The boards from Turkey, Russia, and Nigeria really stand out quite a bit compared to the others.

I'm surprised that, even so, I managed to post more than the members of those boards.

Until recently, German board was also somewhat keeping up with them but they slowed down, together with many other locals.

I can only imagine your numbers if you had as many active members as Russian or Nigerian local boards.

Rikafip, I was already a little worried when I hadn't seen your local forum statistics this morning, but I'm glad that you still manage to share these reports with us on time, for a number of years, and I'm grateful to you for Roma (and I believe other local forum members too).
It's good that we have a growth in the number of posts again and that the decline in activity has stopped, although we didn't share many merits last month.
I see that the Croatian local board is very good and that we have a very good activity regardless of the relatively smaller number of active members, and in the percentage of merited posts per local board we are at the very top.
Of course, our local champion is still the same and he is not giving up his throne to anyone.

I enjoy making these overviews, it's just that I often have a hectic schedule that involves a lot of traveling, so I end up publishing them late, as I can’t be bothered doing this kind of work on a laptop screen alone. I’ve been spoiled by multi monitor setup, like probably everyone that tried them.

On the Italian board, I think I have been quite productive with my overview. Yet another user started posting stats on the board. I think that this was an addition to the thread, as he found other meaningful stats I wasn't covering. Now we both publish slightly different reports, covering different metrics.
This is my personal take on this, and I reckon this thread was started by Rikafip, who did an excellent job at maintaining the work.
We often joked about being sloppy at updating the thread; the reality is this kind of effort is a marathon, not a sprint, and consistency is difficult in the long run.

It should be out soon, maybe even by the end of this week. What I can promise you is that it will be out sooner than last month, I won’t wait until the last day.

True. Sometimes I plan to publish it early (and even start making it) but then something else comes up and I get sidetracked. Other times I am just procrastinating, even though I still enjoy making these charts.

Its time for yet another brief monthly overview of local boards activity, this time for April 2026. All charts and table are made using data from @DdmrDdmr Merit Dashboard and BitList

Communities marked with * (Pakistan, Bengali) don't have their own local boards yet.


Post activity per local board during April 2026

During April, 13283 posts were written across 18 local boards that are part of this overview, which is a slight decrease compared to March (13524). Nigerian remained the most active board, followed by Russian and Turkish and all the other far behind,  while the bottom few remained the same like in the previous months.

During the last month, 1276 members wrote at least 1 post in one of the local boards, which is an expected decrease compared to March, during which 1305 members were active. Once again Nigerian remained the most active one, but this by not so big difference compared to Russian, while all other local boards are far behind.

When it comes to the percentage of members who wrote only 1 post in their board during October, leader is Polish board that had 57% of such members, while Pakistan had only 11%, lowest among all local boards.

At the 2-9 posts bracket leader is once again Romanian board with 71%, while Croatian local board had only 16% of such members.

Regarding the 10+ posts bracket, leader is Turkish board with 48%, while at the bottom is Polish that had no members who wrote 10+ posts during last month.

Merit shared per local board during April 2026

Last month, 7462 merit was shared across local boards, which is an increase compared to March (7089 merit). This increase is shared among the few boards, while the most merited one (Nigerian) had a small decrease compared to the March.

More observant members might notice that French local board is missing from this chart, and that's because they didn't send a single merit in their local board during April. I don't know what's going on there, but its definitely not good.

The average merit per post ratio across local boards during April was 0.56, which is am increase compared to March (0.52 merit per post) and was epxcted due drop in the amount of posts written and increase of merit shared.

Spanish board is back at the top, followed closely by Romanian while Italian and Croatian close the group of those with more than 1 merit per post. At the same time, Greek board is down at only 0.05 merit per post, but its good to see that Pilipinas numbers are slowly improving.

In April, 530 members sent while 601 received merit in one of the local boards, and is an increase compared to month before (517 senders, 602 receivers).

Once again Romanian board is at the top, and once again with 60% of merited posts, but Italian is also not that far away with 49% which is even more impressive considering how much more active they are than Romanian board.

The last but not the least, the list of the most active local board members. joker_josue from Portuguese board was once again the most active one with 134 posts (1 less than month before), while 2 members of Russian local board, safar1980 (128 posts) and klarki (127 posts) are right behind him. I'm busy with something else

Ok, seriously now. Let’s compare the french section to a big family Christmas dinner. There are parents, grandparents, children, uncles, nieces, and cousins. In short, everyone. Some people we love, others not so much. That’s just how it is in a lot of families.

At first, everything goes smoothly, everyone is laughing. There are a few jokes that get a bit rough, but in the end everyone is there for Christmas (Bitcoin and cryptos).
The meal is in progress, and the alcohol is flowing freely. And that’s when the annoying uncle brings up the topic of… politics. More specifically, the Gilets Jaunes and COVID. And that’s when things start to fall apart. Debates heat up, and groups form.
And little by little, some people leave the table and never come back. But the biggest idiots are the ones who stay here.
By the end of the dinner, they realize there are only two or three of them left (and they don’t care about Christmas (merits)). They return home, pleased with themselves.

For quite some time now, I have decided to stop giving merits on political topics. I’m focusing on Bitcoin and crypto topics in the french section.
And what was bound to happen finally happened in April 2026 : 0 merit.
That’s a very brief summary from my perspective. Some will say it’s all my fault. But that’s another topic.
But May will be much better .

It is. Usual suspects for that to happen are Greek, Polish or Romanian board, but this is the first time for French.

They have been on the steady decline for quite some time now, so I guess this had to happen at one point.

Indonesia now seems to be quite behind, because some Source Merit applications have not been accepted so that the merit distribution is very lacking, making some posts less crowded and less attention.
There are actually a lot of quite active members of the old members and new members.

We are here to speak, learn and discuss about Bitcoin, who surely is a “political” topic, but this shouldn’t allow fighting over stupid political views over mundane events.
