[CHARTS] Brief monthly overview of the local boards activity

No worries, guys, I didn't forget about this thread, so here is the brief monthly overview of local boards activity for June 2025. All charts and table are made using data from @DdmrDdmr Merit Dashboard and @TryNinja


Post activity per local board during June 2025

During the last month, 12762 posts ere made across 18 local boards, which is almost the same as during May (12794). The thing we talked about for a long time finally happened-Nigerian local board finally took over the 1st spot from Russian board, while rest of local boards are far behind them.

Considering how things have been developing I expect Nigerian board not to loose the 1st spot for quite some time now and the difference between them to keep increasing.

Active members per local board during June 2025

During the above mentioned period, 1191 member wrote at least one post in one of the local boards, and its a decrease compared to May (1241 member).

Despite not being the most active board anymore, Russian local still had the most amount of active members, followed by Nigerian board and it will be interesting to see how much time will be needed for Nigerians to get the 1st spot here as well.

When it comes to the members who wrote only 1 post, Polish local board is the leader with 50% of those members, while at the same metric Indonesian is at the bottom with only 13%.

In the 2-9 posts bracket, Indonesian is at the top with 50% of such members, while Greek is at the bottom with 14%.

Regarding the 10+ posts bracket, Croatian is the leader with 60%, while Polish is at the bottom with only 16% of such members.

Merit shared per local board during June 2025

During June, 8710 merit was shared in local boards, which is a solid increase compared to May's number (7479). This increase is not a surprise as theymos recently approved quite a few merit source applications coming from local boards.

Regarding the most merited local boards, Nigerian and German locals changed the spots, while Russian local remained 3rd. What didn't change much is the left part of this chart, but their lack of merit is imho more caused by lack of activity than anything else.

Merit/Post ratio per local board during June 2025

During June, the avrage merit/post ratio acorss local boards was 0.68 which is an increase compared May (0.58) and continuation of the trend.

This time, German is at the top with 1.45 merit per post ratio, which is very high for such an active local board, while several others less active like Spanish, Arabic and Romanian locasl are behind. Its nice to see that Pilipinas finally moved from being dead last, spot that is now occupied by French local.

During June, 529 members sent while 613 received merit in one of the local boards that are part of this overview, and its not a big change compared to month before (503/620). Considering the increase in the amount of merit shared I expected increase in the number of those who received the merit as well, but I guess fewer amount of members wrote useful posts.

What to say about this chart, other than Romanian board is yet again at the top, with probably the highest percentage of merited posts so far, whihc is of course possible only if you don't have too many posts written.

No surprise to see that locals with the highest merit/post ratio generally have high merit/transaction ratio as well, with Greek local being the exception.

And for the end of this overview, list of the most active local board members. fter a few months, joker_josue from portuguese local regained the first spot thanks to 195 posts he made in his local, while two members of Russian local (klarki (174) and jokers10 (162) were 2nd and 3rd. I wish I'd seen my local tab move up the merit chart. But many local tabs have new merit sources, so it's hard to balance things out. Anyway, let's try.

I want to share one thing with you.
Do you present these statistics after the end of the month, or do you prepare them when you have time?

I am not Rikafip and the one creating the stats but I can still answer this logically. The month for which the data is presented has to end for us to get a complete overview of all the statistics. If the overview was created on the 25th for example, it wouldn't be complete because you would still have five or six days of the month whose data you didn't include in the overview.

The same would be true regarding when Rikafip begins collecting his data. If he did it in the middle of the month, it would be incomplete and he would have to redo everything once the month is over. That's double the work. It only makes sense doing it once when the month is over.

If I could remembered vividly I said something like this before that before this year ends or something similar that Nigerian local board gonna take over the Russian by post. I don't know if it was here I made such comment or through communication with one of the forum member but I believe I said something like this before some where. Now just take a look how the Nigerian board has taken over Russian by amount of post generated last month June, This is impressive and showing how active Nigerian users could be.

Yeah they are nice people I have ever came across in this forum and has been keeping their best to make sure the forum is that better place, they spend quality time in doing things willingly without attaching anything.

We just gets rollover the month of August and I believe this month brings good tidying to everyone here.

I miss the time when I was doing the same, preparing the monthly overview right from the day 1 of the new month. I might try the same after the summer.

The number of active members has decreased. It used to be over 100, but recently that number has dropped significantly. The main reasons are the decline in signature campaigns and the fact that many old members are no longer being selected. And generally no new users are really joining the forum. Most of the new accounts on the forum belong to people who already had other accounts. This is clearly visible in other local boards as well.

Despite all this, when you look at the overall picture, Turkish is not in a bad state. It's still the 3rd most active local board in terms of post count. It's just that Nigeria's recent surge makes the other local boards appear to be falling behind more than they actually are.

Their activity dropped indeed, but the same thing happened in some other boards as well. For example, just a year ago Russian board regularly had over 4k posts and was easily the most acrtive one, and we can see now that they dropped below 3k, with tendency to keep dropping.

Most of the new accounts on the forum belong to people who already had other accounts. This is clearly visible in other local boards as well.

Despite all this, when you look at the overall picture, Turkish is not in a bad state. It's still the 3rd most active local board in terms of post count. It's just that Nigeria's recent surge makes the other local boards appear to be falling behind more than they actually are.

I was expecting Turkish localboard to reclaim it spot in this month activities, but surprisingly Nigeria top the list in the end, and sure what EFS is right, the recent surge in activities from the naija localboard made every other board activities to look unstable for the month, but sure Turkish locals are going to regain their spot in the coming months.

Old members will definitely bounce back, when there is more engagement, no doubt that alot of older members have become inactive lately with minimal forum presence, this make they localboard participation to decline in the last few month's most if them just visit global board without even pipping to see what is happening in they localboard,.

They endured a baby steps of pain for a greater good. When a community is a bit spam-free discussion and activities from genuine members surge. Now we have the merits, the activities, everyone is happy. 

Charles-Tim is relentless and unmatched, he's been keeping the community active. We appreciate him.

Time has come for yet another brief monthly overview, and this time a little bit earlier than usual ( ) as I am travelling tomorrow and won't be too active till Sunday. Communities marked with * (Pakistan, Bengali) don't have their own local boards yet, but I included them anyway, hoping that theymos will finally give them their own local boards.


Post activity per local board during July 2025

During July, 13735 posts were written across local boards which is a solid increase compared to June (12762). Nigerian board not only kept the first spot they took from Russian board, but even increased the difference reaching their all time high of 3430 posts, while all the other boards afe far behind top two.

Regarding the boards that had decreased activity, French sticks out as their post number dropped by 50%, making it all time low (at leasts since I am making these overviews).

During the above mentioned period, 1348 members frote at least 1 post in one of the local borads, which is a big increase compared to June (1191). Majorify of this increase goes to Nigerian and Russian local boards, but other big boards contributed to that as well.

Also, its worth mentioning that Nigerian board is coming dangerously close to Russians and might overtake them in this metric as well.

When it comes to the members who wrote only 1 post, Greek board is the leader with 71%, while in the same bracket Pakistan had only 11 % of such members.

In the 2-9 posts bracket, Bengali is at the top with 52% of such members, while Croatian local board had only 14% of members who wrote that amount of posts.

Regarding the 10+ posts bracket, Pakistan leads with 53% while at the same time French local; board had only 8% of such members.

Merit shared per local board during July 2025

During July 8367 merit was sent across local boards that are part of this overview, which is surprisngly lower than during June (8710), despite two most merited boards having increased amount of merit shared. This decrease happened simply bnecause German board went from 1603 merit shared in june to only 604 in July, casuing this dump.

Merit/Post ratio per local board during July 2025

During July, average merit per post ratio across local boards was 0.61 which is a drop compared to June (0.68). No surprise there since number of post went up while merit went down.

While in june 4 local boards had over 1 merit/post ratio, this time only Spanish local boartd managed to reach that.

During July 534 members sent while 641 rereived merit on one of the local boards which is surprisingly an increased compared to June (529 senders/613 reicevers). I say surprisngly since merit shared went down noticeable, but maybe the fact that majorioty of that decrease happened on 1 board didn't affect the total numbers.

Once again Romanian local bpoard is at the top, but this time with a little bit more realistic 55% of merited posts (compared to June's 73%).

Simple, katanic97 offered me more money.  

Joke aside, Ninjastic space did that for me, and I think it's alphabet  based in case of the same amount of posts, like it happened in our local board.
