[CHARTS] Brief monthly overview of the local boards activity

July and August is summer holiday season. I expected lower numbers compared to the previous months but that wasn't the case. We did share less merits overall, but the total post count looks good. Let's see how the Germans and Italians will perform next month. Italy with its Ferragosto and the Germans with their traditional regional summer holidays that are still in full swing.

I have always been thinking that there would be a time where Nigerian local board would have to overtake the leading board, which Russian local board, I am not surprised if that is happening so soon because the energy I saw in Nigerians are some worth uncontrollably as they are coming with full force. This summer holiday is another basic edge for Nigerian to also have a full dominance over other board as most of them do not witnessed the holiday.

This is really very gratifying.
I'm shocked to see such a record as a Nigerian. From the first post per local update of Rikafip, I saw that we Nigerian posted the most with 3430.
This is really a matter of great gratification and pride for us. Our Nigeria has created a perfect position in this forum. It will impress the forum members even more in the future.

Local board charts lovers rejoice, its time for yet another brief monthly overview of local boards activity, this time for August 2025. All charts and table are made using data from @DdmrDdmr Merit Dashboard and @TryNinja Ninjastic.space.

Communities marked with * (Pakistan, Bengali) don't have their own local boards but are part of this overview nevertheless.


Post activity per local board during August 2025

During August, 13107 posts were made across the local boards which is a drop compared to July's 13775 posts. Main cause of the drop is Russian local board that went from 2773 in July to only 2170 in August, their lowest amount of posts since I started making this overview more than 5 years ago.

Needless to say, Nigerian is again at the top, with even higher amount of posts than previous month. Will be interesting to see how high they can actually go.

Active members per local board during August 2025

1344 members write at least one post in local boards during August, which is a small decrease compared to July (1348). To be honest, I expected much bigger decrease since number of posts went down noticeably, but luckily that wasn't the case.

Russian board barely managed to stay at the top, ahead of Nigerians, but I think that its just a matter of time when they drop at 2nd spot on this chart as well (wouldn't be surprised for that to happen next month).

Local board members per amount of posts during August 2025

When it comes to the percentage of members who wrote only 1 post in their board during August, leader is French board where exactly half of their active members wrote 1 post only, while at the same time Croatian board had only 12.5 % of such members.

At the 2-9 posts bracket leader is Romanian board with 50%, while at the same bracket Portuguese local board had only 16% of members in that bracket.

Regarding the 10+ posts bracket, Croatian board is the leader with 56% members while at the same time Polish is at the bottom with only 10% of members who wrote 10+ posts druing August.

Merit shared per local board during August 2025

9258 merit was shared acorss 18 local boards during August, which is a noticeable increase compared to month before (8367 in July). We basically owe this ~10% increase to German board who went from only 604 merit shared in July to 1722 in August. You don't see that kind of increase often.

Regarding the top merited board, Nigerian remained at the top with very similar amount of merit like in July (2296) and that's also interesting is that in in Pakistan thread they shared the exactly the same amount of merit like in July.

Merit/Post ratio per local board during August 2025

Due increase of the amount of merit shared and decrease of the amount of posts, an average merit/post ratio acorss local boartd naturally went up from 0.6 in July to 0.7 in August. Romanian board is back at the top with very high 2.07 merit per post, but German is not that far away with 1.85, which is even more impressive since its one of the most active local boards.

At the same time, Greek board wenmt on with the decrease, and this time they had only 0.02 merit shared per post which is comparable to some of the lowest quality parts of the forum and I am sure that its not the righ representation of the situation there.

Merit senders and receivers per local board during August 2025

562 members sent while 701 received merit which is an expected increase compared to July (534 senders, 641 receiver). At the top is Nigerian board, while German and Russian are far behind.

Percentage of merited posts across local boards during August 2025

Romanian board is regularly at the top here, ranging from 50-75% of merited posts, but this time they outdid themselves- 100% of the posts written in August got merited. Even though they wrote only 27 posts in that period, its still quite impressive feat. And then on the other side we have Greek board where less than 2% of the posts were merited (to be  more specific, only 1 post got merited).

Usually, boards with high merit per post ratio are at the top here, but this time French board took that title despite having quite low (~0.3) merit per post.

The most active members per local board during August 2025

Last but not the least in this monthly overview, the list of the most active members per local board. joker_josue from Portuguese local remained at the top with 136 posts (which is quite low number for him) while Julien_Olynpic (135) from Russian board is at the 2nd and Mandown (123) from Turkish at the 3rd spot. Nice to see the Croatian board maintaining a steady post count. It's a shame that we've seen a decline in the number of active users this month. I'm also glad that I managed to enter the "Most Active Members per Local Board" in 9th place. Now the only thing left is to keep up the good work

It really wasn't a very high number. I think September is going the same way.

Nigerian local have one of the most highest number of active members. So it's only logical that they'll be able to top at every category!
As for Bengali local board, where I'm from, what we lack is active members! We only have around 20-25 active members! But we are consistently posting though.
Btw have even ever calculated number of posts and active members ratio? That way maybe we can compare our performance against other locals and vise versa!

And I am quite impressed with the results and performance of Nigerian in the number of posts they generated last month and the previous months, this shows that they aren't backing anytime soon because the momentum is actually strong.
I think they will keep being at the top continuously since the energy has already came into them to take over the Russian local board.

I can see some changes and shifts in local boards, but I think we are going to see more activity now after summer season is finished.
Another change I saw is that Russian board in not leader anymore in most categories.

Mandown (123) has more posts than klarki (122). He's in third spot.

The growth rate of the Nigerian section is incredible. 340 members have made 3812 posts. I wonder how much more they will grow.

i think that a big reason for the overwhelming increase of our nigerian friends is that word has gotten around there that if you are on this forum for a long time and actively participate, you can eventually earn real money with your posts
and that is of course the goal of many nigerian users, because the $40-$80 in BTC per week is a lot of money in this region and if you extrapolate that to a month, you can get by well with the money and then everyone wants to take part in a signature campaign

in my opinion, the same also applies to the regions around the philippines, indonesia etc.

For the first time in this forum I'm seeing any local beat the Russian board by post count. I have not checked this thread for a while, just today I noticed that the Nigerian local board have overtaken the Russian board to become the most active local board in the forum. it is worth celebrating. Let us see what next month will bring and if the Nigerian local board can sustain the momentum.
