in my opinion you should spend more money to buy bitcoin. because bitcoin is the main currency, it is suitable for long-term investments and bitcoin is also a benchmark for altcoin. so the percentage for bitcoin should be 60%. the next 40% is altcoin. and in my opinion LTC also includes good coins and very potential. but everything goes back to your  decision. You have done your research seriously.

Agreed! because recently bitcoin price hit 9k+ and many experts predictions says that It will reach 100k in the coming years. Yeah, I should increase my investments for bitcoin. Thanks for your valuable Suggestion.

I really appreciate your time as you researched on your own, well this will give you a big confidence and hope on how to invest in crypto and trust me you can make loads of money here.
Your advice is too frivolous). To make a lot of money, you need to spend a lot of time and make a lot of mistakes. The stock market is still different from the cryptocurrency market.

You are the one who will still decide at the end after all, I have stocks but I will not withdraw it just to transfer it in cryptocurrency market. I fully understand the risks and I have proper risk management where I diversify my funds. I have funds in cryptocurrencies and I have also funds in stock market. Invest if you think you can get more opportunity but never become a greedy person.

You can always have a safer place with the top cryptocurrencies cos their value is somewhat stable than others. Although the volatility rate is very unpredictable but you can always be safer with then and quickly switch to stable coins when bear fights. Remember to also use a non-custodian wallet for keeping them safe. Get atomicwallet if  you don't already have one. https://atomicwallet.io

Most of the coin you've mentioned are all good, with the exception of EOS you must fully understand how EOS works or function before storing it or you will be surprised at its intricacies, I have a problem transferring my Eos when I still have EOS because of lack CPU resources so if you decide to invest in EOS study the structure first.

Hello all,

I am new to crypto currency market as I was before in shares and stock market. I have basic knowledge of cryptocurrencies like how supply, demand and history of famous coins. I am looking to invest in 2-3 cryptocurrencies. My investment: $200-$500. I would like to invest little amount in starting, afterwards I will increase my investments.

Well, I select the following coins:

Bitcoin : because it is no.1
Ethereum: this crypto is down these days, but I have got a news that ethereum 2.0 will roll out this year. So, I hope that this crypto currency price will go up.
Binance: because of stability

And eos if possible

I would like to know your suggestions before taking the steps.

PS:

Thanks all for your meaningful, personally experienced replies with these coins. I am glad to posted my query on bitcointalk, this community is super active. Cheesy

Well, I read all the replies and what I got to understand is that I should decide the % of amount to invest in these coins. Even I am increasing my investment amount to $1000. I did calculation and here are the results:

Bitcoin: 25%
Ethereum: 40%

Many users said that I shouldn't go for BNB and EOS upon the basis of many factors like centralized, eos performance not good etc. Most of the experts said that I should look & analyse on these coins:

Ripple: It is popular and promising altcoin.
LTC: Confused in this altcoin. Need to do research on this one.
Doge: Not sure
LINK: Maybe Risky. Never heard about this coin before.

Well, My investments are upon the basis of long term, I will invest for 1-2 years. But, I would like to know your opinions about long term and short term, What should I choose between long term and short term?

Last question, Which exchange should I go for? I am confused in choosing a good exchange? What's your experience  on top exchanges for trading cryptos?

Thanks Again!

BTC and etherum are always a good deal. but my focus is bnb at the moment because they have best exchange out there and they do not list shitcoins just for the sake of fee. bnb will burst in the bull run however ltc, doge, and xrp are good to go as well

I don’t think that you can get really completely satisfied investment advice that suits you here, because the market is extremely unpredictable and no one knows what will happen tomorrow.
In other words, all forecasts will be conditional. The cryptocurrency market is similar to the stock market, I would recommend that you act on it as well as the stock market.

In the market, preference is always given to those shares whose companies may in the future become technology giants.
Therefore, choosing an investment project in the crypto market, I would recommend that you use the same criteria.

Namely, to choose projects that already have a business that can potentially advance ahead compared to all other garbage projects on the market.

Exchange tokens like ecxx and BNB are a safe bet. You should also allocate 5-10% of your money to microcap tokens like $BRAP. It's easier for a token to go from .000000001 to .0001 usd than it is for Bitcoin to go from 8k to 1 million. A couple ETH in a low cap coin could make you a millionaire easy. Some people only invest in microcaps.

If you were in stocks trading already might mean that you should have some basic knowledge about how the charts work and you can also study the charts.

It is also good to hear that you have increased your investment limit to $1000 but I have to ask you, have you gained any experience in cryptocurrency trading before you could invest your $1000 because it might really be a lot riskier for you to invest in unknown coins for the first time with this huge investment.

You might have to study more about the coins you are investing and also you should need to start demo trading first no matter how boring it seems or how much time it consumes. It is the basic step for you to start in order to avoid facing any loss. Also try to minimize your investment in ETH and try to add coins like ADA and cardano in your portfolio.

OP don't mind this guy because ecxx is a scam coin and i do agree about binance but that's not for ecxx and you must try to consider to suggest your crap coin called ecx to the investors.
That's a big shame and i just mark ecxx as a scam exchange site.
It's better to choose the major coins rather than try to invest in the random coin.
Just do this and you will be fine.

Agreed With You! However, taking risk is also good. For me, it's neutral risk and calculated. At the end, Perhaps I will get the best ROI from the market. Well, I am transferring 50% from stock to crpyto. 50% remaining in stock. Thanks for your valuable advice. It really means a lot to me.

I am not sure cryptocurrency market is better than stocks, but it is a good idea to invest a part of your funds in crypto. I also like your choice of coins to invest in - BTC, ETH and BNB are looking good for a long term investment.

I'd suggest to invest some % in steem, it's cheap right now (bit pumped last days but still cheap), it's has active community and new dapps keep coming. SMTs and communities are launching soon as well.

It seems that you are in favour of and spreading the importance of cryptocurrency. It is great as cryptocurrency will make us rich if we plays it in a right way. But besides bitcoin, ethereum, binance coin, ripple, other coins are lagging far behind. So far these coins have made significant gains over the years. So these coins seem potential for investment.

BNB is really a good source for investment as even we can see the price now is much higher than the price it was a month ago. The price for BNB is on a ascending graph and I really do not think that it would dump in the future because it really has a strong product behind it which is the greatest binance exchange.

Binance is one of the most popular exchange and holding most of their utility token can never be a bad choice as even if we trade on binance we would need much lower fees to trade if we use BNB as our base coin which is one of the greatest benefits of the BNB coin and I think this only reason can create a vast demand in future for BNB coin.

Link is not risky coin mate, you should investigate more. Link is one of the best altcoins at this moment. I would not suggest to invest in Doge, because it is not worth enough but you may buy Litecoin as it is the top coin since it's created, And the profit ratio is better than Ethereum! Good Luck
