users conduct themselves with more respect then the likes of you. You are just looking to get noticed.

While I'm not mad at your ignorance and your choice to tag me, I am a little confused as to why you don't do any research on subjects you feel so strongly about.

I honestly think I have done a fair job on the campaign.  You look at the ban list and there is around 500 users banned. I have saved the forum upwards of 2500 posts a day not being spammed and more get banned everyday.

I havent done it alone either, the list of participants is large and takes me a few days to go through each time. There have been alot of members that gave a little help here and there.

The campaign started out as advertising for the new forum as well. That's what the agreement between myself and Yobit was. They tossed in a curve ball last month and switched up the sigs without any notification.

I seen the new sigs and quit unless they changed the signatures. I was not in agreement with advertising the InvestBox because I don't understand how it works and if it's legit.

Regardless, I have been a huge help in the campaign and you are just nuts for going about it the way you are against me.

What respect I may have had for you has long since been lost. Good luck on your crusade and on the forum man.

Do you know, @yahoo62278 even if he is the manager of this campaign, can't control who will participate in this campaign. It is opened for all (except for banned users).
The manager here only can ban users from Yobit campaign. There is a huge list But you know that, right?

Why I'm the only person to tag you I will never know - people of such low repute & morals like yourself are the scourge of crypto & this forum, you disgust me.

You are found many scammers and tag them, doing great work. But sometimes you are often very fast on the trigger and red-tagging. it seems like you don't think it through every time (not just in @yahoo62278 case).
Just my opinion.

Here's my opinion, for what it's worth, bear in mind that I'm one of the many hundreds of users who have been scammed by Yobit in the past, so I might be a little biased, but rightly so.

Yobit are scammers - that's a fact & has been proven time & time again here & all over the web.
Yobit have had their own thread deleted by moderators.
Yobit have been banned from advertising on this forum previously.
Yobit are known spammers.
Yobit have the worst reputation of all listed exchanges according to Raja_MBZ's excellent thead:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5168200.0

Yobit runs fake ICO's.
Yobit runs fake IEO's.
Yobit operates ponzi's.
Yobit operates fake tokens.
Yobit operates fake coins.
Yobit openly steals from customers.
Etc, etc....you all get my drift.

Now, ask yourselves - who on earth would want to get involved with & promote such a group of con-men & why?

To stop spam on the forum? - no. It's worse than ever again.
For the general good of the forum & it's users? - no. noobs are getting scammed still.
Because they've turned over a new leaf & deserve a 30th chance? - no. They're still scamming.

There is only one answer of course - money. @yahoo62278 is promoting these scammers for money - nothing else. Yobit have used him to get back on this forum & he never saw it, because he was blinded by the $ signs in his eyes - plain & simple. Now we have a forum overflowing with sh*t posting, scam promoting, trust abusing, drama queens again - great job @yahoo62278 - I hope it was worth it.

I've held back on tagging every scam promoting Yobit banner user, just tagging the odd shit poster now & then, but it's got to the stage where Yobit should just be banned outright - never to be allowed back again. Ever. Theymos has already banned Yobit from bidding on advertising space due to their reputation - surely the next logical move is to ban them completely & anyone who knowingly promotes them for payment?

@yahoo62278 - your greed is to blame for all this sh*t. You sold out. If you didn't see this coming then it's your own fault. I'm going to be a little more proactive with my tags from now on - starting with @yahoo62278 for promoting one of the worst scam exchanges in crypto history for payment & cluttering up the forum with cr@p in the process.

You're welcome.

PIA went evil: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5203968.msg53160131#msg53160131 Unofficial & Uncensored SYSCOIN thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4748031.0    Do not trust Yobit/HitBTC/BiteBTC/coinsbit/p2pb2b/Mercatox/C-cex/Poloniex/WEX/KuCoin/LiveCoin/TheRockTrading/Bitfinex/ADAB/Okex/TradeSatoshi/Gate.io/Changelly/Freewallet.org/crex24 scam exchanges or ICO's by known scammers like HashCoins/Ambisafe/Bountyhive - they WILL scam you!
