It's still recommended to buy not yet late but the biggest opportunity was last year when Bitcoin was trading at $6000 to $7000 level, but like what I said it's not yet late as long as you are buying before halving you are in a good profit after the halving, that is if you can hodl your portfolio and sell it at the right time.

Each people do have their own risk management thing and if they do really able to embrace the risk then buying now would still be considerable but the question is people are still holding into these levels and trying to observe on what would be the possible movements ahead.Due to unpredictability of the market, you cant really blame people for them to observe on how the market behave and thats the time they do make a move.
The wrong thing here is that most people or majority do make mistakes on buying when the market is already rising up not totally considering on buying while its still moving sideways.

It's never too late to buy Bitcoins, even after the halving. I do not expect the price to skyrocket after the halving, but Bitcoin is unpredictable and all we can do is speculate. But I do not sell the idea that by simply buying before the halving you're going to profit.
You pointed out selling at the right time and that I believe is the best quality of a trader or hodler. Timing is the all important factor in trading; long or short term.

It will not be a genius to say that smart investors were buying during 2018 and early 2019 when BTC was only worth $3000. While I consider any price below $10000 to be a good investment, there were still plenty of opportunities to buy cheaper. At this point, maybe most are still considering 9K as the resistance. Unless the chart will say otherwise, I think 9K is a good target if you are trading. But if you are in for the long haul, that should be set higher because the market sentiment for this year is very positive.

It has nothing to do with Bitcoin halving though but people tends to panic of not buying Bitcoin when the price start to increase. Just because the price moved from $7k to $8k, some people are asking if they should buy or wait till the price reduce. I don't get it, during the time the price was below $8k and even $7k, was it not a long wait? Reluctant to act can be damaging. Normally I don't subscribe to the "buy the dip" mentality, but in this case I fully agree with you because I'm very bullish on bitcoin at the moment.  I've been thinking that 2020 is probably going to be a great year for bitcoin for some time now, so dips like the one that's currently in progress are likely good buying opportunties.  There isn't actually any upward momentum that I can see, but I have a feeling it's coming.  That's usually when you want to buy in on dips.

Eh, I'm not so sure about that, but I'm not a believer in TA anyway.  Sure would be nice if bitcoin could break through that $9k price, though.  Then we might start seeing some clear upward momentum.

Well you are right on your advice to start investing before the halving, no other better time than now to make maximum profit after the halving. Because from the halving we don't expect market value to be lesser than what we have ever had and bull run is closer.

the current price isn't the bottom in the daily timeframe. i don't know why you'd pick these prices yet its too early to say its going to go up right as early as today. i'd wait til mondayy before buying back. there is a thread that says buying on monday could be the more profitable day for BTC investor. i'd take that advice for now. unless you scalp real good for 1-2 hour, you can buy now and sell after hours of seeing its going to be drop again.

Well you are right on your advice to start investing before the halving, no other better time than now to make maximum profit after the halving. Because from the halving we don't expect market value to be lesser than what we have ever had and bull run is closer.

That is a funny hyposthesis. But no. I actually did read a lot of posts in this forum but I was in the sidelines, waiting to have something useful to say.

I got in BTC at the beginnings of 2019 & I got hooked, so I begun studying & doing brainstorming just for fun in my spare time. Years ago I had economics classes in the university, so I have some good notion of how things work. I've also been studying macroeconomics, modern economy & the history of money all togerther. And when you go trhough all this knowledge you start to see how fascinating is BTC & how it plays a major role in all of this mess. Is so complex & genius. I see BTC like liquid gold the runs through the cables of the internet.

I agree with you, less people will sell as we approach Halving, so for people that don't have their portfolio ready for May, this dips are a blessing. It has been for me.

From now on I see the price climbing, but with a lot of volatility. We will see many ups & downs, but the trend should be up. Every new low will be higher than the previews one.

Indeed, I think that we're currently entering one of the last accumulation zones for rational buyers in preparation for the upcoming bull run.

The support for BTC at $7k is very strong as demonstrated by the quick rebound as soon as BTC dipped under that level just a month or so before. The sentiment within the market quickly turned from bullish to bearish just because of this recent downturn, which I think is quite an overreaction. There is really not much room for BTC to go down further.

Anyhow, I wouldn't recommend entering into leveraged bets. Just stick to the fundamentals by dollar cost averaging and accumulating when you can, and don't spend all your liquidity at once.

For more risk averse investors, I'd say breaking above $10,350 (which will be the first higher high since June 2019) will officially kick off "dip buying season." Until then, there's still a plausible bear case.

That is actually a good advice buying at every dip is wise idea and your price analysis seem accurate now it seems the dip had ended as the price is already showing a bullish sign you very lucky to have took that opportunity of buying at dip since the beginning of the year the price had really indicated a good sign of bullish run prior to upcoming halving of bitcoin.

The most accepted prediction is that Bitcoin will really be rising maybe beyond the $10,000 zone as the rewards halving is approaching, therefore  a good risk-taker should be taking the current dip to further stock more Bitcoin as much as possible. A dip is an opportunity that we can use anytime it is happening, rather than be paranoid and panicking. The only thing is that it is difficult to determine if Bitcoin will continue to dip or will it be doing a reverse soon.

I also started buying DCA bitcoin at $ 8300 and bought them until going down to $ 7500, this year we won't be able to see bitcoin at the current price. The best time to buy bitcoin is when the price declined and thats what happening currently, hence if you're planning to buy do it now because who knows the price after this dip will rise since halving is few months away.

However it would be better if you start accumulating bitcoin last year when the price is cheap ranging to $3k, I had the chance to buy btc at that price but I already sell it when it touches $13k I earned good profit that time.

I think you are referring to dollar cost averaging plans? They generally do work out pretty well, but what people should keep in mind is that the moment of entering is important, and how frequently you buy. People tend to only show you the bullish narrative of dollar cost averaging, but it could also work against you if you buy the market down during a longer term down trend.

Instead of blindly buying in, make sure you know just enough about technical analysis so that you know where the potentially best possible entry points are. Buying every single dip is an easy way to burn through your capital and end up stressed, simply because you see the price go down further but have no more funds left to buy Bitcoin with. That really sucks hard.

Also, most successful dollar cost average stories pop up when the price has been going up for a good while. Currently most people are desperately waiting for the price to reverse trend and see their dollar cost average plan pay off.

Not really that perfect but a good time to buy since Bitcoin is in a small dip and that is a good opportunity to restock our investment. Bitcoin is quite stable on this $8.3 though trying to pump a bit but not that strong to move or break the $9k resistance again. Just maintain this strategy until you see an opportunity to sell when Bitcoin starts to go bullish a bit. But for now, just buy and hold.

a lot of the users today have the same foresight for what is coming but if the market fail the new investors to profit after the halving they will all dump and all the rest are just going to sell as well. what is really best to do for today is to scalp the market for every bucks to earn. sell when the price spikes and then buy when the price dips, that's basically what you should be doing than just wait.

XRP is not a good investment. People in control of the network can dump whatever amount of XRP into circulation (until max cap of 100 billion), without any effort whatsoever. Become very rich by doing so. This has been done numerous times. It's completely centralized & you need to trust third partys. It is not trustless as BTC. So don't get caught in it. It is unsound money, worse than fiat.

You may think I am crazy to buy when the price is going down but in reality nobody ever makes money investing into any hype or increase, if you buy something AFTER it goes up 40% then you will lose money, you need to buy it when its at the bottom and I feel like we are at the bottom right now. I don't think that at all. I do think you're crazy to make your buys like trading. Timing and predicting is basically what traders spend a lot of time on, so unless you're trading, you really will get it wrong as many times as you get it right. I personally also time a little, but since I have to make the sell (or get the coin) regularly, I end up average costing it. Looking back at my funny attempt to time buys when price is down and sells when price is up, I've probably ended making more or less the same had I NOT timed it.

People say that like its easy, dips over what regular time frame and how could I know the local low for sure at that moment anyhow.    I could guess 8000 now but now it could be equally 7000 or 6000.
   Buying the dip is still trading and requires some skill to know where the bottom price would be.  There is time based regular investing which just hopes to get the average over a time period but in theory you could be buying the peak price every time even over a year.   I guess its quite unlikely to be true or the market would always sell at that peak price thereby eliminating its occurrence as too predictable.   So the trick might be always invest 4th of the month but also its a blind strategy.

I know some people have made lots of money with ethereum, but the problem I see is that ethereum is to weird for the normal investor. Just think about BTC, it's been really complicated to explain it to normal people. Now imagine explaining ethereum. People like to invest in things they understand. BTC is in the eyes of some big investors. Ethereum is not, unless that investor is geek, which is a very low percentage. Another problem I see with ethereum is that it doesn't have a max supply. The amount of coins that can be created every year is 18 million vs less than 1 million in BTC.

Now is time for BTC. Not for ethereum.

my money are all on ethereum , but once it is hits the all time high and bitcoin undervalued i usually switch them all at once to bitcoin so i have much more bitcoin collected than ever before , why? i play with ethereum undervalued first and move on bitcoin later hehe.

I know some people have made lots of money with ethereum, but the problem I see is that ethereum is to weird for the normal investor. Just think about BTC, it's been really complicated to explain it to normal people. Now imagine explaining ethereum. People like to invest in things they understand. BTC is in the eyes of some big investors. Ethereum is not, unless that investor is geek, which is a very low percentage. Another problem I see with ethereum is that it doesn't have a max supply. The amount of coins that can be created every year is 18 million vs less than 1 million in BTC.

Now is time for BTC. Not for ethereum.

for now you can look at ethereum price , where are they now? they are still in the bottom where any other altcoins such as bitcoin cash , bitcoin sv, ethereum classic, dash and many more has made their moves to double up from the bottom.

now it is a time for ethereum to make a move , $400 is my price target next.

We havec two dips of 500$. But I m still waiting for more decline in price. 8400$ is still not an advisable price for bitcoin to buy. I will buy until I see price coming around $6000. Good luck.

After just a week the price of bitcoin has gone up even more and it is at a very important level, if it can break from this there will be a confirmation that the bull run is on, but there is a big resistance here and if it is incapable of doing it maybe we could see the price going back to 8k but I am not so sure we are going to see the price reaching 6k again but if we do then people need to get ready and buy all the bitcoin they can since most likely that will be the last time we see such an opportunity.

I knew that bitcoin would fall back in December 2017. I understood that the price will gradually decrease, then there will be a phase of uncertainty. And after that again the price increase.

Think of buying is really a good idea if we are willing to take the risk in crypto and even not get bothered if we hear some negative news around. 
Because in some cases is that some investors are just easily getting FOMO'ed when they hear like this. And if we go into this kind of investment, we need also to learn to become proactive and to be patient, there is no instant ROI in crypto that is why if we don't have these things, better not to try otherewise you are just compromising yourselves.

In some countries, Bitcoin has already been accepted as one of the payment options, it is very good to grab when the price of Bitcoin value is low because we have already seen the huge potential of Bitcoin from the past year. Start buying the dip guys. Now is the moment ⏱️ to accumulate for BTC halving. Don't miss this low. I got orders from 8,3k to 7,9k. Going lower than that it will be difficult. But who knows. I still have some cash left in case it goes lower. Be greedy when others are fearful. ⚠️

Maybe you will see that I'm new in this forum, but that doesn't make me a newbie. Read the topic I wrote called "Backbone analogy for BTC current & future price movements" where I predicted that this dip would happen.

I think this is an opportunity for investors and traders to take risk and bet their money on the currency. Bitcoin in the present is steadily gaining momentum and developing its current value. It is not far from possible for its price to pump and earn a lot if we invest in it.

It is just a coincidence that the market being in the (almost) in the bullish as halving had also been coming. However, and it is clearly understand that more investors will come when they saw the market going up rather it going down. This is most likely people would like to seek easy returns rather than of waiting. Even me, I would never put huge amount of money in crypto if knowing that there is no way we could generate money for it.
But this time and moment has come that we are heading to bullish season it is better to anticipate such flows rather than to be left behind.
