Will donate about half of my earnings/day. It´s not necessarily about getting nascar fans to adopt dogecoin. It´s the crazy amount of media coverage that this will bring. I mean, it would be the first crypto sponsored race driver AND if the dogecoin car crashes, we'll have the best dogecoin gif ever. Hahahahah So funny.Just sent 8000doges.This will be so good advertising.

Because backalley country hicks love cryptocurrencies I'm more curious what the biggest supporters and backers of Nascar will think. There's millionaires (many of the drivers themselves), billionaires (Roger Penske and Bruton Smith are no longer billionaires but there are others like Michael Helton), and US state reps and congressmen (Robert Pittenger) in that bunch. Not to mention the media coverage. Not to mention the media coverageNo one knows in advance how big the story will get, that's a big part of the drama.....not knowing. So much Wow in a doggies short life.

I agree that if news organizations worked as they should, this would not be a newsworthy story. Less than two hours after it was just suggested that /r/dogecoin could sponsor someone in Nascar, before anything had been done at all, it was already on foxsports.com and The Daily Dot. Now the story has shown up in the International Business Times and Jalopnik and ForexMinute. They haven't even done anything yet. The more outrageous the story the easier it is to write and publish.

This would be brilliant for DOGE. Put them in the spotlight again for all the right reasons. Over 7 million DOGE donated so far. 72 days left. Come on Shibes, we've got a car to wrap!

when will this car be on the nascar track and for what period of time? one year? sent some doge + fiat edit: I think the Sprint Cup begins in August? Correct me if someone knows better. The Sprint Cup started in Feb and runs through Nov. The races get 7+ Million viewers a week, and are usually the most watched sporting event of a given weekend except for a few exceptions (at least until American Football starts). Anyone who thinks that NASCAR is only followed by Rednecks is mistaken and instead just accepts that stereotype at face value. Yes, rednecks are certainly well represented in that population and I wouldn't try to argue that for a second, but there are races on tracks all over the US: Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, California, Delaware, Chicago and Indianapolis. Last I checked, there aren't too many rednecks in Sonoma California - rednecks & wine don't usually mix... Many NASCAR fans are loyal and at least some will make product purchases specifically because the product sponsors a car or driver. Although he's not the most eloquent of sportscasters, the thought of hearing Darryl Waltrip saying on national TV "Dog-coin, doggie-coin, doje-coin. What is that thing on that car!? I don't even know how to say it?, let alone what it is" would be pretty damn funny.

Depends on how much will be donated and if this guy finds other sponsors, AFAIK. AFAIK one race already 100% sure.

What about the doge charity that donated $30,000 to build water wells in kenya. Was that a gimmick?

You all should come up with a little bit ( $500k) more and sponsor a car that will actually be on camera. Losers don't get tv time and Josh Wise can barely even qualify to be in a race. A full wrap on a top ten car, for just one race, will have more people knowing about doge than bitcoin.
