With the current market condition, I've disposed my portfolio consisting of new project..... I can't take the risk of holding them during the global crisis and extreme bear market because not all of them will survive the storm and as such i can only trust already established coins and tokens. My current portfolio contains most of the coins in the 10 of cryptomarketcap ranking with special preference to BTC, ETH and BNB

I hold the LTC and ETH mainly because of their proven track record. The haters gonna hate but there is no better alternative for the ETH blockchain. Creating a new one and applying the necessary things will take time which equals money.

Both LTC and ETH are tried-and-tested coins that have performed well over the years. Litecoin is one of the oldest, and best-performing cryptocurrencies in the Blockchain space today. It's second next to Bitcoin in terms of its limited supply of only 84 million coins that will ever be mined. Aside that, Litecoin has faster transaction speeds and lower fees than Bitcoin itself. With the recent announcement of integrating the "Mimblewimble" privacy protocol into Litecoin, I think it's a great long-term investment. The good thing about Litecoin is that it resembles Bitcoin in every way. Using the pioneer cryptocurrency's codebase, Litecoin will be able to remain resilient against attacks for years to come.

As for Ethereum, I believe that it's also a great-old coin to invest for the long term. It's close to being upgraded to PoS, which means greater performance and lower energy consumption. The Ethereum platform is the leader of the smart contracts space with ample support from developers and individuals worldwide. With Vitalik Buterin by its side, nothing can go wrong. Over the years, the Blockchain platform has been tested against external attacks and it has performed quite well to date.

Other good-old coins that are worth holding for a long time are Dogecoin and Monero. The former may not be active in development but it still has a large community supporting it. Not to mention, DOGE is traded on numerous exchanges in the crypto space. It's highly inexpensive, yet faster than Bitcoin in every way. You can use Dogecoin for tipping others or sending micropayments for services worldwide. And last but not least, we have Monero which is a tried-and-tested cryptocurrency that focuses on users' privacy than anything else. Transactions are hidden from the public by default, making it a great fungible cryptocurrency for daily payments. Despite the fact that there are other privacy coins which have somewhat-better tech than Monero (ZKPs), it's still the leader on the market.

Nonetheless, holding old coins is great because they're resilient against external attacks unlike newer cryptocurrencies of today. I tend to focus on few old coins that have made their reputation over the years. Those are Namecoin, Peercoin, and Primecoin. Each have their unique features and strong community support within the crypto space. Their prices may be still low, but that doesn't matter since their Blockchain networks are as strong as ever. What matters most is their usability and reliability than anything else. As long as you stick to good-old coins, you'll never experience undesired hacks (if you take the necessary precautions) like it's the case with newer coins like IOTA and NANO. Just my opinion Smiley

I've been involved with Coin Business since its inception. I can swear you mentioned or expected old coins that many have gone extinct and some are dead. I can't take the risk of holding some during the global crisis and extreme bear market Sadly, I did not keep them in my savings. So I look forward to seeing your next step.

Old coin that i have is BNB and NPXS that i have since 2017, sad to see the price at this time especially NPXS the price is fall so deep but glad to see BNB is the potential coin that i have. I hope both the coins price will increase soon.
Dude, BNB is like everyone's stamp food token especially if you are traders on Binance. Heck, even I'm not mainly use Binance as my main exchange but I still have a few BNB on there.
For me, the oldest coins I have on my bag is DGB. I think the year 2017 is really turning point of crypto with a lot of new coins appear from that timeline.

A lot of cryptocurrencies have been created throughout time.

I personally have not held onto any old or even dead blockchains.

But I am working on a new project focused on old blockchains and with the attempt of reviving them.

I wanna ask what everyone here is holding onto.

I am mainly interested in coins from 2014 and older, but anything you deem "old" is welcome! Smiley

I might hit you up if I find your coin interesting Cheesy

One of my new picks is Leacoin because of its age and simple configuration.

One of this coins in which I hold em so far are Nem, Rdd, Nxps, Dgb, and Waves these are the altcoins were in the market
still listed in different platform exchange whether the exchange are potentials or not in the market at the moment.
And I think YO was still good to hold too I guess.

I am interested to know what you are trying to do with old or dead coins, from that interest, I have some dead coins. If you want, I will sell them to you. If you can agree, then I think it will be very positive for both of us. Thanks

Apart from Bitcoin, Litecoin is perhaps the oldest coin I have in my wallet right now. I lost the vast majority of my LTC holdings when BTC-e/Wex.nz closed down, and then again lost some when Cryptopia ceased its operations. So my current holdings are rather small. Apart from Litecoin, I have some Ethereum and Stellar Lumens in my wallets, but these coins are not that old.

Most of all I like Litecoin because this coin has a very good chance of rising prices above $ 100. I believe that Litecoin is the best of old coins.

For the time being I have some old coins in my wallet, like BNB, DASH, IGNIS and NXT. specifically for IGNIS and NXT, I experienced huge losses on these two coins, and until now I have not sold because the price was very different when I bought it.
Indeed, trading in cryptocurrency is fraught with risks, but we must learn from every mistake we have made, so that we don't fall into the same hole a second time.

i only hold bitcoin and eth... and yes, some shit tokens which are not worth mentioning. i think with btc and eth you can't go wrong.
most other coins don't interest me and they don't bring enough innovations on the table to buy them.

We have the same experience with IGNIS, really sad. But it was a valuable experience, right?
Since then I have been less interested in holding, so I only focus on trading by collecting capital from the bounty campaign.
Everyone has their interest in a coin. This is not something that can be decided in a short time, need analysis, even this can create emotional connections. But in general, coins that are ranked top in CMC such as BTC, ETH, etc. are the best choice if you want to hold. The development is clear and market confidence in the development of the project is also very good.

i just joined in the final semester of 2017, so the coins that i currently hold are only coins made in 2017.
i don't have coins older than that in my wallet.  Grin

i became interested in your goals, and became curious about what you did with the coins.

Litecoin is a popular coin too and is still widely used by people as payment transactions, I often use Litecoin too because the fee is small and the transaction speed is fast, and I still keep a little Litecoin in my wallet until now

I joined Atomic Wallet bounty back in 2018 and earned some tokens. I have followed the project closely and invested till today I have never regretted. They have honest team with a great product which is their wallet. Initially it was just a regular crypto wallet with the usual features but now, things have changed. More token use cases and new features such as staking, exchange, buy crypto etc.

If you say old coins, I have plenty of them getting rotten in wallet wallet all together. 😂😂 Most of them usually from airdrop and bounty projects that had gone with the wind without even starting or running their projects for at least a year. Hopefully there are some entity or group that would filters incoming projects in order to avoid these kinds of waste projects in the future.
same thing happened to me many times - you register in airdrop, wait for updates, eventually coin is out there on exchanges (hopefully), and in some really rare cases you have a chance to sell 'em off fast enough so can grab your profit
most of the time there is no such opportunity

Litecoin has a price movement that follows the flow of bitcoin so if you store assets in the form of Litecoin then it is very good because the price movements are stable and safe will provide a lot of profit for holders or long-term trading, for now I still save assets only in forms of Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin.

You have to add Ripple I think, because Ripple also always makes a surprise if the price of Bitcoin goes up, look at the performance of Ripple yesterday, Ripple increase is also high, more than 8%, this is good for the ripple to start a bullish trend just like Ethereum

I also have some ripple, but maybe I will be more interested in ETH and BNB. some new projects might not be interesting, that's why many investors are more interested in old coins which I think have been saved from the beginning of this year.

I have some old coins in my wallet that has no value now. Before it was in the market but now it is worthless. I think it is not good to hold coins without a clear direction because after a few months it is worthless,no value at all.
